i remember this anime, from watching it on tv/computer and i used to buy a whole bunch of toys and model kits, i was a huge fan of what used to be my favorite anime, robotec, that is the name i remembered in the old days instead of macross. I remember playing the games on the ps2 too, there was one with the regular macross, and than i had another whrere you turned into a motorcycle but my memory is hazy but to put it in words i loved this anime and i'm glad to see someone review something i love

It's when you compare same-scale Valkyrie fighters to Gundams that you notice how ridiculously (and slightly improbably) small the RX-78's Core Fighter is xD

I have a Revoltech Tranformable VF-1s Valkyrie and i'd say it's about 1/100 scale. Looks great next to a MG, but put a Core Fighter next to it and it's just laughable how small it is... (not to mention the lack of cockpit room in there in comparison!)

I watched the entire Robotech series last year, I have it on DVD, I haven't seen much other macross stuff, other than fansubbed Macross Zero. I think you've just convinced me into buying one of these figures once and for all.

LoL, "Big Box" as Macross toys go this is one of the smaller boxes! XD You should see the 1/48 scale's, they didn't even try to save space!

The detail up looks brilliant. I'm still way to scared to go near any of mine with a Gundam marker or pencil

I've been meaning to do an unboxing.. you can actually buy this toy as a Kit!!! and It's fantastic! all the parts are in bags like a resin kit. It's the exact same, but you get to build it. Plus its completely white for customization...JETFIRE!

Wow. I've always wanted one of these. Specifically the VF-0S but the cost for them is just WAY too much for my taste.

I always did like the commander's type models for the VF lines. VF-1S, VF-0S, VF-25S, etc.

I have all the macross plus yamato 1/60 figures and i would haft to say they very nice but they set me back a few bucks :/ but well worth it if you are a fan of macross plus.

@Gomenchaiii, I have a Hasegawa 1/72 non-transformable kit of this same Valkyrie... But for the transforming ones, I prefer figures cuz I don't have to worry as much about breaking them
