Ryo's games confirm that the 02 Ryo and the Tamers Ryo are the same guy, he hopped dimensions.

Fun Facts: There IS a VERY DEEP backstory to Ryo & Cyberdramon that CAN BE SEEN as canon to the Anime, due to his appearance in ZeroTwo. Ryo used to be the Tamer of Davis's Veemon, and met w/ young Ken & traveled w/ him in the Digital World, ending up killing Millenniummon, like we saw. After that, at one point Veemon got sealed under the Digimental of Courage, and later ended up as Davis's partner.

After that, he ends up w/ Monodramon as his partner, and Millenniummon comes back again as MoonMillenniummon. Ryo & Monodramon fight him, and at one point, Monodramon finds no choice but to DNA Digivolve w/ MoonMillenniumon & fuse w/ him in order to stop him. When he does this, he ends up as Cyberdramon, but now has a raging, uncontrolled spirit. This explains why now in Tamers, he's so wild and rabid.

Ryo is a TRUE LEGEND.
