The following is a simple, non-poetic, non-verbatim, translation of the words and the meaning. Basically this is an account of a young introversive woman's attempt to escape one reality and confronting another one, not necessarily better. The Hebrew words are semi-slang, and loaded with inherent cultural subtexts which cannot be translated perfectly.

The final line is difficult to translate with the full effect. It conjures a complex and sombre image of a conductor who rules high over the orchestra... someone who manipulates another person.

The lyrics, music, arrangement and the haunting singing, with the video work superbly well together, and the whole package, delivers a powerful emotional punch even if you don't understand Hebrew... I think this is one fine creative, timeless creation. And to boot, of course, Sivan is truly hot.
