I got owned in the derby. We had a fuel leak from the fuel filter that was making the car run like crap that we found right before my heat. I was late coming out, and in my frustration I put a track-shot on a suicide lincoln. He was more than happy to return the favor. That coupled with the fact that we were a one car team pretty much meant that we came away from the show with nothing but a bent up car.

We definitely could have used another couple of weeks to get ready for the show. Lot's of little stuff would have tied the car together a lot better.

The motor is a 400. I think a 350 would have taken the heat a little better but it didn't matter as the steering was gone anyways.

The car was just sold and is going to be rebuilt for a full weld show.

I have no regrets about building this car. It was a family project and I wouldn't trade the time spent with them for anything.
