Me and a lot of my friends were major lord of the rings battle for middle earth 2 fans. I was so excited when you announced kings and castles. My question is, what will you guys be offering differently or more improved than this game? It seems like they have already done the dragons, ogres and other things you guys are doing. I know your still in developement, but will the graphics be better and gameplay than LOTR?
Will this be in the video blog? That would be awesome.

how about a third ressource like "people"? Every solider cost one of them and you get them by building farms that also porduce food. i think this would be more realistic to the game. May be you can make it like the more people you have the more food you produce.
Please, please, please, don't let non-siege units attack the wall! It looks idiotic when a bunch of swordsmen or archers takes down a section of the wall. Attacking a castle is serious business not some picnic ;)
@IWoytaZI I voted up because I like the idea, but the tech level for building walls would have to be at the same or one level lower than seige equipment needed to take it down. Otherwise, if everyone has access to walls from the beginning there's nothing to stop turtling for half the game. If walls to siege equipment tech ratio can't be worked out then I'm fine with a soldier slapping at a wall.
There's also other options, maybe sappers could be made at an earlier tech level. And different types of walls could be constructed earlier that could be taken down by footmen, or maybe ax men taking down wood walls.
Early on you should probably be able to afford only weak, wooden walls, that could be taken down by almost every unit. Later, as walls are getting stronger, you should gain access to catapults/trebuchets, siege towers and battering rams. Plus mages and (at least some) magical/legendary units should be able to tear down walls.
I think there are plenty of ways for GPG to make it work right.

I want castles to be powerful, extremely costly things which in MOST CASES WILL HAVE TO BE SIEGED FOR SOME TIME, before they get can be taken down. Dragons are awesome, but please don't render castles useless by dragons.

Absolutely.

I really dont want to see swordsmen chopping down walls, walls should force the opponent to get siege equipment.
