wow.... first i thought.. ok... this is also the reason of his " solo ... carreer... part... wathever XD ---> mike *g*" but than.... amazing... thats like they are so wath did i waited for? ;) thumbs up
A true artist will play ANY song that moves them, inspires them, without any concern about what others may think of their song choice. Beautiful song. Beautiful rendition.
These are real people with real talent, this is what happens in a REAL studio. Do you really think artist nail the song everytime, especially on the spot like that.... Well done F*** the haters
Being a musician, I have ventured into different genres of music. Even to the extent of making a cover and making it my own. It is not selling out when a working musician does a song that holds a meaningful memory and performs it with their passion and vigor.
What are you talking about? The boys from Staind were the ones doing most of the talking when they kept screwing up. Howard and Artie only commented when they did and once they got rolling no one talked.
I love the morons that like to throw out the "sell out" term. Guess what? If my company wants to pay me MORE to do my job i'd sure as hell take it. Does that make me a sell out? Uh, hell no!

Not to piss Staind fans off, but these guys are hacks. To each there own. My opinion should be valid as well > Staind is a corporate sell-out band that caters to audience of sappy child-minded individuals.
Your Ignorant, you dont know either of these guys, there accually very honest and beautiful people, i dont think any other bands nowadays will do half the stuff staind has done for their fans.
How is there validity in characterizing an audience as child-minded? Based on lyrical content? Simplistic notes and/or rhythms? How can one validate a point that limits the thought process of the audience to that of immaturity or ignorance? Maybe if they repeated the same line over, hitting the notes in the studio, but struggling all too often live like, who's that genius...umm..of course, the most over-rated horse whisperer herself: Imogen Heap. Singing to joy-filled Mensa members. Genius.
I heard this the day they did it as well and was amazed!!! What can you say for someone who has this much talent. Someone please convert this over to MP3 so I can freakin get this on my player..I would love to hear this all the time
this song is fucking incredible. that guitar riff with aarons voice were made for each other. amazing. i wish howard would put out a cd with all the amazing acoustic performances in his studio over the years.
Simply amazing! One of the best acoustic voices i've ever heard. I dont know how Robin couldve been stuffin her fat fuckin face during this performace! Howard rules!
Beautiful cover, especially given the circumstances and subject they were on. It really gave me the chills. Special Stern moment, imo. I hope Staind doesn't stay broken up for long...
hell yes...it still gave me chills yesterday when Fred played it a bit but they also played the whole song today and always gave me chills...truely amazing and awesome performance!
Aaron said -the day this cover was recorded- that he wanted to explore new musical ideas and work with non-Staind musicians to create a sound unlike the "Staind sound". I hastily used the phrase "broken up" that day. Successful solo ventures can take years. That's what I meant by "I hope the don't stay broken up for long." And, If Aaron did not leave Staind to make his quote "completely different" style of music, then he wasn't being very "honest" with the audience, much less to his own band!
I was thinking the same thing when they were answering Howard's political ?'s. It is so refreshing to hear someone in the music industry who thinks for themselves.
They are Ron Paul guys. "Allusion of Change" says it all. They need to read more Austrian economics though. They didnt have an obvious answer for Robins question as to why people losing jobs in certain sectors is a good thing.
i honestly think this is the most beautiful music ever. i had never heard the original and kept hoping they would just get on with turn the page and quit wasting time. i am so glad they didn't.
Convert this to MP3!! Just google how-to. Easy, and the more people who hear this will be new and/or bigger fans of the group. File sharing covers is not the same as stealing an album online. These covers are advertisement and only help the band when shared.
full song starts at 2:13

showing you can go into different genre of music and playing it with passion is what a true musician is....for those who can't don't amount to much..

I don't understand why they bother to have performers on there to perform if they are going to talk through the whole thing.
Funny is funny, but rest that sh*t once in a while and let the music play folks.
