  • I believe the gravel drop originated from the old WB cartoons from the 1950's. I don't know what it's called. It's one of two similar ones that were used quite often.

IIRC, both were used in "Enter The Dragon" as well as its parody, "A Fistful Of Yen".

  • @tsntana

Yep. In fact, I had sourced the gravel drop from "Enter the Dragon." The punch sound I sourced from the "Without Reservations" episode of the "A-Team," season 5.

  • hahaha first one was perfectly timed! I was actually trying to find out what the origin of that fake punch stock sound effect cause its everywhere...does anyone know what its called or where its originally from?

  • @gugamovies

I wish I knew the origin of these sounds, too.

I managed to get my sound effects from about three DVD sources where the sound quality was good and there was nothing else in the sound.

The gravel drop sound was sourced from "Enter the Dragon" while the punch sound effect was sourced from a season 5 episode of the "A-Team." I have another gravel drop sound effect, which wasn't used here, that was sourced from "Rebel without a Cause."
