what's the purpose of this video? Anyway used to help the laptop tech where I worked..I think what you have to be careful with are the cables & connectors. some are pretty delicate. I used to fix vcr's and those had a lot of delicate plastic parts.
Some of the Mitsubishi vcr's were a real nightmare, very complicated.
Try my copper shim and lower your gpu temps. It is a perfect fit and only $5. Comes with thermal paste free. Search for "dv6000 copper shim" on ebay.
I have found no reason to ... but that is just me ... there is a possiblity of static discharge that can cause imediate, and long term damage to the components but probably would not show up till long after you have no use for the laptop.. but to be safe I have to put it out there. kind of a CYA thing.
