I didn't care for Retrace. Having to choose between playing lands and holding on to them to play retrace spells is tiresome.

depends. you can like play wildfire and you have to sacrifice 4 lands.. why would you want to discard land anyway.

nope you cant do that...

Discard means put a card from your hand in the graveyard, if u have it in already in play an put it in the graveyard that would be a sacrifice not a discard.

No. That's called sacrificing.

Yes it makes crucible of worlds more useful, but i prefer grounds keeper. 1 mana 1 green mana return a basic land card from your graveyard to ur hand

Why would you ever counter a discard card that only forces one discard... just discard the counter and save mana...

No, because you need to discard a land from your hand. I don't think that will work.

Sure it will work. Disland from hand to retrace the spell, then play from the graveyard. Discarding is not an issue.Crucible should go up in value if they have some nice retrace spells in standard.

I really don't like the music, still these videos are kinda helpful with stuff that can end up being asked at prereleases because i remember two major questions asked during Morningtide prerelease were whether bannerets reduce evoke or prowl costs and whether reinforce could be done at instant speed

I'm sure it'd help newer players (such as those these videos are designed for). When you just start playing magic just understanding all the different card types can seem like quite a task. So i think these videos that help encourage new players understand the expansion mechanics are great. Also for people who already know how to play it can clarify specifics of certain abilities that could be misconstrued by anyone. It's good to see wizards of the coast using their funding to help players.
