  • SO....MANY....BEATLES....CLOSEUPS!!!

  • suckssssss

  • never knew DM made a video for this. pretty good for something that was never released.

  • I wonder what Lennon would have made of this.

  • youtube.com/watch?v=12t_LiewUAk&feature=related

  • @cheesemuffin94

You forgot broken bells...my favorite combo

  • 240p????????

  • this fuckin blows

  • It was good enough that I watched it all the way through, but my opinion of it is still "meh"

  • Nothing great...

  • This made me laugh for a good 5 mins. xD

  • This is horrible.

  • This music video is sooo Awesome.. Ringo scratchin, thats killer.

  • this vid is epic

  • lol not terrible

  • Comment removed

  • rap's more popular in america, but the whole world's felt the cultrul impact of hip hop, so this video makes sense! think- hip hop sampling old famous songs!

  • I am a Beatles Completist. I have every Beatle Song ever released including songs not released on the Anthology LP. [Et Cetera by Macca, etc.] When I saw this clip, I fell over LAUGHING!!! Someone took a tired old Rock & Roll song, one that I memorized every note, every squeek and made it new for me. GOD BLESS YOU DANGERMOUSE!!! RAP s-u-c-k-s because RAP doesn't take chances!! It's play 8 notes 148 times, insert one note, 8 times for the middle eight, then repeat 148 more times...boring!!!

  • @Armydicked That isn't what Rap is about. If you're sitting there listening to the beat then you're missing the point. Not trying to be a dick, but that's just what the case is. And most current popular rap misses the point in and of itself; the people need to be people of substance or it's worthless.

Listen to some Talib Kweli and pay attention to what that dude is saying, try Mackelmore, Immortal Technique, Dead Prez, MosDef.

  • Wander if that hapened in the time of the beatles if the crowd would like it

  • how can i make a video in wich ringo starr is a dj?

i really want to konw the program used for the video!

  • This was really cool. Tons of rock musicians in the 60s took from black blues and rock n roll musicians. Why cant they return the favor?

  • I think It's ingenious. The Beatles aren't holier-than-thou. They borrowed from other artist too.

  • Really good until those girls replaced Paul and Georgie. :'( I was like "Nooo! Georgeee!" lol

  • the first mash-up-dj

if this wasnt happen collision course wasnt made!!!

  • my mind is blown 0.o

  • I don't really like this song. Too much "noise". Cool concept though, love DM.

  • was anybody else bought here by the book "html, xhtml & css for dummies" or just me? the author used this song as an example on page 258...

  • I used to be such a prick and get angry about stuff like this. Now I love it.

John Lennon break dancing and Ringo Starr DeeJaying? I approve.

  • when i listen to the white album, i appreciate how danger mouse made those beats so much more

  • Dinosaur Holocaust is all 99 of Jay-Z's problems!

    Dinosaur Holocaust and GLOBAL WARMING!

    Global Warming is eryones problem..

Dinosaur Holocaust played an encore once!

  • Lol

  • What was the beatles song that he mixed? into it

  • @MrTheNova Glass Onion

  • This is a great mix trouble is it makes me want too listen too the Beatles pure rather than have them mixed with Jay-Z.

  • hard days night is such a good movie. great video/song

  • the jaydiohead album is better than the grey album i think, the feel of the mashup's on the grey album just isnt right.

  • yea yea yea dat shit was hot

  • omg this is so creative

  • Ahhaha John's wig falls off at 2:32

  • i hope those 48 people die!

  • Like the music and it is just funny

  • This is hilarious!

  • COOL. so COOL.

  • not feeling it. nice try.

  • man this video is funny 1:16 titties :D

on a more serious note , great mix

  • nobody spins beats like Ringo...or krumps like Lennon!

  • Pretty bad. I can do better.

  • @makaja84 lol.

  • @makaja84 Then do it.

  • @dolphinsmaw

Check out my new remix at my account. But i must admit that i was in a bad mood when i wrote that comment. Dangermouse remix is quite cool. Greets.

  • @makaja84 then why aren't you signed?

  • The real issue is that a lot of the songs weren't mashed up as well as they could have been.

  • lmao I love the music video. And all you haters have to realize that nobody is "ruining" anything, if you haven't read the first part of the video, there is a white album, there is a black album. done and done. This is simply to create a union of two opposing genre's classified by two opposing tones (black and white) to create a middle tone. It's kind of like an experiment to find the middle ground, you know? You kind of have to think about it deeply. If you hate, then simply stop commenting.

  • I'm the 700 click to like this video, FUCK YEAH!

  • the ends worth stickin around the middle minute.. Enjoy.

  • i love hearing mash ups even if i dislike them, it inspires me to do my own

IF YOU LIKE AWESOME AMAZING BEAUTIFUL MUSIC CHECK THIS OUT!

    youtube.com/watch?v=aaytGhycIV4

theres a space between v and 4 when you copy it

  • Someone mix Metallica's Black Album in there. lol

  • You're all smoking crack; this is utter garbage.

  • I feel conflicted about this.

  • theres a better version of this song out there...with out the crowd screamin like a buncha fools haha

  • Sounds cool but sounds like what you might hear if your standing between two dance rooms of a club.

  • awesome

  • awful

  • awuful

  • What a creative son of a bitch...

  • This is Art.

  • Good artists are original Great artists borrow

  • Really not a fan of the Beatles, so sue me, but been loving DM since Ghetto Pop Life and this shit almost makes me like the Beatles, super talented shit. A must listen, thanks for making the Beatles bearable Danger!

  • this track is incredible!!

of course the Beatles are untouchable (not literally, i this case and my opinion)

and jay-z's black album was great as it was...

    but this is a masterpiece!!

and the video's not bad either.

    my opinion. PEACE

  • ALLRIGHT

  • I remember when the grey album came out. Good to see they finally mocked up a video. I'll be looking for the other vids to the rest of the album.

  • dangermouse is so class!! love this album!! great idea and a brilliant album title!

  • This is ill, in my opinion the Grey Album is better than the black album. Never thought that it's possible to put Jay-Z's lyrics over a Beatles-instrumental, but this sounds great!

  • @julianfunck ABSOLUTELY!!!!!

  • @julianfunck I'm sure you've already gotten a ton of these, but check out Jaydiohead as well, they do a great job putting Radiohead's instrumentals to his lyrics.

  • LMAO I love this !

  • I love the beatles music and I love J-Z's music but there are some things in this world that should never be done...... and this is one of them.

  • This is a good idea, but Beatles are the best thing ever and this could have been better.

  • basically you have two types of rappers or musicians.

the ones that just do cause they know they can make some money doing it then you have the real music fans that really enjoy doing it and would do it for free if living was free.

  • Good video!

  • Not much of a mash... the beatles only say "Oh Yeah" the hole time...

  • @jasonautofreak But the music is most beatles.

  • @jasonautofreak All of the instrumentation is from the Beatles. Says a lot about Danger Mouse that you can't tell though

  • Heads unite !

  • @MattyTheMole I completely agree with you, its a consumer world now, feels like money defines you and that makes me sad

  • danger mouse is a geniuuuuus!!

  • For those who dont know John Lennon was know for his breakdancing skills

  • Caught this video for the first time on LINK (Current's entertainment division) and although i despise the "sampling" done by most rappers (Booo-Hisss Diddy SUCKS) this entire production by Danger Mouse was the absolute BEAST-Love it~!!

If i were a artist this would truely have me torn- do i sue this lil mutha-finster or hire him!?

  • Respect Mate

  • Love dangermouse, just would have been happier if it was metallica's black album, though honestly there is no way it would work, because bands like beatallica at pretty bad

  • wow fuck gay-z what a faggot

  • @Gen0cideMachinex138 You cliche ridden social reject. How witty. *sigh*

  • @MattyTheMole I dont like how ever generalizes ignorant people with America, I agree with what both of you are saying about most Americans and how our culture is crap but please dont stereotype us, Im American and love to move out of this country, I really hate 90% of the teenagers here there all like the ones you spoke of at the concert, they all ignorent and i say this as a teenager I'm 18.

  • @JetxSetxGear

Take it easy love, several weeks anywhere else in the world and you would be ready to come home. Because it is your home. There are no Etopitas in the world (That we can access) anymore

  • @JetxSetxGear You must live in a bad place. I lived in the US for a few years and it was great. Most of the people I met there are just normal people like anywhere else. Im so tired of people just stereotyping others.

  • @rapperSkater Not a bad place, just a lot of really cocky teenagers, they all have big egos, annoied the crap out of me.

  • @JetxSetxGear Lol Cocky Teenagers are everywhere in America, but that is just the result of consumers known as parents giving their kids one to many pairs of shoes or everything.

  • @JetxSetxGear yeah, there everywhere though.

  • Comment removed

  • Danger Mouse was the prducer or atleast creator of this, in an interview he mentioned making an accapela that he decided to just put away then later stumbling upon it while listening to the white album then something clicked and this is what he cranked out I'm guessing

  • music is cool but the video made me lmfao

  • if anyone can find a mix up like this of 50cents music called "80cent" let me know ive been lookin for that shit

  • LOOOOOOOOOOL i like this one ! cool ! glass onion's "oh yeah" match perfectly with encore !

  • one of the greatest videos and mix up mash that I have ever heard .. is there anything out there (Raekwon Cuban Linxs 2 exception) that can touch this ???????????.. DEGENERATION (X)

  • This is exactly what they would sound like live!

  • this may be my favorite one, because of the video editing and the fact that this mix works, but i honestly do not like the idea of a jay-z/beatles mix, it just doesn't work

  • Mix of "Glass Onion" an "Encore"! This is dope(:

  • this that director guy jared leto?

  • first time hearing this. and i have to be honest. it sounds like shit.

  • i remember getting this Mixtape when it came out. it was good when i was 18 but now that i am familar with the beatles, it's masterpiece in my mind

  • Why not throw in some of Metallica's Black album? It would be hard to pull off but musically well rounded :)

  • gotta say this record, which is on vinyl, was made for hipsters.. dead ass..

  • @JSEJSE60 This isn't creative? You must have some high standards for creativity.

It's terribly ironic that you chose Picasso as an example of creativity, because late in his life he started reinterpreting other's works (aka redoing others paintings in his style). While that may be more akin to a cover in the world of music, I think it still works for mashups.

  • @brendanmccue Interesting perspective.

  • @brendanmccue excellent point. Also, TS Eliot once said that a bad poet takes another's poem and remakes it. A great poet takes another's poem and turns it into something great.

  • @JSEJSE60 it must suck to be so restrictive and dogmatic like you....live a little, be CREATIVE. The Beatles didn't create music, they channeled what they thought and heard in their own way, and if someone does a mashup or remix of it, all they are doing is taking what they've seen and moved it forward another step.....created something new out of 2 already existing creations. Art is anything and everything, and just cause you can't appreciate it, it doesn't mean that it's not what it is.

  • LOL

  • sucks..plain and simple

  • @Toothless55 you clearly have no taste you despicable excuse for a human being

  • Impossibly unlikable. Unlikably impossible!Magic

  • danger mouse made me like Jay Z. thats how awesome danger mouse is.

  • XD hehhehhehheh "OH YEAH"

  • just enjoy the vid... why do peeps need to make everything an argument about something?!

  • Holy shit tht was crazy!

  • Now Now children, quiet down. Back in my day , everything was so much cheaper and more well mannered. How are we to win the fight against communism if we cannot even win the fight against bad grammar?

  • @bobjoe177

    "the fight against comunsim"

stupid ass bitch as if there weren't enough problems in the world. You have to fight against hunger against capitalism which most of the Americans call democratic. Capitalism means the money to the banks and all of his friends and watch people starve. But you're another stupid idiot who thinks america is the greatest country in the world.

  • @10ar10 "stupid idiot?" the counter culture has been THE driving force behind capitalism for the last 60 years think of how popular items that use rebellion as selling point are...besides that i was being facetious..."stupid idiot"

  • and shame on you if you like the Beatles because it was one of there objectives to fight for peace by playing music and doing benefice-concerts

  • when did all this political crap come into play??!

  • Jay-z is an idiot!!! He compares himself to Che Guevera, but che' thought the black man was a sub-human species and thought genocide was necessary. Che preferred the white european. Jay Z also had an after party after the Brit awards and banned white people from the VIP. young people are stupid these days, they have no education on world history or current affairs. They young people today can tell you about 24 in. rims, how to be a socialist, and about solja boy s dance or some dumb shit!!!!!!

  • I have an extremely hard time believing that. Especially from someone who rants about how stupid the younger generation is, but can't form proper sentences. "They young people". Very nice.

  • you're not one to talk dumbass kid. learn when to use commas.

  • @nerovsdante911 Learn to use capital letters at the beginning of a sentence.

  • @Jollus007 u braindead?

  • @BrighterSkiesBand Learn how to use conjunctions!

  • @Jollus007 Well, seems like Socialism is this generations economic choice. Countries change and so do their governments, sometimes you cant stop it.

  • @Unkindsky Always has to be a smart ass in the group.

  • @SuperFromatoz haha that wasn't a smart ass comment. I wasn't being sarcastic or anything. Was just saying that, if you look at other countries, Socialism is what they use.

  • nice

  • Socialisms not that bad

  • Fag...

  • @blackzepplin u ever been to or lived in a country which suffered it ?

  • Please don't generalize. I'm 14 and care very much about The Beatles. I hate rap, hip-hop, modern pop (Most modern music for that matter) and have a great knowledge on the Revolutionary War, the French Revolution, and the conflict in the Middle East, and not just the stuff the news tells us.

  • @Beatleboy62 OMG YOUR GETTING A FUCKING PRIZE SON. there's great music out today too, you either have no taste or just dont know about it

  • @Beatleboy62 You mean you have a great knowledge of the basic stuff they teach you at school? You hate rap and hip-hop just for the hell of it even though you probably haven't listened to good rap/hip-hop and hate the lil wayne kind. Modern music is great, especially if you look at the indie stuff.

  • @Beatleboy62 Sounds like your parent's are speaking for you, which is fine, parents should keep an eye on what their children see and listen too and for that matter I was probably just like you. I only listened to what mom and dad approved. You should explore music on a contemporary level. I am 30 and listen to almost everything and on that note you should never hate particular genre's of music. As a musician I believe that is just as bad as hating someone for cultural reasons. Typical American

  • @MattyTheMole This is quite true, actually. It's either only what parents approve of, or only what parents disapprove of (black metal etc. in order to appear "edgy"). Lately, it's been leaning towards the second side. Take this as an example. About a week ago I went to visit a convent because there was a 2-hour organ concert. I walked in, sat down and waited for the concert to start. Right before the concert started, a group of kids (about my age) from summer camp joined the concert as well.

  • @MattyTheMole They sat right behind me, and the concert started with J.S. Bach's "Toccata in D minor". Instantly, the whole group of kids behind me started acting apathetic and some of them were loudly yawning (probably to show off their "edginess" once again). After the concert was over, all of them were complaining about how "boring" and "shitty" it was and went on with their lives. Such a shame that it's so hard these days to appreciate music like this.

  • @tauwilltriumph That goes to show you how education in the U.S. works. School and their districts focuses more of its energy and money on more meanless competitive activities, like football and such, which do not concern education in the first place. Look up the documentary called "Stupid in America". I'm sure what you hear wont suprise you, but it offers a lot of good insight on where our future is headed.

  • @MattyTheMole This is actually a universal problem (I'm Polish). The world wants to imitate America, but they're focusing on the wrong things. Thanks for the documentary, I'll check it out.

  • @MattyTheMole You know in all those "documentaries" you watch they are only going to show you the stupid ones. They're are not going to show something that dilutes their point. I went to school in the US and Europe and the US school i went to in Pennsylvania was pretty decent. I don't know about other schools in different areas of America, but mine was on par with other schools i've attended.

  • @MattyTheMole I do agree that the school districts waste money. however, i think that this is a problem everywhere.

  • @Jollus007

Che Guevara was not a racist dumbass, why would he fight in the Congo against European imperialists if that was the case. You shouldn't believe all the Republican assholes who constantly put anyone who disagrees with them down

  • Wow I downloaded this 6 years ago, and still appreciate the Grey album. Even the Beatles stole the idea of mixing different tracks(e.g. Love)!

  • Well, George and John were dead by then, and Paul and Ringo really had no part in 'Love' besides giving it the green light.

  • I stand corrected.

  • ? What do you mean how it came to be?

  • This video is INCREDIBLE by the way! I wonder where it came from and how it came to be...? Anyone know?

  • someone made it for dangermouse mixing jay-z and beatles footage like some of it is beatle movie and others are jay z conert shit

  • Dangermouse's genre splicing is fucking classic. Some of the stuff he pulls off reminds me of our music. Check us out if you like DM. Cheers.

  • fuck jay z and the illuminati

  • the mouse is so ill

  • are you not a fan of dangermouse???

  • @clipcalhoon Not at all. I love dangermouse.

  • @ForbiddenVegetable k...then why the hostility?

  • this is incredible

  • lol sick go beatles!

  • nvr thot id see the day of a good remix with the beaetles and hiphop

  • hahha this is soo coool

  • crazy kick ass vid and tune. sick!

  • es el mejor..................empresario mason.

  • Record corporations, who quashed selling of this great album, are killing musical and artistic creative culture in our country of "the free and the brave", the totalitarians in the record companies need to be neutured.

  • Amen, brother. Totalitarians everywhere I look.
