She is very beautiful and sexy. She is the black Jessica Alba.Looking at her she must have some white ancestry .She does not look like a pure black girl even if both of her parents are black. She looks like a mixed race woman. The way she looks the way she talks. She does not speak like a black girl.I am not black but I would definitely want a wife like Marion.
@ypaul83 wat u said about black women is kinda degrading. i mean y she gotta be mixed with something to be beautiful or why she gotta be mixed with something because how she talks. i am a beautiful black girl everyone tells me that, and i talk proper it doesnt mean im mixed with something its just that thats the way i am.
Marion Jones goes to our church here in Austin, TX at shoreline christian center. Our pastor interview her, and she told us about her tracking, drugs, recovering, other things she talked about. Our pastor, most of the time before he teaches a sermon...he ask the congregation who is glad that your in church but not in prison....Marion Jones was like....Im glad im not in prison. lol
"I love her smile. If I were the judge I would've given her a lighter sentence simply because of that (however I wouldn't have made it known to the public)."
Yep, corruption is a human failing and it's rife through all societies. The worst thing are the hypocrites that scorn someone when they get busted when they are guilty of corruption themselves; it's a sick world.
Just think. If every politician who told a lie went to prison, the government would disappear by tomorrow. If every CEO who told a lie went to prison, the market would crash tomorrow.
so she broke some arbitrary sports rules- ban her from competing, ok but PRISON? she didnt kill anybody or even hurt anybody. prison.. for someone who plays a game? well, she did lie- ABOUT PLAYING A GAME
Cheney is the one who should go to prison, Bush should go to prison-
\this women DID NOT KILL ANYONE. all she did was cheat a bit (she might have won anyway) to win a race. how unbelievably inconsequential
@inputmodule Everyone knew this sentence was harsh. The judge wanted to use this high profile case to send a message. He knew that people would remember this case for a long time to come. Had Marion Jones been less popular and successful, her sentence would certainly not have been this hard
@inputmodule I completely agree. She didn't harm anybody but herself, her family and maybe her sponsors. Yet there are people who are murderers, drug dealers and human traffickers walking the streets all over the world. Her imprisonment was rediculous. A farce promoted to make headlines and sell newspapers and magazines...
@deebastard77 she did technically hurt people the thousands of people who came to her meets to see her run and paid good money to see her. see she still keeps the money she won and the endorsments she gave the medals wow wee.
Every since she hasn't been in Track & Field, my interest for that sport left. She was truly a star in the career field. I've tried to watch and gain my spark back into it, but it's just not the same without her.
President Clinton lied and he did not do one day in jail! It's called old fashion racism! Roger Clemons, Mark McGuire this country is sick! The Most High is going to set things in order, come Lord Jesus and destroy all of these wicked people! Hyprocrites!
@PastorDowell Ok. I was goin to site McGuire and Clemons as well. Was going to include Barry Bonds and other atheletes as well as politicians who rehearse lies and live absolutely deceptive lives. Racism? Definately. Possibly. Maybe. I don't know. I do know that the type of people who would lock up this beautiful mother of three are driven only by selfish and self-serving motivesand therefore are no reflection of true Christians. The whole racism concept; would love to have a conversation on it.
I always admire Marion Jones and this made me admire her even more!! To stand up like that to what you've done, talking so calmy about it and taking responsability for her actions it's great proof of responsability and maturity. She's a great woman and i'll always remain a fan of hers!! We all have our moments of doubt like when we didn't do the right choice we're not perfect.
I always admire Marion Jones and this made me admire her even more!! "She is so beautiful and so talented to continue to fail. I believe that the Lord will bless her just like He continues to bless those who fall short and call on His name for deliverance!"
Sure she broke the rules and took steriods. She should not have been treated so awful. Seriously the law is shitty. Men can go around beating their wives and not be put in prison, yet someone takes steriods (which physically only hurts them and none of their teammates) and be put in prison. So many serial killers that the police can't find and Marion Jones of all people gets prison time. I tell ya, the law is just SHITTTTT!!!
@Mikizzle15 I agree with you 100%. The laws on drugs are absolutely ridiculous. Soft drugs should be sold the way cigarettes and alcohol are sold. Teams should test for steroids, but people definitely shouldn't go to prison for taking them. People should have the right to do what they want with their bodies.
I have always had a crush on Marion Jones and this interview and the maturity of her has made me fall inlove with her again.... MARION JONES MARRY ME!
Marion..As i grew up, you became my hero & inspiration, when i ran college track-i shared the track with you & met you @ Mt SAC, you were my hero & inspiration. When i heard this, you remained my hero and inspiration. I share in your courage and sympathize with the immense stress/demands of being a pro athlete. i've been challenged & told all my life i couldn't reach my dream. with all do respect,I know that nothing was handed to you & the sweat and strain wasn't for nothing.love to your name
Why dont they let everyone take whateva they want?
Surely the point is to be the fastest possible using all resources available.
If we humans have found things to make people run faster and they are willing to take them, what is the problem? just like inventing a new part to a F1 car.
Then it would become a competition between who can obtain and consume the best and the most drugs, rather than who has the best athletic ability...and all athletes would end up having severe health problems or dying.
She knew exactly what she was taking....if she put so much effort into her training and was so specific about it then she must have known what she was taking.
I am a former track and field athlete. I ran the same time Marion started running. I admired her even as a male athlete. I new from running all my yrs that the times that she ran and the way she recovered after running those races pointed to doping. Again I didn't want to believe someone so incredibly talented would need to go this far. I really miss her in the sport and am truly sorry she had to ruin her career like this.
Wow! So your an actual olympic sprinter! That's so cool! When I grow up I want to be an olympic sprinter, like you! Since I'm in 7th grade I have plenty of time to train, so that I can become faster. Just for curiosity, I want to know the best way to train for sprinting.
when many athletes are doping, there is immediate pressure on an individual athlete within the same system to do likewise and rationalize it from the perspective that everyone else is doing so, so its ok. the ironic thing is that she dosen't even need PEDs to be a champion.
I actually ran with Marion when she was in High School in cali. I remember being in awe of the girl. I am a dude. But I would stop whatever warm up or cool down I was doing just to watch her compete. when this first came out that she was on drugs, I couldn't believe it. I'd always known her to be superb. It sucks that the sport didn't get to see her true talents realized over the last couple years. She could have dominated like none others.
I'm the first to comment? Wow. She can't vote, what a shame. People really need to think of the consequences before they take certain actions. Disgraceful.
She is extremely articulate!!
