  • wow that class is full of clinical retards.

  • LMAO AT THE LAST COMMENT

  • We need volunteer undergrad bio-majors to go into the south and teach these people the basics. Seriously.

  • @SelectHawk scientific missionary work.

  • 2:45 "How can an African American person evolve from a white person?"

That guy really needs to learn about evolution. 100,000 years ago all humans were African.

  • I hope this is satire..

  • Girl in red top says "basically its not been proven (evolution), we had to be put here by some super natural thing, we cannot have evolved from such a simple organism to what we are now...I mean there is no way the way they think it all started"

That's right honey....and the 'thing' that put you here also cares about what you eat, how you have sex, whether you masterbate, on what days you work, whether you accept Jesus as your saviour...etc etc. Makes perfect sense doesn't it LOL

  • What I find so baffling is that these kids are demonstrating ignorance by asking these sorts of questions. For god's sake...they're in a classroom right? In an educational establishment? Why arent there any teachers tackling these and providing proper answers??????

  • so many fucking stupid people.

  • For the love of humanity...when the fuck are we going to rid ourselves of the GOD virus and embrace reality (as presented through science).

If we don't...then we are doomed. We are all doomed. Muslims v's Christians with NUKES. That's where we are headed.

  • @DIGITALSCREAMS So many logical fallacies.

  • @meximan9300

    "So many logical fallacies"

When are you going to realise that GOD only exists in your mind and in the minds of others who share your delusion? When are you going to realise that GOD doesnt answer prayers, does not create miracles and does not intervene? When are you going to realise that mankind has a history of 'creating' GOD's (over 10000 in the last 5000 years). When are you going to realise that Muslims and Christians are still at war? Isreal v's Iran etc etc.

  • @DIGITALSCREAMS Let's be honest here; there's no way I am going to argue you out of your views on youtube and vice versa (pardon my dogmatism. Some thoughts:

    - While it's true that mankind has created gods,The God of Christianity is the longest one and most referenced. To that, even Dawkins agree.

    - Why would people be willing to lay their lives to a delusion? Were it a delusion, all one would need to do is admit they (opposition) is right-- the Spanish Inquisition, as it were.

  • @meximan9300

Assuming you're a man of faith...I have a genuine question for you. Does is not trouble you that the GOD you believe in depended on your geographical location? You make the assumption that the GOD you believe is the right one....but I'd imagine you'd say the same thing if you grew up in Indonesia, Malaysia, Iran, Saudi etc. In your view...does that lend weight/support to Christianity? 2 billion Muslims outthere would say your under a great misapprehension.

  • @DIGITALSCREAMS I've gotta admit, that's a pretty rad question (I hope you don't take anything I say as sarcasm). I grew up in Mexico where everyone there believes more that the Virgin Mary is more a God then God. I became a man of faith not because I was raised that way, but because I searched through religions open-minded. To answer your question, I could see that having some effect, sure. It's just like the way we see democracy as the right thing; because we grew up exposed to it.

  • @DIGITALSCREAMS In the same way people in the East have a different view about religion, politics, life, so do we. Ultimately, no. It does not trouble me in the slightest. I have proof that has convinced me personally, and even if the God I worship is wrong or non-existent (I believe he's not), I've lived by a set of standards that'll give me a rad life on earth, even from a secular standpoint.

  • @code1719 how can a black and white person decsend from the same peolple(adam and eve)? that makes even less sense lol

  • why the hell is that guy teaching... he doesnt know the first thing about evolution, or science in general. they dont even know the basics of the scientific method. "its not proven". duh, nothing in science is ever proven. but the theory of evolution stopped being just a theory when we can observe it in a lab, then it became fact as well.

  • This hurts so much to watch and listen >.<

  • "We didn't like evolve from anything that don't make any sense. I mean, how can like an African American person evolve from a White person, we're different skEEn" LOL idiocracy at its finest

  • Maybe its just my state, but I've never taken a science course where the professor spoke about religion. All they do is deliver scientific discoveries, and methods underpinned with tentative explanations and scientific logic. I thought it was because they weren't allowed to talk about religion, but I learned its because creationism is grounded in theology - not science. But then you walk into a church - and there they are.. preying and teaching little kids how to sabotage science lectures.

  • @LoverofLiszt sorry couldnt find the original comment, but yeah, Ligers are capable of reproduction, I'm not so sure about Tigons though

  • I need to puke

  • "How can an African-American person evolve from a white person, we're different skin?"

That one statement underlines how corrosive religion is.

  • And this is why the South ranks at the bottom in just about every social category.

  • i hope these kids dont want to go to uni

  • Sure... we should teach both sides...

We should teach flat earth concepts in schools too!

    It's only fair right?

Teachers who don't encourage investigation and crosschecking their facts and analysis, shouldn't be teachers.

"God did it" is not crosschecking or investigation.

  • This video saddens me tremendously. The minds of these kids have been stuffed with garbage. They lack any understanding of what life on earth is about. I know there are large areas of the country where this kind of thinking is prevalent, how are we to advance in the face of such ignorance. It leaves me feeling disheartened. Such abuse of young minds.

  • Teacher : You dont even think its a theory?

Girl : No.. i mean basically its not been proven

...... seriously? did she ask for a proof on THEORY?!?

  • @CurseCreep In trying to ridicule her, you've only made a fool of yourself. A scientific theory is not the same as a mere theory (That would sooner be a hypothesis), and is in fact supported by large amounts of evidence. The theory of evolution has in fact more data to support it than many others, like even the theory of gravity.

  • @maraud1 No matter how much fact you have, a theory isn't proven until you have a serious VIEWABLE proof for it, which is impossible for the evoloution, as we cant prove a couple of billion years, however its the most logically correct and the oen i follow, as saying anything supernatural made everything is just denying facts and not asking questions, which is something ignorant people like these dont want to

  • @CurseCreep Wolf has changed to dog within recent history. Not only that, we have hundreds of breeds of dogs. All a product of artificial selection. We can completely change a species in a few hundred years. Why can't nature do it in millions?

  • It's like looking at a North Korean-occupied South Dakota.

  • I had to laugh at the kid right at the end -- clearly the science teacher has never got around to showing them how melanin works.

  • dude in the windbreaker looks to be 30.....yet speaks like hes 6.....theres so many things wrong with what hes saying that I dont even know where to begin

  • Comment removed

  • @bb152005 It's funny how evolution was wrong and then just macroevolution was wrong. The apologetics are hilarious.

  • @bb152005 thats not proof lol

  • four words out of Africa theory

  • when that one girl says "we couldn't have evolved from such a small thing" I'm thinking we did but apparently your brain dint make it the full trip

  • this is the problem with the world. right here.

  • Education starts at home not in the class room and its clear that these kids belief systems are a product of their parents beliefs. When one appreciates that ones religion is simply a consequence of what culture you are born into, the lie reveals itself. Had they been born in Iran, no doubt they would be devout muslims, India - Hindus, China- Buddhist etc etc. See that and you take the first step towards real enlightenment.

  • Wow, WORST SCIENCE TEACHER IN THE WORLD alert!

  • Why don't they teach the physics of Warner Bros cartoons too? Some people believe in it...

  • Teaching crationism /ID in science class is a crime against humanity.

  • I'd find that girl really hot if she wasn't really stupid.

  • This is one of the times i'm ashamed to call myself a southerner.

  • how can an african american evolve from a white person XD . he's so fuking misguided.

  • Comment removed

  • I don't think we should jump to conclusions and say that these kids are "retarded." All their lives they have been spoon fed this idea that evolution is a lie and that god is responsible for life, but it seems like they have never gotten an un biased explanation of evolution. That kid at the end was not racist he was asking a legitimate question about how does our skin evolve to be different colors. I think they want to learn more about they just don't feel comfortable admitting it.

  • @ShaGoygio: Don't be a whining bitch of an atheist. Believe what you believe, but din't insult me because of it. I personally believe in Creationist born evolution, but whatever. Shut the fuck up.

  • @Nijawizard Was that 'din't' done on purpose. If so that's hilarious, because that is the way I'd imagine you talk...like a character off South Park.

  • I don't believe a supernatual, all-powerful, omnipotent being needs a natural process to create."

Then why is there NATURE? Holy shit, did I walk into an episode of The Twilight Zone? How can people like this lack an immense amount of critical thinking skills? Honestly, how can people in one of the world's most prosperous, well-to-do nations be this ignorant?

    GAME OVER MAN! GAME OVER!

  • @LiveTheWild What this man was saying is that if god is all powerful, then why did he resort to using natural process/phenomena to bring the our universe into existence. Why not, say, poof them into existence, instead? What kind of question is "why is there nature"? It does not make sense, are you putting forward a purpose for its existence?

  • @hislord1 No, he said @ 1:54 "I don't personally believe that a supernatural, all powerful, ominpotent being has to use a natural process to create."

My response is why is there nature/natural processes at all? Why is there photosyntehesis, pregnancy, fertilization, fetal devolopment, etc? The man in this video makes no sense. If there is a god, then it is blatantly obvious it uses nature to create.

But yes, essentially I am asking why aren't new things "poofed" into existence.

    :D

  • @LiveTheWild cheers for the clarification mate, sorry for the misunderstanding.

  • @hislord1 No worries

    :D

  • I guess for some, the brain is a vistigial organ.

    :D

  • OMFG! how retarded are theese students? how can an african american evolve from a white person!!?? what the fuck is wrong with them?

  • I can't believe that they allow this in the classrooms...complete rubbish!

  • God doesn't exist you dumbshit!

  • Fuck creationism and creationists! Stupidest motherfuckers for centuries and going.

  • I equate teaching creationism in schools with verbal child abuse. This is as disgusting as teaching children that you must cast spells over your doors to offer protection from trolls.

  • Does anyone else find this to be incredibly painful to watch?

  • @kaytabbi, I do. It is incredibly painful to watch.

  • @kaytabbi more sad than anything.

  • My momma says 1+1 equals three. I also like to ride my pony, jiihaa! I also like squirrel stew.

How could a teacher tell to a student the answer is 2. I could not tell that because I want to respect the other persons opinion.

  • Dude! You are a science teacher, So teach the valid scientific theories in your science class. If you want to teach the cristian view in the bible class, fine with me.

  • have they fired him yet?

  • Derp much? There is no God, get over it.

  • "How could I say to this student 'Yer ideas are trash, keep em outta this room, I don't wanna hear em, we don't wanna discuss that? Don'tchu know you're bein one'a those hick hillbillies believin all that religious stuff?"

BECAUSE YOU ARE A SCIENCE TEACHER AND THAT IS NOT SCIENCE!!

  • So if I get kidney disease, Im not allowed to go to a hospital then?!?? Oh, so if my cat breaks her leg, I don't take her to the vet either???? Have fun being in pain then!! I guess surgery and medicine doesnt fix anything does it?!?

  • Comment removed

  • HAHAHA those kids need to evolve a brain!

  • @askmyname727 I clicked like

  • Surprised by this video? Well, welcome to the south. Where about 75% of the residents think this way, and the other 25% of us are doing our best to move somewhere else....

  • @paradoxb3 is there genuinly people like this there ? this is unbelievable. i think i have lost faith in humanity :/ .

  • @paradoxb3 25%? I think you are being too optimistic lol

  • @paradoxb3 The rest of the world welcomes you! No one should be forced to live amongst those ignorant cousin fuckers...

  • @paradoxb3 TO STUPIDITY, AAAAND BEYYYYOND

  • @laseren1999 you nailed it. if you boil down the creationists arguement in this video into one sentence, it would be "I do not understand, so it has to be supernatural." I've talked to many creationists, and theres one universal truth i've come to realize -- those who criticize evolution and scientific theory the most are also the ones who know the least about what they're criticizing. They cannot accurately define "theory" and intentionally over-simplify evolution in an effort to weaken it.

  • what did I just watch

  • Stupid rednecks

  • "We had to be put here by some supernatural being"

Thus why they believe, they lack the intelligence to process anything else.

  • This reminds me of The Office. The awkward English one too.

  • "How can i say to a student 'yer ideaz are traysh, keep um outta dis room?' "

You don't. You simply tell the student that that is not a subject for a science class, as god is not testable.

  • omg that was one of the funniest things i have ever seen. "how could an african american evolve from a white person." >.> troll face.

  • I'm I the only person who thinks that these creationists look like inbreeds?

  • at 2:41 that guy says how can an african american evolve from a white person. The first people were black. Nice one.

  • And the one at 2:41. I seriously need to vomit right now.

  • The little retard at 01:21 made me sick.

  • what a dick a wolf and a dog can mate and reproduce, its called a hybrid. Theres an episode on the dog whisperer where hes asked to help a wolf/dog hybrid out.

  • @xxSophiexSmithxx Horse/donkey, horse/zebra and lion/tiger hybrids also exists, but none of these hybrids are fertile enough to be able to reproduce. The two parents have evolved too far apart to be called different races, like races of dogs, and are now separate species not able nor meant to reproduce.

  • @LoverofLiszt A hybrid cannot reproduce, but they still can, this dick says they cant, whether or not the offspring can reproduce doesnt matter, a dog can mate with a wolf and can produce a pup. Theres no law in nature, no divine being who controls what animals do. If they can mate with something they will. Even their own bloodlines

  • @LoverofLiszt Let me rephrase that.... a hybrid cannot reproduce but their parents can i.e. dog and wolf

  • @xxSophiexSmithxx That was what I meant, unfortunately not what I wrote though. Thanks for clarifying to the readers :)

  • @LoverofLiszt A liger may reproduce though

  • @LatencyProblem Really? It doesn´t sound probable that they could do so, Leopardis Tigris and Leopardis Leo are most definitely different species.

But if so, can the Tigon do it too?

  • @xxSophiexSmithxx Any animal in the Canis genus can breed with another dog, a Jackal could breed with a fox terrier, a fox could breed with a St Bernard, Wolves are just the easiest to domesticate for breeding purposes

  • and this is the world we live in,

I feel bad for the students, granted they could read some books, but this fake teacher dude,

is painful to listen to his explanations.

" how can I tell him that your Ideas are bad"

it's same as believing earth is flat.

I think student should get there money back, or transfer to a real school.

ohh I get it, this is a joke, nobody can't be this ignorant.

and if you are not joking

please I beg read, educate your selves,it will set you free.

  • further more,

for the female student, if i told you that common cold is from a virus, you probably don't believe, but if you study you will surely learn, I am not just saying it. it is a fact.

  • this guy should be shame to call him self a teacher, bad teacher maybe. and you failed

Mr. teacher, confusing students about facts, and evolution. clearly this female student doesn't know what evolution is. and its not a just a theory. I think true biologists should re-write this part as "the theory of evolution based on FACTS". seriously, read some books ppl. its all there.

I hope you get fired as a teacher or learn evolution first, then teach.

  • @halo2time theory of evolution THROUGH NATURAL SELECTION. obviously, when you make dogs through it, Evolution is real.

  • @animaljp3 Dogs came from selective breeding, not evolution, but evolution is a phenomenon that has to be taught, that can be backed up with evidence, people who deny that and are willfully ignorant or refuse to understand evolution are just stupid

  • @Brendan9895 evolution is the best traited animal being chosen for genes natural/artificial. How is selective breeding not evolution?

  • @animaljp3 Selective breeding is the breeding of different animals of the same genus together to produce an animal fit for a specific purpose and is done by humans

  • @Brendan9895 Put nature instead of humans, and you got natural selection evolution.

  • That lab goes unused.

  • @X3SakakiX3 yea its spotless lol

  • i can't believe i'm from the same planet as them.

  • I don't know if its just me but the girl at 1:21 reminds me of Clarice Starling...

  • " God does not use natural processes." since God created nature, he obviously used nature

  • @animaljp3 And nature is working with natural processes . God created only the laws of nature the rest is in autonomous development and via evolution which is proven. Stars and planets developed by interaction from laws of nature with matter - energy patterns starting from gas to be cooled down over period to form stone, metal, chemicals, organic stuff etc. all natural no God involved.

  • Tubby's wearing a super-sized Bible Belt.

  • D:... yep....American "education" right there... oo! we dun got ourselves a gap in science! Therefaur GaaawWWWd DUNNIT!

  • @inconsp1cuous1515 Search for "Robin Ince on Creationism" on YouTube. You'll enjoy it, though he doesn't do that accent. ;)

  • @inconsp1cuous1515 Not all schools are like this. Believe me.

  • EPIC FAIL teacher, evolution has evidence, that is why it is science not mythology

  • All those young minds being wasted.

  • God created my Ford and my Truck and my Sister's vagina...and I love em all!

  • Somebody get Richard Dawkins down there right now! Those kids need to be educated ASAP!

  • If the teacher gives equal respect both to creationism and evolution, then he's valuing faith over truth. Something a good teacher would never do. Get a spine, dude.

  • Um, these kids sound like they've been beaten over the head! There is no god!

  • That doesn't make an sense.

  • Now what really bothers me is this fat fool that will readily put forth that supernatural beings are a viable answer to natural causes. Seriously, this is insane. Do people not understand just what supernatural means?! It means its beyond natural, which means we can't see it, smell it, taste it, feel it, and most of all can't study it! Here's another way to put it: IT DOESN'T EXIST!! But please, don't mind me, keep teaching that the universe really has no rules and everything is deuces wild. :P

  • And then you have to wonder how this young woman has been told that evolution hasn't been proven (I don't hear the word evolution but I'm sure that is what she's refering to). Who has told her this? Best guess, her preacher or parents. Basically lied to or fed false information. When the chips are down and someone has to win even religous people will lie, cheat and steal to get their way. Give Dawkins one week at a museum and let him teach evolution to these teens... and see if it is dismissed.

  • LOL, some of you are being pretty harsh. I don't mind going off on grown ups, me being one of them, but these are teens that still don't know a whole lot.

The problem isn't that these kids aren't stupid but that they're allowed to form beliefs and not be challenged about them. Take the "...african person evolve from a white person..." quote as an example. He should be told that evolution allows the body to make changes (adapt) over time to handle different geographies and climates. (cont.)

  • fuck my iq dropped 10 points by watching this video.

  • wtf evolution is observable you cant say its not true....

  • DIFRUNT SKEEUN

  • Mouth breathers.

  • What a bunch of knuckle draggers.

  • Have fun waiting tables till you're 60.

  • Our Tax Dollars ? Really ?

  • Oh my FUCK

  • "How could Chris Gaines evolve from Garth Brooks? It just doesn't make sense."

  • wait by evolutionists he meant scientists right?

  • Don't worry guys, Science isn't needed waiting tables at Waffle House

  • What an insult to science. T_T

  • ಠ_ಠ

  • oh holy fuck, i died a little

  • It's not just in south. I subbed for a high school biology class about 10 years ago, and the students told me that their biology teacher did not "believe in" evolution. The students did not seem like these students, though, but we weren't having an in depth conversation about it. Just the comment (that the teacher didn't believe in evolution) seemed to have chilling affect on the classroom, and I don't know if it was because they were embarrassed, or not wanting to get their teacher in trouble.

  • You Cannot proposition the Lord with prayer!

  • Ahh stupid southern people suck

  • @FingYourDayUp Stupidity isn't a geographical phenomena, FingYourDayUp, stupidity permeates all societies. Need proof? Pay attention to what's going on in Indiana schools right now. NOBODY would classify Indiana as part of 'the south'. Still not convinced? There's a town in Montreal that has four private schools, all christian, none teach evolution. There is no alternative for the secular parents of the students attending these schools, and they are pushing for legislation to change that.

  • @FingYourDayUp Sorry, ---in or around Montreal---, my apologies for that typo. I deleted the 'or around' part to fit the character limit by mistake.

  • Ignorance.

  • "WE'RE DIFFERENT SKIN"!?!?

    AAAAGGGHHHH....

Fucking hicks. No wonder people hate this country...

  • She has such a hard time accepting how life could have "evolved from such a simple organism into what we are now." But I suppose she can accept how a sperm cell and an egg can result in what she is now.

  • Teachers do not even know what evolution is anymore. Science teachers teach evolution, sure, but they teach it wrong... even the atheist ones....

  • Creationists. Making the line between anger and laughter thinner, and thinner everyday.

  • Oh the stupidity it burns!!!! D:

  • I hate the word "evolutionist". That's not a term. There's people that have come to terms with reality and those who haven't.

  • This is really sad. In the year 2012 one would have thought evolution would have deselected this kind of organism by now. These people are not ignorant (not knowing some fact or idea) they are stupid (incapable of learning because of a basic mental deficiency [I.e. religion]) idiots (mentally deficient person acting in a self-defeating or significantly counterproductive way.

  • @ghastin1 It's not really their fault. They are conditioned by the people around them to have this belief system. I bet that these students aren't as dumb as they seem. You may also call them dumb because of their very southern accents, but they only have those because it's what they have been exposed to. Don't blame the kids. Blame the parents and the education system instead.

  • @trent20817 You have a good point, that is true. As far as the problem being "environmentally conditioned", this begs the question how is this problem solved? On another topic your post brings up: If they are intelligent and I am sure some are, the cognitive dissonance they live with must be staggering. Having two opposing belief systems (or truth theories) in place must be really taxing on the mind...

  • Teacher: how could I respect them as a person if I did my job and taught them SCIENCE in place of the ignorant viewpoint they currently have? Seriously? Well, how can the English teacher respect his students if he corrects their hillbilly English? Holy crap, no wonder the OK education system is so useless. They hire people who don't understand or support science to teach it; blind leading the blind.

  • @upshawta Ignore their accents and you'll find that their spoken English is about as correct as that of most people their age (ignoring the content of what they are saying)

  • @trent20817 You missed my point. I wasn't commenting on the accents of the students in the video, I was making an analogy. That is, if a science teacher thinks it shows "lack of respect" to correct students when they're wrong about science, then why would it be respectful for an English teacher to correct the grammar of his/her students? I.e. his statement is inane since it negates the purpose of school.

  • What did the parents of these children do to them?
