My Uncle just died 2 days ago and this song is so encouraging and amazing. I hear the (my chains are gone) and it makes me feel like i ought to be praising God for what he has done. My Uncle was an amazing and loving person. He loved the lord with all his heart! I'm glad to know he's at peace now.

Amazing Grace is a rough song for me to listen to in any form. A few years ago I had to attend a funeral of a fallen officer and a good man. To this day I believe god's grace is what gave me the strength to step up to the alter and salute my fallen brother one last time. If it wasnt for god I would have buckled under with grief, and would not have been able to say goodbye to my friend. This song reminds me of that day, may I never have another like it.

@basicaa I used to tell people this song is beautiful but I couldn't sing when it came to calling myself a wretch, because a wretch is so aweful, but in time I came to realize that it's the wretch that God pulls closest to, and I finally sing it loud and clear. @newzgerly I understand. I try to see myself not as the world sees me, but as God sees me. It's pretty apalling to look my the selfish, selfseeking, self centered thoughts and deeds. Just like there was a theory the world was flat. Smart people also learn by observing. I have observed God perform more than one miracle, and haven't seen a sudden bang result in a life form. Anyway, I think God created a kind of evolution so we and the animals could adjust to changes in our environment.

When I was ready I set out to find him. To establish a relationship with him that was based on what I knew of him not what others thought I should know of him.

My daughter no longer attends church because we moved and she did not feel a connection to the people here. She has a relationship with God, and in the end that is what its all about the relationship between you and God.
I did not find her to be open to anything or willing to accept help. She fought me on everything from taking her medicine to going to the doctor.

Yesterday i was watching a lot of tribute videos of people who committed suicide due to bullying, how much pain it cost them and listening to all these worship songs remind me of them and how great our god is and makes me cry

When I was ready I set out to find him. To establish a relationship with him that was based on what I knew of him not what others thought I should know of him.
I believe because that journey was difficult and I learned what unconditional love can do for a person.

i was at church camp over the summer of 2011 and a thunderstorm came and nocked the power out and then out of no where no one knows how this song started playing and we all came together and sang along. It was a merical to me i know what my god is able to do and i know what he will do for me but i have to be willing to change and be a light to the ones around me so they can see what the out come over letting god in your life can do

Jesus didn't choose the people he wants to save. :-) He died for us all.
Repentance is a matter of choice, God is just waiting for you. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life.".We're all bound to death because of our sins but God gave Jesus so that we can live the life we're living now. Jesus is the greatest gift that God gave us. God gave us what we needed most. A savior who will reconcile us back to Him. So we need to accept Jesus in our life. ;-)

@magicicyjourney I will turn down religions when kids gets brainwashed from their birth by religious people. They don't get the right to choose because they are already brainwashed when they reach the certain age for it.
Telling me that you are 12 and super religious makes it all worse, you been teached this from when u were a kid like i said and you have no idea what you are talking about. Neither have you done any research about it.

@mattconn23 I don't believe stuff that is written in a book about Jesus, while the people that wrote the book NEVER even met Jesus.
There is no proof what so ever that God does excist, so im going to go by facts. You have no proofs at all that he DOES excist... thanks.

Search on google if you want to know that since its REALLY easy to find and research says that they never met Jesus since he was already dead when the new testament was written.
