  • I have a JRT and wish she had some hunt in her, she is an excellent pet though

  • good dogs man

  • hunter gatherers

  • lmao I felt sorry for the hog. cute dogs btw! how old are they now?

  • great song for it

  • The biggest thing my JRT has had was a rat wen we took him 2 the stables. I'd love to see him on bigger pests like this though see wat he can do.

  • Like other squirrels, whistle pigs are smart and fierce chewers. They're hard to keep under control.

They look like good dogs. Congratulations on clearing out another varmint from your property.

  • Jack Russell, Russell, or Parson Russell Terriers were not bred to kill. They were bred/trained to run the quarry to grown and hold til hunters arrived. I hunt w/ my Russell Terriers almost daily, if I see them going after coyetes, raccoons, skunks, etc I call them back and they obey. A well trained terrier would never kill unless for survival. If your dog won't back down when commanded to do so, you are not the alpha of your pack. You are letting your pack down and could get them hurt!

  • @dgwPTSD Let me see if I got this right: if a terrier catches a RAT it will "hold it' until you get there--and not kill it. Are you joking? And while I'm on the subject, I, for one, have no problem with the cold fact that a terrier, by nature--not by training, is SUPPOSED to kill, so don't misunderstand my point. Nothing wrong with a "rat terrier" killing a rat, but don't jive us with this "they have to be trained" crap

  • @jimquantic Dogs can be trained to hold an animal( at bay )until the owner, or hunter arrives to humanely dispatch it.

  • @dgwPTSD I agree with this. Thank you for properly training your dogs. Some well trained terriers will also quickly dispatch the animal. They look to the owner for whistles and signals while doing so. To everyone else, just because you have a terrier does not mean you should let it kill You HAVE to train your dog, or you end up with a killing machine that will not only kill wildlife, but is also capable of killing other pets. Then that will get you, and your dog in trouble.

  • I think that they thought it would work as a good rope and started playing tug-of-war with it =D

  • good teamwork for them little fellers. I love jrts

  • have control of your dogs then !!!!!!!!!

  • That's like two bears coming in your yard and ripping you to pieces.

  • you dont have to explan! this is what a jack does, i have one! and would'nt own anything else, these dog were bread to kill vermin! dont blame the dog for doing his job! im sure the dog is very proud of himself. its hard to train a jack on what is a good vermin and a bad one, every breed has a purpose and this is theres. and they make an AWESOME pet!

  • JRTs and bull terriers, my favorite dogs.

  • pouri hdjyku

  • pouri

  • omg! great musical choice!!

  • great video..... These dogs are great hunters and have lots on courage to go against a wild hog.... brave little dogs...

  • JRT are bred to be hunter.

Are you bred to be murderer? Is you dad and your mom give a birth to you to be shit?

    Nah.. I don't think so.

  • u told that bastard didnt you hahah

  • ou lovely

  • They do enjoy their work! What a great team. Ground hogs are a big problem here in Virginia also. Cheers.....

  • Cool video, but seriously, who finds this graphic? There wasn't even any blood! I've seen more graphic stuff than this on America's Funniest Videos! :D

  • i would love to get 5 to 8 terriers and train them hunt i had a large dog pointer German Shepard mix and he would all ways find me a nice fat hog and ground hog he passed away last year but i got a springer and that dog is a freking pussy hes not even a good guard dog so i let my grandma have him so i know what breed i want next

  • Get a german dachshund, they ve better nose then terriers so you can track with em. And when faced with a Hog or fox you can count on that varmit being exicuted. be carful though don't get some 7 pound dachsund fom a pet shop with no prey drive

  • @goldenacers Hey jackass, maybe he likes his terriers so he doesn't need you telling him what to get. On second thought, you are the world's expert on hunting so we should all listen to you.

  • good to see the russells in action , lovely strong dogs , y do people watch these videos if they dnt like it , baffels me , this is what there bread for not to sit in stuck up rich girl handbag

  • Too right

  • doing what Terriers do...not quitting!

  • I think it's fucking epic to se a dog like a JRT in his element

  • the only people who complain about about dogs, hunting, and general countryside stuff are the folk that sit on their fat arses in offices and only see the country side from armchairs well you can all piss off, a terrier will always kill stuff and the tories will get the hunting ban lifted i cant wait !!!!! terries rock hunting rules and digging is a way of life. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Im a Royal Marine Commando mate and i absolutely LOVE hunting. Took down some seriously ig elk over in Norway on my last trip and some big moose in Canada a couple of years back . Real hunting not like the shit we get here in the UK. Fox hunting ban wont be overturned mate too many tree huggers...your very wrong there the Shit Tory arty headed by a moron David Cameron wont do anything about it. The mans a twat. This country needs a new party with a new leader. Cameron will fail he has no policies

  • Also diggins isnt a WAY OF LIFe..its just SOMETHING YOU DO. A way of life is serving your country on the frontline. Props about Terriers though these dogs absolutely thrive on hunting stuff down. I have 2 Jack Russells a Patterdale and 2 awesome American Bulldogs. Cant beat taking the Jackies and patterdale out after Rabbit. I know some use ferrets to flush rabbit but i prefer to work my terriers and let them have the kill. Cheap meat for me and a good day out for the dogs.

  • Not true....not everyone in the countryside agrees with hunting. It made me laugh when the local farmers got on the bus for the 'protests' in London and spent the day sight-seeing and shopping! Free bus trip for a day out in London...they loved it...lol (They didn't like the rest of their company on the bus though!)

  • people are such fools on youtube ,,,on every video people are arguing.. this is nature and its already happened sooooo , things in life r brutal .. and like the other guy funnily said, what did u exspect to see sesemy street hah

  • i fucking love terriers... and 4 them tree hugging fucks, wen we wer cavemen/women (women for equality reasons) we speared and clubbed shit out of animals (and eachother) jus for a snack so why insult another animal for "It's" instincts... the end of the day its natural balance... you try ur dog on sum salad n c how it reacts???

  • Russells have the instinct to hunt bred into them. Groundhogs are just one of the many prey including red fox, grey fox, possum, raccoon, and badger. Hating these dogs for doing what they are bred to do is like saying a border collie is horrible for instinctually running around a flock of sheep to herd them. These terriers were bred for controlling vermin, and I bet these two dogs were the proudest at the end of the day. Plus these guys are strong, Im sure the groundhog died VERY fast.

  • a raccoon in stanley park ,Vancouver b.c.

attack my friends JRT puppy and a

bouvier de Flanders <<i think thats what he called it <<

came out of nowhere and ate the raccoon

  • SAVE THE ANIMALS!! DEATH TO HUMANS!!! nice hypocrisy there jackass. next time you have an issue with an animal killing another animal, why don't you put the animal in time out then kindly offer them a salad instead...see how far that will get you. nature is unkind...its the circle of life...sometimes things die peacefully and sometimes things die brutally. the video is even prefaced with a warning. did you think you were gonna see an episode of seasame street?

  • guinea pig?? lol

  • A baby hog?

  • That was one of the funniest videos I've ever seen. Even if the guy tried to stop it, the hog would have been f'ed up anyway. so why not let them do what they do. Exellent video.

  • lol i had a few of these digging holes in front of my barn and we kept stepping in them and falling so my brother took a couple of leftover smoke bombs and covered up all the holes but one and threw one in there it didnt get them out but when we put the hose in out popped a green groundhog

  • good dog lol

  • It wasn't a joy killing...it was what most Terriers will do instinctively. The hog was on my property, and was responsible for chewing a rear brakeline and rubber mudflap on my truck. It also chewed its way into a garden shed, and bit our friends Havanese pup. I guess you could look at it as protection of property which in my eyes is fine. I don't encourage them to hunt everything that moves but in this case I wasn't saddened by what happened to this particular hog.

  • I do beg your pardon, and thank you for being a gentleman, it really was none of my business. And I do agree that when animals come on your property, you need to do something. It is like my friends who have horses, and some of the animals create dangerous pot holes--they shoot em, end of story. Anyone ought to understand that.

  • Pretty rediculous that these idiots who know NOTHING about Terriers and what they are meant to do, sit here and call you a retard and hope you die. LOL.

Whenever I get my Rat Terrier (ugh, have to wait like 2 more years; this waiting is hell!) I'm going to do some rodent hunting with it (including groundhog) and record it. So let's see what people have to say about my "vicious" dog and my stupidness. Haha.

Show, work, and preserve TRUE Terriers!

  • @jimquantic s

  • @jimquantic You have no clue as to the time of day if you think groundhogs do less damage than rats. I have one undermining my front porch right now, and wish I had those two dogs to get it out. So far I've tried burning the oxygen out of his hole and habanero peppers, but he's still there. Should I wait until the concrete floor of my porch heaves and it costs several thousand dollars?

    Good dogs!

  • @jimquantic Groundhogs are considered a pest in all jurisdictions of which I am aware.

  • @jimquantic I agree with you in every sense of the word. This in every sense is "joy killing" watching two dogs go at something because it offers some sense of entertainment.

  • @jimquantic i shot about 5 ground hogs my self i used to just wathc my dad kill em now theirs only one left im sure their will be more by srping they live under my shded and annoy the shit out of me

  • @jimquantic You realize that the groundhogs make holes in fields, then horses and cows end up breaking ankles and what not?

  • @jimquantic GOOD DOGS . And stop acting like a wuss

  • I have a JRT who loves to chase aftet the rabbits, birds, and other animals that come into our little cole de sac (sp?). There was one time when a little bird (about canary size) was flying about, 2 feet above the ground and my JRT jumped up and caught it! He just hurt it's wing a little. But it could still fly a little. So, I threw a towel over it and moved it to where my JRT couldn't get it. It was just in shock. We just love watching him chase random animals!

  • was that hog a midget or were your JRTs ungodly huge?

  • It was a young hog. Although my Russells are fairly large for their breed. The male is 20lbs and the female 16lbs but it's not fat. I feel better about their size because it's helped them come out on top while in combat with coons and larger hogs. They're an amazing little duo!

  • aw I miss it so much!!! I used to work my JRTs (Garons Sailor and Fox Run Risk cross (redwood rumble) I worked them with Jeff McKee and the Kauffmanns and Ann Wendland. My boy got 2 hogs, a raccoon and a possum his first weekend out. Could have gotten a bronze but not a certified judge damnit. Keep up the good work!

  • Get that hog!!! Love hunting with our JRTS!!!

  • Very good. And thats what jack russells do, so..yeh great.

  • good dogs! check my russell out mate.. same as yours loves to kill things

  • YEEEEE HAAAAA!!!!!
