Fortunate? You're letting your bargaining committee take away your future. You should be happy to have a job in this day and age. You'd rather make $800 a month strike pay, than $4000 a month and have a job to call your own? If thats the case, I can't help but think that unionized miners are a dumb fucking bunch of boneheads.

Under normal conditions no one wants a strike company or union but these are abnormal times. Vale knows if they do not get these concessions now they will not get them later as market conditions improve. AS it is comodities like copper, are exploding in price.
Nickel has doubled since the strike began.
The question is how long will Vale wait? What does the world price have to be to trigger them to resume talks?.
