So Nintendo makes it so that you have to complete an ALREADY tricky arcade game. TWICE! The second time a HARDER version! They even make you start with ONE life for both times! JUST to get a required item! They even made it so that if Mario falls a measly FIVE feet, he DIES, even though a normal person can jump from twice that height! WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS OR INJURY AT ALL!!

I think that's proof of how evil Nintendo can be.

@JRP3601 if you jump and the platform is too far down you will die ostensibly because it's too far to fall and survive i guess, kind of like he's does in this game with donkey when he falls too far from a high place.

In the booklet, it actually describes Chunky as related to Kiddy (Chunky's the older brother, I think).

actually, donkey kong in dk 64 is actually dk junior and cranky kong is donkey kong senior. so, in dkc, onward, you play as dk junior.
