  • I AM Rod Hull! I AM HIM!!!!!

I used to think this was hillarious when I was a kid - It is quite amusing, actually.....Open Emuversity, "out here, in the open" LOL

  • Thanks for uploading this. It was the funniest show I had ever seen growing up as a kid. Me and my brother and cousin were splitting our sides watching this. When you are five/six years old, a boxing glove coming out on a spring biffing the presenter is hilarious. Rod Hull was a kid's entertainment genius and this really showcased his comedy talents that extended well beyond Emu. I am 41 years old and it is still funny. I wish they would release these on DVD.

  • The show ran from 1975, to 1980, for 5 years.

  • Starring the bird of which Michael Parkinson asked on behalf of many people "Why's it so aggressive?" and a favourite of the Queen Mother, Billy Dainty. I have to admit it has the Open University theme going the way I always expected it to, namely slowing down and stopping.

  • We ended up with dried sick on our Emu puppet.

  • @willpurry

    LOL. So did I!!!!

  • God! I remember this so well! My mum even bought me an Emu puppet for Xmas!

  • this program used to scare the crap out of me with those scary faces tom, dick & harry!

  • Brings back memories billy dainty was brilliant

  • we were on the christmas special for 2 years about 1976
