It may be the angle of the camera, but the shot looks like it's being done from a very short range, rather than an ideal range... it looks as though you're just about hitting the target with your basket hilt. I imagined the ideal zone to hit a person would be with the last third of the sword.

@Mistwraith99 thats what we learned. try to hit about four inches from the end of the sword

@Mistwraith99 It depends on what range you want to engage your target at. Sometimes Short range is good.
