this game sucks with 1 player but I remember it being a lot better w/ 2 people. I'm not sure, but i think you can grenade your own tanks, thus pissing off your teammate

They do walk pretty slow sometimes the nintendo would slow things down if there was to many things on at one ,This game just slows down period.

I first played this game on the Amstrad and loved it. Gotta agree with you that the NES version doesn't cut the mustard. Good review.

This game is pretty generic, but Ikari Warriors II makes this one look and play like God of War.

Wrong, they are Vince(red) and Paul(blue). Their names get changed to Ralf Jones and Clark Still(pronounced "Steele") in SNK's King of Fighters '94.

In the manual their names were Vince and Paul. I might have the colors mixed up but take a look either at the manual or any gamefaq you find.

In the Japanese versions, their names were always Ralf & Clark. The manual just has their Americanized names.

That's cool. I prefer them being called Ralf and Clark anyway. But they especially use their names a lot more in the sequel. You know, the Ikari Warriors in the future? Yeah that's right, Ikari Warriors in a future-Earth where there are aliens and all kinds of whacked-out technology.

No, Ikari Warriors 2 was a similar platform to the first one in which you go up the screen instead of the side scrolling Metal Slug has.  Metal Slug is waaaaay fun. All those games.

It was a very lazily done NES port of a good Arcade game. The NES version was slow and only served to get slower.
