I didn't know the 13th NC reeancting unit had a fifes and drums? What group is in the video? Also what unit is shown in most of the "marching and action" scenes?
NCFIRE--We portray the 3rd Confederate States Infantry Regt Co E, est Jan 31, 1862 as a combination of 19th Arkansas Inf (Marmaduke's) and 1st Arkansas Batt. They were part of the Army of Tennessee and fought at Shiloh, Perryville, Farmington, Murfreesboro, Chicamauga & Ringgold Gap among others. They were consolidated with other units toward the end of the war and surrendered at the Bennett House in NC on 4/26/65. We're in California, but some of the guys are SCV and went to Shiloh last year.
Interesting video. I liked the interviews particularly. I just started re-enacting and am having the time of my life. I just can't understand why more people don't do it.
Just a suggestion if you don't mind: always try to document with primary sources anything you wear, use, etc. It's as easy to do it right as it is to do it wrong. Reenactors have a responsibility to send an accurate message to the public. I've done rev war for 17+ years and while I haven't always gotten it right, I'm always willing to change whatever I find I'm doing wrong. Best regards.
Fantastic! I've been doing ACW Living History for 10 years not & love it. I was with the 15th La Vol Inf Regt but we had to disband. I now do yankee but there is talk of a Gerogia Regt starting up. I wish there was more interest here in Australia.
Thank you for your hard work. I have an utmost profound respect for those forgotten American heroes. The boys who went to war to preserve the United States as it was originally established by our forefathers.
I've always wanted to join a group of re-enactors. I live in Charlotte. Wonder what I have to do to join! If you could, e-mail me some details, my e-mail is : Ghostseeker1@Yahoo.com.
I made it myself. It was shot at the same time I was shooting a dramatic video, "The Atonement" (available through Amazon). I did the shooting and editing.

The company seems populated enough to vote your unit commander up to, maybe, 2nd Lieutenant?
