yeah no need to shoot to kill to disable someone with a hand-to-hand weapon. bullet in the arm, hand/legs, is enough to stop anyone. Cops like that are the ones that were losers all their life, then got a badge and gun so they can feel like a hero, but the situations dont present themselves to be one, so they go out of their way to make anything a situation even bashoing a woman when she hardly uses any force, then lie about it in the police report and say they felt their life was threatened.

@Rbattam I can tell you've never shot a gun, let alone be in a stressful situation with a gun. When you are doped up on either A) drugs(like the guy shot in the video.) or B) adrenaline, doubled with shock from the wound, you wont feel it. I've been shot in the leg from a tour in Afghanistan and I didn't feel it until I looked down at the wound. And officers are trained to for center-mass in a life or death situation. He shot at center-mass, probably a life or death situation.

If you look at the muzzle of the pistol (that's the business end of the thing) you see recoil from the 1st shot, then a flash from the second, then you see the knife go flying. Im guessing that the knife came out, cop shot and the man flailed and it got tossed but not at the officer.

To subdue suspects from a distance holding blunt objects. So Johannes Mehserles thought a gun was a taser, and this guy just goes right for his gun. There's a pattern of behavior here with BART. I wouldnt judge either way based upon the video evidence.
Suffice to say. Knife seems to come from a different direction than the officer is interested in, possibly knife was thrown away, and not at officer. No evidence that suspect threw anything "at" officer as he doesnt budge, most would duck or move.
No audio drunk people talk it up with threats, who knows what the suspect was saying he had on his person, or acting up, pretending to pull fire arm.
Not enough evidence.
