Super Mario 64 DS FREEZES!!! HELP!!!

put a magnet by your game and then try if it says error loading game try 2-3 more times and it should go pass if not then try chucking it at a wall :-P

There could be a couple of reasons.

1: Something is wrong with the game... for example. My game had someone writing on the saved stuff.

2:The console could be having technical problems.

or

3:Your doing something wrong... idk what but it could be 1 or 2

I did the exact same thing but it didn't freeze I died and i still had 4 lives died 3 more times and i still had 4 LIVES

make sure your ds is not damaged.

Two things I have observed.

#1 - You didn't restore your health meter.

#2 - You entered the Goomboss Battle unarmed.

To correct this:

#1 - Use the spinning heart if your health meter is low.

#2 - Swallow a Goomba, turn it into an egg, then enter the Goomboss Battle.

I hope you are not cheating because honestly, that problem should never happen.

Since that was such an early part of the game (only 8 Power stars required), I would recommend erasing the game, removing the game pak, inserting it back into the DS and trying again.

If the problem persists, return it as defective for a brand new cartridge. If the new cartridge has the same failure, return the DS for a new unit.

It is possible that you may have had a defective unit.

This happens with other tech products too.
