Yes, he's a descendant of Desmond, it's based in the 1400's two hundred odd years after the first Assassin's Creed, in Italy, you also get to see Leonardo da Vinci and you get to use his flying machine.

i was bored on the second mission. its the same shit over and over and over again. the fight scenes the landscape the missions all the same. yes the graphics were outstanding but the gameplay got very old very quick. and the whole idea of a suspect character running from 6 enforcers in a crowd of a hundred people then diving into a pile of straw and no one sees a thing for fuck sake thats pathetic . sorry mate but the game sucked big time

Oh much more then that. You can hang of ledges and pull guards to their doom too. They have really taken in all the complaints people had with the original, and fixed them.

Yes there is a glider, based off one of Leonardo da Vinci's actual drawings, the new assassin and him are close friends in this game. Also the new assassin has 2 hidden blade, which this time around u can use as much more of a primary weapon.

As for the mace & spear, there are a bunch of new weapons in the game that can be used, but not so much primarily, as u can use them after disarming ur opponent.

And you can swim. lol

Uuuurrrrgh, the point is that Ezio and Altair are related. Look I can only guess that the link has something to do with the Templars going back to Europe after the crusades. Enter Italy, the Templars were Catholic. Hence papal seat of power. The Templars went underground around 1317 when the pope officially disbanded them. It would figure at leat according to the game that the Hashshashin would keep agents in Europe to keep tabs on the templars.
