the one who helped brian died a decade ago dude o stop freaking lying. u didnt know any of them and u bought it in the rs forum. i sniff the lies in the air.
If you knew anything you would know that Greg Fryer did the restoration and he is very much alive! My friend allowed Fryer to use his uncles spray booth and the guitar was left in my friends house whilst it dried. I made this guitar , as I have all of my RS replicas. Try to learn some facts before talking crap.
Have to say, I love these videos, and hopefully one day when my guitar skill catches up I can learn from these fantastic tutorials. How did you go about doing the research necessary to make your own Red Speciai? I plan to buy a replica some years down the line, but not until I'm good enough to be worthy of it :P
Thanks! Research was quite a long task. Fortunately I knew someone that had helped with the original guitar during it's restoration. He explained it's construction and I re-drew plans. There is loads available nowadays to help.A good guitar can also help you improve too. If it's 'easier' to play then that can advance your level quicker than if you are struggling on a 'dog' of a guitar.
Check the link on my page as that shows a great RS forum that can answer all your questions.
