there are just 2 many major differences to them. For instance in GoW it may be a hard first player. but in Halo you can easily make the difficulty hard enough that it's almost impossible to complete.
Halo has a much better multi-player than GoW and that brought in 150 million dollars to Halo 3 in their first 24 hours. Halo and GoW are not easily compared since they are both great. instead of deciding which is better lets just agree that xbox 360 owns all and Ps3 can go suck the Wii's balls.
gears of war all the way, halo requires NO SKILL whatsoever. my 5 year old cusian picked it up one day and just started head-shoting people in a week.. even on easy, if u poke your head out at the wrong time you will get lit up, also, brutes have nothing on theron guards, NO creature in halo has anyting on teh bruumak, grunts have nothing on wretchs brutes AND elets have NOTHING on a berserkerand MC is just a scaerd noob who has to have high tech armour and still dies easy!
in gears of war, none of the guys are stupid. also, it takes 3 reloads in insane (if ur lucky) to kill one drone (basic enemy) and they usually come in groups of 8-15. An u say the BRUTES kill u in 2 shots. in GOW, Even drones kill you in two shots. also, in GOW there are to many enemies to even aim ur weapon. U gotta blind fire cause if u pop ur head out of cover for even a second, u dead, man.
Halo can easily be harder tha gow put iron, mythic and thunderstorm on and then put it on legendary. easily the hardest fps game. thunderstorm and mythic make enemies very strong so it takes a ton of hits to kill them and iron makes it so every time you die you start at the beginning of the level again. You say drones are strong you cant even kill brutes with bullets if you have these skulls on. Unless you have a rocket launcher. Even then it takes about 3 shots to kill one brute.
Thats the thing. in Gears of war, you dont have rocket launchers or something like that. you get guns. guns that shoot bullets. not rockets. bullets. plus MC has it easy. He has a suit full of armor and "shields" but all gow has is armor that has the hardness of a marshmallow. plus, i think we should just shut up about who is better because they just cant be compared. Halo is fps and gow is tps (although there is a tps cheat in halo)and too different. lets say its a tie. (or undicided.)

halo needs no skill. You say play legendary mode in halo. Play insane mode on gears of war. The regular enemies kills you in two shots(bullets). in the second that it takes you to get to cover. im not exagerating unlike you. in gears, you opponents are smart. they're not a couple of dumb asses who wait around to be killed. They take cover, they flank you, they make you get out of cover to shoot one guy when all of a sudden, a shotgun shoots you in the back be cause he(continues in next comment)
First of All... I Finished GoW on Insane Easily (directed at Brumakkilla and Except for a few Levels that I just dont wanna do because I Dont Like Them (I Just Dont I hated those parts even on Casual)) and on Halo I Almost Finished the Game on Legendary (I think 2 more levels) in a few months but I Needed Co-op for some the levels (including gears of War) Anyways they are both To Different. Gears of War:2nd Best and is Also Gory(cool) and Claustrophobic.Halo:1st best and is more Sci-Fi than GoW.
had his freind shoot you to distract you. so he ends up flanking you and killing you which is incredible in that way because in gears there is limited space and a gray uglyass thing will obviously get noticed if there is only a couple of feet around you. also, you only get 600 bullets in your assault rifle and its for midrange combat. Everytime you reload, it reloads 60 bullets. you get 11 reloads untill you must find another ammo box or kill an enemy with that rifle (very rare in the mf'n game
On halo the brutes can kill you in two shots also. Then the snipers who can be hard to find sometimes. They can kill you in one shot anywere. They also must have good reflexes with their fingers because they shoot fast. Ill be aimimg to kill them and then im dead. Also the enemies are not stupid. Brutes order commands to grunts before taking cover. If you get close to taking down a brutes armor then they will throw dowmn a regenerator and then taunt you. The only stupid ones are the grunts.
Try tasavo highway. Theres a part were you have like no cover except one building. Which wont protect you. Because the back is wide open . So they can then go through there easily. So that means that you have to take down four ships full of brutes with no cover but one buitding that they can easilty shoot through. But what really makes it hard is the lack of checpoints. There will be about three checkpoints in every level.
Alright, for years people have asked MARIO or SONIC. Nintendo makes SSB, and eventually puts Sonic. I think it's time for Microsoft to make a Xbox version. MASTER CHIEF, MARCUS FENIX, TUROK, COMMANDER SHEPARD, all battling it out. So stop fighting about who's better and ask Microsoft to make a game where we can find out.
I'm all for Gears (i'm semi-pro so i'm biased) but the reason I like it is that anyone can be at least decent at halo. I didn't play it for 6 months, then stuck the disk in one day because I was bored. First place in 6 back to back lone wolf games. Its fun, but honestly, the skill level required is drastically lowered, and random who came on gears would get scrubbed instantly. and Nightwish = Awesome.
Halo doesnt have better gfx than Gears.... Halo just has a larget community to go in and play and its any noobs game thats what makes it popular gears is more tatical like one guy can never take out a whole team if that team is working together. I my opinion there both awsome games.

You say drones are strong you cant even kill brutes with bullets if you have these skulls on. Unless you have a rocket launcher. Even then it takes about 3 shots to kill one brute.

Thats the thing. in Gears of war, you dont have rocket launchers or something like that. you get guns. guns that shoot bullets. not rockets. bullets. plus MC has it easy. He has a suit full of armor and "shields" but all gow has is armor that has the hardness of a marshmallow. plus, i think we should just shut up about who is better because they just cant be compared. Halo is fps and gow is tps (although there is a tps cheat in halo)and too different. lets say its a tie. (or undicided.)

i'm a major on halo in like 5 days it takes NO skill at all the sniper doesn't even move when your stand still or shoot it wtf is that? i bet a blind kid with down syndrome could pick up halo and master it within a week, over all there both great though.

both fucking awesome games! in halo i loved the weapons and combat and in gears the graphics and combat were... a whole new level! but both games had some stupidity... in gears moving around was a pain in the ass and it too me a week to learn all the complicated controls. in halo the campaign sucks unless u play it on legendary. but still, these r the best games i have!

halo needs no skill. You say play legendary mode in halo. Play insane mode on gears of war. The regular enemies kills you in two shots(bullets). in the second that it takes you to get to cover. im not exagerating unlike you. in gears, you opponents are smart. they're not a couple of dumb asses who wait around to be killed. They take cover, they flank you, they make you get out of cover to shoot one guy when all of a sudden, a shotgun shoots you in the back be cause he(continues in next comment)

First of All... I Finished GoW on Insane Easily (directed at Brumakkilla and Except for a few Levels that I just dont wanna do because I Dont Like Them (I Just Dont I hated those parts even on Casual)) and on Halo I Almost Finished the Game on Legendary (I think 2 more levels) in a few months but I Needed Co-op for some the levels (including gears of War) Anyways they are both To Different. Gears of War:2nd Best and is Also Gory(cool) and Claustrophobic.Halo:1st best and is more Sci-Fi than GoW.

had his freind shoot you to distract you. so he ends up flanking you and killing you which is incredible in that way because in gears there is limited space and a gray uglyass thing will obviously get noticed if there is only a couple of feet around you. also, you only get 600 bullets in your assault rifle and its for midrange combat. Everytime you reload, it reloads 60 bullets. you get 11 reloads untill you must find another ammo box or kill an enemy with that rifle (very rare in the mf'n game

On halo the brutes can kill you in two shots also. Then the snipers who can be hard to find sometimes. They can kill you in one shot anywere. They also must have good reflexes with their fingers because they shoot fast. Ill be aimimg to kill them and then im dead. Also the enemies are not stupid. Brutes order commands to grunts before taking cover. If you get close to taking down a brutes armor then they will throw dowmn a regenerator and then taunt you. The only stupid ones are the grunts.

Try tasavo highway. Theres a part were you have like no cover except one building. Which wont protect you. Because the back is wide open . So they can then go through there easily. So that means that you have to take down four ships full of brutes with no cover but one buitding that they can easilty shoot through. But what really makes it hard is the lack of checpoints. There will be about three checkpoints in every level.

I'm all for Gears (i'm semi-pro so i'm biased) but the reason I like it is that anyone can be at least decent at halo. I didn't play it for 6 months, then stuck the disk in one day because I was bored. First place in 6 back to back lone wolf games. Its fun, but honestly, the skill level required is drastically lowered, and random who came on gears would get scrubbed instantly. and Nightwish = Awesome.

if the Graphics looked as good as in the Trailer then Halo 3 could of been a better game. Gears Of War as u can see, has the same Graphics as the Trailer and it's a Hell better than Halo 3. Halo 3 looks more like a little kids game. The only GREAT thing about Halo 3 is that u can record ur matches and then send it to ur friends or just save them. but thats about it.
