Thanks, I've got a few versions of Peter Gunn. It's like Classical Gas, I never get tired of new versions. Guess that's how you know it's a classic.
This sounds great. Fun to watch your drums. There's a moment late when you just hold the sticks and wait. I keep expecting you to jump in, but you let the rest of the song move....and then you hit the drums. Excellent.
I know that phantom power on the interface is split by channels 1-4 and 5-8. I have a 5-piece set with cymbals. I have 2 Shure SM-81 condenser mics. I want to mic the snare, 3 toms, bass drum, and cymbals. I will use my SM-81 mics overhead for cymbals. That leaves me with 5 dynamic mics for each drum piece. My concern is that I'm afraid to run phantom power on channels 1-4 or 5-8 if I have to use dynamic and condenser mics at the same time. How do you have your mics connected to the interface?
I have two Profire 2626 connected with ADAT (optical cable). One Profire is dedicated to dynamic mics and one to condenser mics. I have seven dynamic mics and four condenser mics. For you should not have problems in to connect all the microphones to the Profire. Take care!
