@foufoufun0 So on the aspect of a practice mode, their is (that's how I learn to play the chords and notes). If u go to Training, then Learn A Song, choose ur song and difficulty, and it will have a section for u to learn from the song (riff, solo, etc., with an option of chord help and speed adjust). Practice mode u can choose a section of the song to practice, then u don't have to wait, and u really don't have to wait to long for a part to restart (idk i learn fast, it could be learnin curves

@BoySamusMetroid In your case I would agree with getting Rocksmith. U have a lot of guitars, no point in getting another for $300 (I heard they were going to add bass support). Setlist is nice, mostly based on the beginning of Alternative Rock (Nirvana, Rolling Stones, Radiohead, etc.). I pretty much got Rock Band cause I knew that their setlists are great, and to get the Keyboard. Rocksmith can't have a full band though,but yea Rocksmith is still a great game.

@pureinstrength I don't think so. It only plays for pro mode. I suggest going for the Squier because u'll feel the frets and strings instead of buttons (ull also develop calluses). There is a lot of methods to learn: lessons for each song, speed adjustments so u can go at ur own pace, practice certain sections, difficulty adjustments. If ur going to waste money on Fender u might as well get the real guitar.

Guitar Hero guitars r cheap, u can get on for normal mode (or get the RB3 one costs more

I myself bought a midi cable after buying that guitar so I can practice on my own on a computer. The only thing missing in this game (and the most important one) is a free play mode. How do you want me to practice the chords if the song keeps going? and I have to wait for the practice part to get back to the beginning to retry.

@BoySamusMetroid I was pissed at first when Rocksmith was announced i was like "I got like 2 guitars it would of been cheaper." But from what i heard is that it is great for beginners but not for those that have experience already. The setlist goes for alternative rock, while RB3 has tougher songs. Also we can play Bass tracks.

RB3 Easy tablature, Rocksmith a little confusing. It depends their both great, want to save cash then Rocksmith, serious about learning guitar RB3. That's my opinion.

This is cool. Although it isn't the real guitar that was still good. I see a lot of questions about learning to play real guitar, and I think I've got a good answer for that. I got the Squier Stratocaster (real guitar for Rock Band 3) when it first came out and I've been playing for a while. It's not really about learning how to play a real guitar, it's more about patience, determination, and liking most of the song on Rock Band 3 (or buy DLC). If u do this, then yes u can be a great guitarist.

The people that chart these songs for these games have access to the original master tracks to the song which means they can seperate out all of the parts to hear what is really going on.
