You can see in the video how the "trunks" of them grow really long, . Its because it doesn't have the proper light and trying to grow really long towards the light source, unfortunately this will lead to the demise of the plant. This word gardeners use for this is the plant is getting "leggy".

well no shit, bean spouts a typically grown in the dark so you get a better yield... you just start them in light...

but with the full grown bean plant its a different story

Mung beans typically grow faster (and produce much longer sprouts) than lima beans.
