If she had her own "brand," she really REALLY fucked it up doing the Beverly Hills Housewives show! It's amazing that with all that "psychic" ability, she couldn't see her own stupidity becoming corporeal. She has displayed her real-life idiocies for everyone to see and judge; what a fool.
Go to THE TRUTH ABOUT PSYCHIC DETECTIVES by Benjamin Radford here on Youtube. Allison Dubois has NEVER been hired by the Texas Rangers or Glendale Polce to solve any cases. She continues to line her pockets with MONEY from desperate parents. At one time she was an intern at a D.A.'s office and wanted to become a lawyer. Now, she writes science fiction...NBC pulled information about her in reference to the show "Medium" because her claims are false. Camille & Kelsey Grammer produce the show!
In regards to tif's last remarks----Anybody want some cheese with us quackers??? Ahahahahahaaaaa!!!! Sorry, addicted to bad puns, can't help myself. And I am puzzled---muddie, why on earth are you defending Tif88? Oh and hey Mipian, I sent you a message! :) Happy Firecracker day.
HA! Yeah, I didn't get where tif was coming from with the quack remark. It didn't make sense but then I shouldn't find that surprising considering the source. Nor do I understand muddie's defense of him. Lanthiriel I replied to your message. Happy Firecracker Day to you too!
He is referring to his belief that those of us who like Allison are quacks, ie nutcases. It's the wrong usage of the word, mind you, but that is what he meant. (I am a nutcase, by the way, just don't tell anyone! Shhhh.)
Lanthiriel, maybe tjfnee doesn't believe Allison is honest because he is psychotic. You know, able to do medium stuff, but what he does doesn't work very well. So he picks on her. He really should research the Bible to find peace.
Lol! Umm, did you mean pyschic instead of psychotic? Freudian slip? It's okay! I can't help but find the humor in it!! Thanks for answering my question---it sounds like you have a good heart. :)
Lanthiriel - I was also wondering if Muddie committed a Freudian slip. Either way, what she said is hysterical. Muddie, sorry if that offends you, I honestly don't mean it that way. It's just that "Tiffany88" deserves to be tagged a psychotic (nut-case).
tjfnee you are a foul mouthed, ignorant fool. You base everything you say on conjecture. You have no clue what logic is and your lame comments prove it. You seem to think you are of high intelligence but the only person you are fooling with that assumption is yourself. Based on your comments I would have to say you have serious issues with women. You're creeping me out.
And I'll say it again, one more time, if you don't start acting like a civilized human being I will delete your garbage and block you from posting on here. So how do you like them apples?
Do what you like, I don't give two shits. I won't change the fact that dubious is a fraud and you're an idiot for believing in her. Your gullability will continue.
"tiffany88" - Allison was under close study at the University of Arizona for many years. It was proved there that she is what she claims. You, on the other hand, could be proved to be an idiot in mere seconds.
I don't know about logic huh? Yet you have nothing to refute what I say. Funny you should mention conjection because that is all you have ever offered. I have serious issues with fraud, which is the bread and butter of dubious and people like her. I also have zero respect for silly housewives who fantasize about being police detectives because their own failed, unfulfilling lives make them wish for so much more.
tjfnee you are one to talk about unfulfilled lives. You have enormous issues. I don't know what ever happened in your life to make you have such disdain for women but you seriously need to get a handle on it. You not only have zero respect of housewives you have zero respect for women in general. Why do you hate women?
Yep, more assumptions from mipian. I have no hatred for women. What I cannot stand is women (or men like John Edwards) who are frauds. I also don't like preachy, do nothing housewives who get onto our schoolboards and start insisting on preaching in public schools, teaching creationism as science, and advocating "mediums" to understand the truth of the universe. Mysticsm and supersition is the lazy person's way out; try actually attending college and making something of yourself.
Hhaha, very funny. As if you don't know the John Edwards I'm talking about; the famed fraud act John Edwards who talks to the dead (crossing over). Go ahead, deny you knew what I was talking about. Anyway, you housewives have fun. Dream about all the things you wanted to do with your lives before ending up sitting at home all day strapped down with a bunch of brat kids. Continue believing in fraud. It is useless to continue any form of discussion with you quacks.
tjfnee as far as having kids goes, I certainly hope you don't reproduce. The gene pool doesn't need anything in it that you have to offer. And I'm sure the only way a woman would become impregnated with your child would be through a violent act on your part.
tjfnee, I've read where that sillyfurby person called you a coward. Do not listen to that nonsense. No one should judge you. Only God has the right to judge. I am sure if you pray hard enough, the answer about Allison will be revealed to you.
"tiffany88" - Ha! You can't call me a do nothing housewife. I will not disclose my occupation, but do let me know when you are in the market for a root canal.
November 30, 2005 on MSNB Rita Cosby live Allison Dubious looked at a picture of three boys suspected in the disappearnce of Natalee Holloway and said not only that they killed her but also they they had all done this many times in the past. She claimed she know this because she "head taped" them through the picture. Despite this she then offered no explanation as to where the body was or what they had done with it, nor has she ever.
In May 2006, Guido Wever was arrested and indicted for the murder and disappearance of Natalee Holloway. He is, as of today, the only person under indictment for the alleged crime. He was not in the picture to which allison dubious referred, nor was he a suspect at the time of the MSNBC interview. He was released on bail but remains under indictment and investigation. Dutch authorities expect an update in the case before Dec. So much for "head taping".
tjf it would be helpful if you would let us know who you are replying to since the replies don't come in under the comments. I think the one about having proven Allison is a liar is for me. And no, you have proven nothing of the sort. We have been over this. Just because the agencies hedge on it doesn't mean she hasn't helped them. Saying they do not recall is not a definitive answer.
tjf does Rocker have a point? Is there some kind of history between you and Allison? Unrequited love perhaps? Stranger things have happened. For somebody who doesn't believe in what she does you sure do seem to be obsessed with her.
"Tiffany88" You are so dead set against Allison, that I have to wonder if you are afraid of her? What have you got to hide, that you are so determined to discredit her? As for the Police not admitting to having Allison's help, how do you know that? Do you really expect them to broadcast everything? Sheesh, what a dummy!!!
Are you out of your mind? You think because I call into question the veracity of her claims that I am "obsessed" or have some romantic inclination? I could care less about Dubois and have no desire to ever meet her or correspond with her in any way. What I am interested in is whether she can do what she claims; because if she can, it would the single most important scientific discovery to date. When you dig into her however, you find that most of her claims don't hold water.
tjf you have no more proof that she is a liar than I have that she isn't. Just because police agencies hedged on their answers doesn't mean she didn't work with them. They do have to be careful because some people, like you, would rake them over the coals simply because it is not your belief that psychic powers exist. Unless we get some new information about her we are at a stalemate.
However, not all agencies give a rat's ass what people like you think about using a psychic. I suggested we look into the Psychic Detective program or YT clips to see if it shows them working together, naming agencies, or showing police officers. I have not had the time yet myself to look at the YT clips but I spoke with somebody who watches the program and they do show psychics and police agencies working together.
Well you're wrong. I have provided you proof that she did not work for the police agencies she claimed; here more proof quoted: Lisa Block, spokesperson for the Texas Department of Public Safety, says that "The Texas Rangers have not worked with Allison DuBois or any other psychics." (02/05) Read it here: prweb(dot)com/releases/2005/2/prweb202967(dot)htm. No "hedging" there but a definitive statement.
Yes, of course they said that. Like Mipian has been saying/typing so often I'm surprised she hasn't resorted to cut and paste, if the agencies involved ever said otherwise, they'd be rip to shreds.
I should metion, however, that in fairness you have yet to offer any evidence, proof, or otherwise that Dubois has ever worked on these cases as she claims. You now don't seem even to want to acknowledge that she has claimed to work on these cases for any specific agency. I have offered my proof, where is yours?
Proof? You call that proof? You can't be serious. For one thing you got that information second hand at best. Why should I believe your source? If Lisa Block was sworn in and made that statement it would still only prove that it is her belief they don't use psychics. I can guarantee you that agency spokespersons do not know everything that goes on. There is absolutely no way they know who every officer is in contact with on every crime. And the Glendale statement was a complete hedge.
Uhh, yeah it is proof. You think the spokeperson would say something without checking the facts first; it's only her job. You are really stretching the outer edges of belief at this point. Her alleged involvement was much publicized by the TV series; the first episode that aired was specifically about the Tx Ranger case. In your opinion, however, the Tx Ranger spokesperson doesn't have a clue what's going on though; that's why they made her the spokesperson I guess.
OMG! Tjf since when is something somebody reads on a website blog considered proof of anything? It's a good thing you aren't an attorney or you would be laughed out of the courtroom with 'evidence' like that. Even the Two Percent Company offers a disclaimer that says they are offering opinions and statements from third parties and they don't vouch for the accuracy. They also say their statements are opinion.
Your argument becomes even sillier when you try to use the TV drama as some kind of evidence that you are correct. For goodness sakes, it's a TV drama! It isn't a documentary. It's fiction. Do you believe that every TV drama is passed off as fact? You have no proof, no credibility, and no game.
Did you know that Paula Zahn of CNN interviewed Allison? And that a Tarrant County sheriff's office employee confirmed that Allison did assist the TX Rangers. Sergeant Bobby Adabere told CNN that he met with Allison and it was the Texas Rangers that put him in contact with her.
Zahn also said they spoke with a well-placed law enforcement official in Phx who said Allison's info had helped on at least 6 cases. She told Zahn "DuBois has been specific enough in details that it seems impossible that she would know this information any other way." That well-placed law enforcement official was not allowed by her employer to reveal her identity. Gee, imagine that. A police agency not allowing an employee to reveal her name. And it's because of people like you!
mipian - Don't you get it? "Tiffany88" most certainly does believe what he sees on the boob tube. As proof, he is treating the real life of Allison D., as a soap opera. Is he determined to dream up his own script?
And I specifically told you that I ALSO have no proof that Allison worked with those agencies. Like I said before, it's a he said, she said situation. And where did you ever get the idea that I don't acknowledge that she claimed she worked with those agencies? Especially since I have been saying all along it's a he said, she said deal. And as for your "proof"...it sucks. You have proven nothing except that you don't pay attention to what people say.
It's not a question of he said she said. It's a question of two public agencies issuing official denials to interested news media and her then shutting up. That is more like, "she said, they denied, she stopped using their names." Whether you choose to agree, to a logical mind the below is proof offered and tends to count against her credibility. The Tx Rangers do not suffer from a lack of credibility and an official statement can be relied upon.
tjfnee88 Dubois merely stopped using their names because she was following their lead. It is stupid to broadcast every detail of a case. It compares to issuing statements of military tactics to the enemy. I have a gut feeling you believe what the public was told concerning the terrorist attack on 911. You see what you want to see, and you hear what you want to hear.
"Tiffany88" - The Tx Rangers are supposed to be big tough men. Perhaps their credibility slips a mite when it comes to admitting that a woman had to help them solve cases? Sheesh, I hope you aren't backing off here for similar reasons.
You seem stuck on only seeing one reason and one reason alone why Allison would remove the agency's names. There are other possibilites, such as Allison not wanting to cause any trouble for the agencies she assisted.
mipian - It appears as if "Tiffany88" has backed down and will no longer be participating in this discussion. Is tiffy researching? Or did he just realize he couldn't prove his point?
Hi Mipian. You know, I really respect the fact that you put up with all the abuse and annoyances, when you could just as easily hit the old delete button. Shows strength and integrity. I don't think I would have been as patient. :)
Hi Lanthiriel, thank you for your kind words. I must admit I was very tempted to hit the delete button on several occasions but only resorted to it once when tjfnee went well over the line of decency. I figured if I gave him enough rope he would hang himself. :) I think he showed his true colors with his childish vocabulary and lack of logic.
You know the older I get, the more I am aware of the fact that there are many things in our reality that we just do not know about or do not understand yet. Scientists are continuely making new discoveries that negate former conclusions thay have made about the nature of reality. "hard evidence" is in the eye of the beholder, . . .
. . .and there are things that exist that do not, by their nature, produce measureable hard evidence, at least not measurable by the equipment we have available to us in this present day.
Lanthiriel We sure seem to be on the same page when it comes to this topic. I so agree with you that there is far more out there than what meets the eye. It wasn't that long ago that people believed the world was flat. They had no way to prove it otherwise. But they were wrong. I hope one day in the near future there will be the technology to prove the existence of spirits or other dimensions or whatever secrets the universe holds.
Well it looks like tjfnee crawled back out from under his rock. I will be deleting his last vulgar comment but I wanted you to see it in case you wanted to reply to it. After I know you have read it, it will be history. I'm tired of warning this pervert about his language. Obviously he has nothing intelligent to say and that's why he resorts to vulgarities. I find it ironic that he accuses somebody of being a liar while using dubious baseless drivel as "proof".
Funny you should talk about logic; a discipline of which you have zero knowledge. Guess it's hard for you to get a proper education living in the trailer. How's you job at the supermarket checkout counter going? Little good all your belief in dubious has done you.
tjfnee if you want somebody to answer your question about capital punishment I suggest you address them by their name since you appear to be the only moron on here and I don't think even you were that stupid as to ask yourself a question. But then again...
do you or do you not support capital punishment? Why avoid the question? If you can insult me, I can insult you, it's that simple. Besides, moron should not be taken as an insult against you; it is an accurate description, like calling you an overfed housewife, which is also true.
Uhh, duhh, you're the one I've responded to several times; and the question I also asked to both you and the other nutter by responding to your individual posts specifically. Don't play games, just answer. Do you or do you not support capital punishment? Or are you afraid to answer for some reason? I'll tell you flat out that I oppose capital punishment. Your turn, answer.
First of all I'm not afraid to answer your question. Why would I be? That's just silly. I have a lot of problems with capital punishment. One problem is that it's not always the right person who gets executed. If just one innocent person is executed, and there have been many, then it isn't worth doing. Also, it is very barbaric. It's also very expensive. That being said, if one of my loved ones was murdered I wouldn't want the offender to take one more breath.
So you're against one of the main principles that Dubious stand for. She is a proponent of capital punishment. Also, for you, yesterday doesn't even register on your timeline; either that, or what you really mean in your earlier posts by "wasn't that long ago" was the Renaissance or Reformation eras. You felt unsure of yourself and then started talking about BC. By the way, you should study history; people in BC knew well enough that the world was round.
And what difference does it make if Allison believes in capital punishment and I have my doubts about it? There is no logic in your argument. She may have a different opinion on whether or not we should have invaded Iraq. Or what flavor of ice cream is best. So what? What does that have to do with whether or not she has psychic ability?
Hmm, if there are things "we have no knowledge of as yet", then that means no one has experienced them. Logically, that means we cannot identify any of these things. It further means that your statement lacks any sort of logical cohesion and is complete nonesense. You cannot claim something exists that has yet to be shown to exist through proof. If you do, you are backwards or, more appropriately put, retarded.
tijfnee are you saying that everything has already been discovered? That there is nothing that mankind does not know of yet? You are so very arrogant and so very ignorant. You have a right to your own opinions and beliefs but not your own facts.
Well, once again, 6th grade education comes shinning through. You cannot even identify a classical point of contention between competing philosophical positions; for instance materialism versus quantum string theory. Are you a new age quantum adherant? I'm sure you're into "the secret" etc as dubious and her idiot followers are; do you believe in the new age quantum approach or some other? Depending upon your belief, that will answer the question. What is it?
I'm not "into" any of those boxes you're trying to paint me into. A theory is just that, a theory. You're so busy trying to tell me what I'm thinking and what I'm about that you're whole concept of a point of contention is flawed.
Let's go back to your words: "The universe is loaded with things that we have no knowledge of as yet." Do you know what the existential fallacy is in logic? Look it up. Even though you did not present a syllogism, it still commits the existential fallacy because it assumes many "things" in existance that cannot be or have not been proven. The universal quality of your statement rules it out of logical validity. If you studied logic even once in your life, you would understand this.
We already know what you're about. You're about superstition and mysticism. That is apparent in your belief in Dubious. You also believe in an afterlife; if you didn't, how could you believe in Dubious? You also have firm belief in unquantifiable "unknowns" that exist but have yet to be discovered. Nowhere, however, did I tell you what your philosophy was other than saying I'm sure you're into "the secret". I asked you what your philosophy was, and that is quite clearly represented below.
tjfnee I don't even know what secret you're talking about but then that's probably part of your little game. I think you have a thing for Allison as a previous poster had said before. You do seem like an obsessed 'fan' or something very strange. The more you say the creepier you get.
You don't know the book "The Secret to Everything". You've never heard of that book? Search it on youtube. I have a thing for outing fakery and fraud; anything that is BS but presented to us as real. This is particularly the case when claiming to have "sent people to death row" and "helped" police catch real killers. I care nothing for her otherwise. What you really want is a world where no one disagrees with you.
I think a world in which everybody agreed on everything would be a very boring world. I have told you before that I welcome opposing opinions. I don't welcome vulgarities. There are just as many vile words and names for men but I don't use them. I respect men in general and I respect myself too much to lower myself to your level.
That's why you continuously deleted my posts regarding your misunderstanding of a simple hypothetical? You remember, the one in which I pointed out to you that the word "if" must mean an assumption within the context of the sentence? You were completely wrong as usual and, out of great embarrassment to yourself, had to delete.
Makes all the difference in the world. Cap punishment is qualitatively different from flavor of ice cream. How would you feel if someone you knew was sent to the gas chamber on the basis of evidence from a psychic, specifically allison dubious? You would have a real conflict then; you believe dubious can do the things she claims, yet to so believe, you must admit your friend committed the crime and suffer the consquences; consequences that you oppose philosophically.
tijfnee that is the most ridiculous argument you have come up with in a long time. When has anybody in recent history been convicted of a crime based solely on evidence from a psychic? OMG! You are really reaching tonight. And you accuse me of being uneducated?! Sheesh!
Per Allison Dubious, a direct quote from a "meduim" who you believe can identify killers; "I've sent people to the electric chair." In any case, it is what is called a hypothetical question; an intellectual exercise. I wasn't suggesting a real case dummy, it's a hypothetical point of logic. That is why the word "if" is right there. In any case, if she does have this ability, why would you object to only her affirmative identification of the killer as the only proof needed?
I like the way you back peddle. One minute you are taking everything literally but as soon as you're called on it you change it to a "hypothetical question". Nice hedge. Not worth commenting on because you just change everything around. It's the old technique of "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit". I don't feel like playing your game.
"Tiffany88" I wonder how long it has been since you last looked in a mirror? Or was the last time such a horrifying experience that you are too cowardly to take another peek? In other words, you do not like who you are, and have become determined to cut other people to ribbons. Yeah, I've got your number!!!
Once again, silly strikes; she makes herself look foolish as always. You cannot present coherent arugments of any kind, so you make feeble attempts at insult. When you wake up tomorrow you'll still be a fat, bored housewife. Continue your belief in dubious, it will net you ZERO. Dubious is a scum sucking villian who proposers off the misery of others.
Lanthiriel I also think Sylvia Browne is a fake. I have heard her contradict herself on the radio. It had to do with that mining accident that happened awhile back. If she were on the up and up she would have just said she was wrong. It reminds me of tjfnee. They lie when the truth sounds better. They are the opposite sides of the same coin.
Okay, I've read it. I'll have to admit, I couldn't help but laugh when I read it! I know it is vulgar and all, but just the sheer outrageousness was really a riot! Go ahead and delete it if you want to, I'm fine either way. :)
I appreciate you wanting to give everyone a fair shake, but I am concerned about how you and Sillyfurby are devoting so much time and precious energy to this conversations that seem to be so pointless. I also was stunned when I discovered the age he posted for himself, I had thought that you were dealing with a youngster.
Exactly when did people believe the world to be flat? And exactly how could they not prove it otherwise? Is it any wonder that those who clung to the absurd belief that the world was flat were exactly the type one would suspect; blind believing idiots. The same ones who believed in astrology, witchcraft, demons, bible bullshit, predictions, etc. I'm curious to hear from you exactly how "not" long ago was, in your infantile mind, not long ago. What century?
There have been many cultures throughout the ages who believed the earth was flat. Not only BC but even today there is the group calling themselves The Flat Earth Society who believe the earth is flat. Then when you take into account the age of the earth even BC is not that long ago. I would suspect there were all different religious beliefs among the people who believed the earth was flat.
Your words, "It wasn't that long ago that people believed the world was flat. They had no way to prove it otherwise." So, you're now saying that "BC" wasn't that long ago? What people believed this and how long ago? Is it your position that this was the scientific or learned position of the people of the day at whatever time you're discussing?
It wasn't that long ago. A couple of thousand years is nothing when you take into account how old the earth and universe are. And there are still people today who believe the earth is flat. Is that recent enough for you? It's irrelevant whether they based their belief on what they considered to be science or whether it was a learned position passed down. They didn't know any better.
Ok, so when you said this, "It wasn't that long ago that people believed the world was flat. They had no way to prove it otherwise,", you meant people living in "BC". What era BC? The flat earth society people today are just as nutty as you are. I'm talking about your specific allegation that recently people believe the earth to be flat and had no means to prove otherwise. When was that?
Tijfnee I would have to venture to say that since the dawn of man and from that time forward, there have been people who believed the world was flat. So what's your point? There was also a time when people didn't know that animals were made up of living cells. I'm not going to get into a big argument over semantics.
My point is that belief in a flat world was not as widespread as it seems; the position that is was so widespread comes from 6th grade history books, which demonstrates the extent of your education. Finally, those who advocated for a flat earth theory prior to the 18th cent were the same people who believe in demons, witches, psychics, astrologers, predictions, etc. That should tell you something if you can grasp it.
tijfnee the whole point is that at one time there were people who didn't know the earth was round. They didn't even know there was a North American continent. They had no way of knowing or proving such things. As humankind evolved in different areas these things became apparent. The invention of the microscope opened up a whole new world. There are still things that have yet to be discovered on the land and below the seas.
Wrong again. There were many ways to prove the Earth was round; these ways were specifically noted in ancient texts (mathematicians/philosophers from Greece, Persia, China, India, etc). Also, the fact that the Earth was round was well known to saliors and those involved with nautical matters also in BC. You don't know of these things because, again, you have at best a 6th grade level of education.
"tiffany88" - You inquire as to the education of others, and yet are in ignorance of grade school history? It is in school books that there were those who believed the world was flat. They were fearful of sailing the oceans blue lest they sail right off. What'd you do, snooze through class?
Speaking about odd discoveries, I was reading about an astrophyscist who has discovered what she labels "dark energy", (not meaning dark in the negative sense!) But you ought to look up some info about it, it's fascinating.
Also I was reading either Popular Science or Discover(I think) and an award winning mathematician has worked out equations which implies the exsistence of parallel dimensions. It is so cool.
Hi Lanthiriel, it is a beautiful day! On one hand I want to delete what tjfnee replied to you because it was so vulgar but on the other hand I want to leave it because it speaks volumes about his character while having nothing to do with you. I too was amazed to see what he claims his age to be. Whatever his real age is, he sure has issues with women. Somehow I'm not surprised.
Lanthiriel when I go back to try and find comments on here they are all scrambled, kind of like tjfnee's thought process. :D Are they out of order for you? Thanks for the tips about "dark energy". I will certainly do some searching on that subject. I have been interested in parallel dimensions. Are you familiar with EVP, Electronic Voice Phenomenon?
Yes, the comments are out of order for me too. And yes I am familier with EVP, though I am leery of most of it, regarding whether the samples are a sham and whether doing EVP is very wise to begin with. I feel quite a lot of it is similar to looking at clouds and seeing all sorts of forms. . . .
Lanthiriel I had first heard about EVP a few years ago on Coast to Coast. They played some incredible EVP and said that anybody can get them. So on a lark, my daughter and I decided to give it a try. We had no expectations. When we came home and played back our tape we were amazed that we had actually gotten something on it that we had no explanation for. I was skeptical because like you, nobody I knew personally had done it and I don't just trust things I hear on the radio.
When we actually were able to capture something that we could not explain on tape we were very surprised. I would like you to hear it and see what you think. We have gone out since the first time and were successful on only a couple more occasions. I'm glad we got something on our first try or we probably wouldn't have bothered with it again. Patience is the key. But if you would like to hear this, it's only a few seconds long, let me know and I will PM you with the address.
Now I believe the universe is unlimited, yet as far as EVP goes, I would have to listen to a sample made by someone I personally know and trust. I must admit though, the fellas in Ghost Hunters have collected a few compelling samples. Hmmm, upon reflection I realise I'm still on the fence.
Oh, and speaking of mistakened beliefs, ie. the earth is flat, it wasn't too long ago scientists believed in something they called "The Ether", a substance they felt filled outer space. It was while conducting experiments to measure ether, that the data, to their surprise, ended up proving ether didn't even exist! I always got a kick out of that story!
Lanthiriel I would also like to say that my mother died unexpectedly within 6 hours of the book signing. So this subject is very sensitive to me. I was really glad I had attended the signing because being able to reflect back on the things Allison said gave me a lot of comfort and helped me cope with my loss.
Oh Mipian, I am *so* sorry you had to deal with such a loss so unexpectedly. It is amazing timing that you were able to attend the signing, sounds like the universe was trying its best to take care of your needs.
I feel Allison is unique compared to others in her field who are in the spotlight. She is so down to earth, unlike folks like Sylvia Browne who leave a bad taste in my mouth. I have nothing good to say about her and many others who I sincerely believe *are* fakes.
Oh look, another uneducated, white trash trailer park cunny slob makes a series of uninformed, ridiculous statements. Looks like you're a "wiccan" too; a member of a religion created in the 20th cent by lesbo nut jobs. Too bad for you Allison Dubious refers to god as a "he" and claims to be a devout christian. Oh, by the way, do you support capital punishment weirdo?
tiff, I'm about sick and tired of your foul comments. I told you a long time ago I won't put up with it. This website can be viewed by all ages and because I have too much respect for myself as well as those who might read this, I'm not going to tolerate that kind of language from you anymore. If you can carry on an adult conversation I will leave your comments up. I feel sorry for you but your own personal problems are not my problems.
So, you're not required to worry about being offensive, only I am? Just answer the core question and forget everything else. Why did Alison Dubois lie about solving cases for both the US Border Patrol and the Glendale Police Department? Can you answer that please or will you avoid it again?
tif first of all if I felt the disdain for somebody that you apparently feel for me, I just wouldn't bother talking to them. I certainly wouldn't lower myself to the use of inappropriate language on the level you used towards me. Life is too short. If you hate me that much do your blood pressure a favor and don't even get involved in this conversation. That being said, had somebody else used the same language on you as you used towards me, I would have deleted their message as well.
tif I have not seen any proof that Allison lied about the BP or the Glendale PD. I once again looked online to see if there is proof of what you say, there isn't. It seems to be a he said, she said. The police stay away from controversy as best they can. Skeptics like you would rake them over the coals if they admitted to using psychic mediums. She has a lot of people who discredit her but with no proof and with disclaimers to their own accuracy. That wouldn't hold up in court.
So you're saying that the US Border Patrol and the Glendale Police Department lied when they said Dubois never once solved any case for them? According to you, these agencies have a policy of knowingly lying to the public? Try this for starters idiot: abc(dot)net(dot)au/science/ks/moments/s1883787(dot)htm
tif I'm not saying they lied exactly, the term hedged would be more appropriate. The Glendale PD spokesman Michael Pena said the detective who deals with missing persons cases "does not recall using Dubois at all in one case, or in any other cases." Kind of a vague denial, don't ya think? You know, just like the Bush administration has been doing under oath recently when they keep saying they don't remember. It's a way to cover one's ass.
"Does not recall" doesn't sound anything like a hedge to me. It's not a vague denial either. The real telling fact here is that these claims (US Border Patrol, Texas Rangers, Glendale PD) used to be listed prominently on her website. She has since removed them and replaced them with "assistance to law enforcement"; unnamed. Why is that I wonder? Because she got caught in a lie.
police and law enforcement cannot claim to ahve used a psychic or else nothing will hold up in court-they deny it for legal issues. but yup she really is used.
Hi SailingDream you have a very interesting bio. I don't have the "gift" myself and I'm not sure I would want it. It must be difficult for you at times. I agree that it's sad that some people are so mean and that they don't even realize it. Don't let them discourage you.
Spirits in photos...wow...i just seem them sitting next to me...walking around...i hate cemeteries they like mob ya...the good thing is i never feel lonely or alone because there is always someone there for me whether it be my guides or just some person wanting to reach me (i'm new to this whole thing...i supressed this for 10yrs believing that my parents telling me it was a dream were right..but they werent)
halliwell my daughter and I sometimes go to cemeteries to do a little "ghost hunting". We have gotten a few EVP but lately we haven't gotten a thing. I wish you could come with us, maybe you could stir something up that we could capture on tape. Do you have any advice for us that might help the next time we go?
Like i've said im new to the whole thing...and im only 17 but like Allison says...they're there even if we cant see them...just talk to them....maybe even ask them to stand by that tree and pose...they tend to like being wanted...your braver than me...i dont like cemeteries...not because of it being "Spooky" it just gets hard to tell who is alive and whose not...I feel no need for going to a cemetery as our loved ones are always with us...or watching over us.
halliwell if I had the experiences that you do I wouldn't feel the need to go ghost hunting in cemeteries. As it is, I am trying to prove their existence to myself by capturing EVP or readings on an EMF meter.
tif it's easy to find websites to back up claims. However, that doesn't make them factual. I can find just as many to back up all kinds of claims about all different issues. For instance the claim that Allison never worked with the Texas Rangers often turns up terminology such as "refuse to confirm" she worked with them. If you are a Fox "news" kind of guy you should be used to sorting through those types of lies and exaggerations. But then, Fox viewers don't really care about the truth.
Your position is then that these agencies are liars? That Dubois did, in fact, work for them and solved cases for them, but out of embarrassment they lied and covered up the truth? I could give two shits about faux news or any other news service for that matter. Just answer the question, do you believe she lied when she said she solved missing persons cases for those specific agencies?
tif first of all I said I would not say the agencies lied. I said they hedged. And for good reason. The last thing they need is controversy because that gets in the way of law enforcement. Unfortunately, they may not always be forthcoming on some issues due to the fact that it can bring about controversy. I have not wavered on this.
I wish they would give us more room to comment to each other on here. To be continued...
I would have to see, in context, where she states that she has solved missing persons cases in order to give you my opinion as to whether or not I feel she is being truthful. I'm not trying to hedge! I just don't want to base my opinion on hearsay. And I stress the words "my opinion" because neither of us has had proven facts provided to us. We all have a right to our own opinions but not our own facts. I'm sure that's something we can agree on.
Now about her web page, I just looked at it and apparently it has been changed again because I didn't see anything like what you said was on it. It is very common for websites to be changed and updated. It's done all the time. That does not mean that if something doesn't appear on the updated version that it was a lie. Goodness sakes, the sites would continue to grow and grow to the point of being silly.
By the way, it's nice to have a discussion without the name calling.
Well, if it wasn't a lie, don't you think that a resume including consulting as a psychic for those specific agencies would lend her credibility? It doesn't strike you in the least bit suspicious that these things were claimed on her website at the start of the show "Medium" but were later taken down? She still claims to consult for police forces and DA's, but she's not willing to tell us which ones. That doesn't strike you as odd?
Absolutely I think a resume including consulting for police agencies would lend her credibility. I don't see how anybody could disagree with you on that score. I don't know how suspicious it is that her website has changed though. If they don't change it every now and then, who would bother to go back to it? She may have made an agreement with the agencies she is with now that she wouldn't divulge their identities. Or perhaps she is reticent to name them due to past experience.
Finally, one very, very important point. Her involvement in any criminal case as a psychic is nothing more than cannon fodder for the defense. A defense lawyer is going to find this out and have a field day with it. To deny that she was so consulted could have serious legal consequences for police departments; particularly in cases where she claimed to have "put people on death row". Missing persons cases would also require the police to divulge this if asked.
Bingo to the cannon fodder statement you made. And a defense attorney would make a laughing stock out of the whole psychic medium thing because many people don't buy into it or are afraid to admit in public that they do for fear of ridicule. There are a lot of charlatans out there. Especially when it comes to something that can't be scientifically proven, at least not at this time. I am skeptical. I feel the same way about religion. I would love nothing more than scientific proof.
As to whether or not her help with the police agencies would have to be divulged goes, I think it would depend on how it was handled and just what form of help she is giving. For instance if somebody calls into Silent Witness with tips, they never have to be named. The police just take the tips and use them in whatever way they can to solve a crime. A perfectly good case can be made without divulging every witness. Probably just depends on the circumstances of each individual case.
Uh, not quite. Dubois isn't talking about phoning in anonymous tips to the cops. That is clear from the article and interview I previously posted. She states that she is called as a consultant in active criminal cases and investigations. She has made these claims in multiple forums throughout the years. Only recently did she remove the names of the agencies described below AFTER they said no. Stick only to the point; did she or did she not?
I wasn't implying that she was calling in using Silent Witness. I was just using that as an example of how a person could provide information without having to testify. Paid informers also provide tips and information without having to testify. So I'm just saying that because a person provides pertinent information doesn't necessarily mean they have to testify. Every person involved in solving a crime is not put on the witness stand.
if a person provides what you call "pertinent" information, the likelyhood that they will be called to testify if very high. If the basis for a warrant was evidence provided by a psychic, then that pyschic would certainly and without a doubt be called to the stand. If, as Dubois claims, she has put people on death row, her involvement in such cases would absolutely result in her called to testify. I am unaware of a single case in which she has so testified.
I still don't think that tips from a psychic would lead to testimony in court. I don't think they even get that type of tip or image or whatever. I think it's more vague in nature. For instance they wouldn't get the whole identity of the criminal. They might get a partial name or description which would provide the police with clues to investigate. Or they might 'see' landmarks in a missing person's case. Nothing real specific but yet it could be helpful.
"Tips" from a psychic is qualitatively different from a psychic "consultant" to law enforcement who actively solves capital murder cases and finds missing persons. "Consultant" indicates much greater involvement; in fact, she says herself that she has "put people on death row". That type of person would/could be called to the stand. This indicates a problem with her credibility, integrity, and propensity for truthfulness if her claims are untrue.
tif whether or not you believe in the psychic powers of others, do you acquiesce to the fact that many police agencies do indeed use psychic mediums to help solve crimes and find missing persons?
No, I don't at all. I do not believe that many police agencies use such sham artists. I'm sure that in some rare cases it has happened. There is nothing in any credible literature I've ever read to suggest that any crime anywhere has ever been "solved" by a psychic. Most of the time, the pyschic refuses to provide the name of the police agency. When they do, they are almost always called out of it; like in this present case. So no, I don't believe (in the US anyway) that this is case.
You've been busy on here. It's going to take me awhile to reply to all of these but that doesn't mean I'm avoiding your questions. Which by the way, you have been asking a lot of good ones and you've made a lot of good points too. I wish these replies would come in right under each comment, it would make more sense.
I did a little searching and found that it isn't all that uncommon for police in both the US and Britain to use psychics. Have you ever watched Psychic Detectives?
This thing is driving me nuts! It's not letting me post my comment. It says I'm trying to post a URL or a website when I'm not! Have you had that problem? I hope it will post this comment. Here goes nothing...
Well that went, let me try my other comment again. Nope! I'll try changing some wording.
I haven't seen the program I mentioned before. We don't have cable but I see you can find clips on this website. I'm going to watch some when I get the chance. I'm hoping there will be names of police agencies that use psychics on it. That might give us some answers.
The core question remains to be answered. Did Dubois lie about her alleged involvement with the US Border Police, the Tx Rangers, and the Glendale Police Dept. None of these agencies have verified her claim. She removed the names of these and all other police agencies for whom she has "consulted" from her website. She has never once, ever, given the name of a case or missing persons case she has "solved" for the police. There is a serious, serious credibility problem here.
Your core question does remain unanswered. I don't have the answer. But that doesn't mean she is a liar. There could be many legitimate reasons why she hasn't named the cases or people. I admit it would be a lot more believable if she could name names that could be checked out for validity.
I'm sure, however, that these psychic con men want you to believe they consult for law enforcement. In fact, the likes of Dubois, Browne, and Altea claim quite regularly that they do so. Despite the fact that it just isn't true, believers latch onto this as proof of the individual psychics powers. A show like "Medium" is the result of this type of con. It helps to reinforce the law enforcement consultant myth.
I'm not fond of Browne. I have never heard of Altea.
There are all kinds of things on TV. "CSI" is about as silly as they come. But it's out there for entertainment purposes just as "Medium" is. People are people and many will believe anything they see. That's their business.
Search this clip: Patricia Arquette (Medium) - Allison DuBois Interview PART 3. In it, she states that she looks through the eyes of serial killers and gets into her head by means of something called a "head-tap". She also claims that she does this for police and as a jury consultant. What are the names of these alleged serial killers? Give us the names and how she "solved the case". She never will because it's all bullshit.
I still haven't finished replying to your other comments and you're already back hitting me with more!
I have watched that clip about the head-tapping. I've done that myself a few times only I bang my head against the wall. ; ) Once again, I can't prove she can actually do something like that. So far I think we're at a stalemate. You can't prove she is lying and I can't prove she's telling the truth. But I think it's an interesting discussion nonetheless.
Except that I have shown you proof that she is a liar. We went over that; no law enforcement agencies have backed her claims, ever. So examine her abilities in light of that.
"Tiffany88" - Allison predicted the passing of my mother, less than 12 hours before that greatest loss of my life. Put that in your pipe and sit on it!
tjfnee88 After playing catch-up and reading this lively debate, a question comes to mind. Do you always attempt to sway poeple to your way of thinking no matter the subject? For instance, would you enter a church of a denomination other than your own, and attempt to convince everyone to swing to your beliefs?
muddiebabiez - Good question. But I'd be willing to bet that "tiffany88" will ignore you. She, he, whatever, is very tunnel-visioned and sticks to his campaign against Allison. Keep trying though:O)
The sad thing sillyfurby (a name which describes you accurately) is that you are, in fact, the subject of your own accusations. You are so deluded into blindly believing that you cannot and will not consider Dubois from the position of her overall credibility. You are not willing to entertain the notion that Dubois' claims may not stack up as she represents them. If anyone is credulous and myopic, it is you.
"Tiffany88" - Gee, you might actually know what a Furby is! Chalk yourself up a brownie point, if that guess is correct. If Allison is not what she claims, how did she know my mother was on the verge of passing? She had never, ever met my mother! Allison does not know me. I had not said one word to her, and yet she knew what was in the immediate future. Myopic? What are you, an eye doctor?
I'm not raising a question of belief, I'm raising a question of fact. The question is simple: for which agencies exactly did Dubois "solve" murders and missing persons cases as Dubois herself has claimed and for which an entire (crummy) TV series was developed? The only evidence I have uncovered so far are agencies she claimed to have done this for saying that she was not involved with them in any capacity as a psychic.
She is a pretty lady but I don't know if that factors into her success as a medium. I would have to venture to guess that most people who would consult a medium are women. Speaking as a woman myself, I really wouldn't care what she looked like if I were seeking a reading with a medium. As long as she wasn't dirty and didn't smell it wouldn't matter what her physical attributes were.
Now if I were going to a guy medium then, based on looks, I would prefer John Edward to James Van Praagh. However, if I felt one had more psychic ability than the other I would make my decision based on that ability.
I think we actually have several "core" questions in this discussion. The first being, does psychic ability even exist? Then if so, do police agencies use psychic mediums and with what success? And thirdly, if psychic ability does exist, does Allison possess that ability?
Shes awesome// :):)

I'd love to get her book....then wipe my ass with it!

Masmosaic1 1 year ago
Go to THE TRUTH ABOUT PSYCHIC DETECTIVES by Benjamin Radford here on Youtube. Allison Dubois has NEVER been hired by the Texas Rangers or Glendale Polce to solve any cases. She continues to line her pockets with MONEY from desperate parents. At one time she was an intern at a D.A.'s office and wanted to become a lawyer. Now, she writes science fiction...NBC pulled information about her in reference to the show "Medium" because her claims are false. Camille & Kelsey Grammer produce the show!
TheNova1960 1 year ago
I never watched her except on the Real Housewives of BeverlyHills. Now that was crazy.

Alison Dubois is the worst kind of human being. A compassionless, money driven, self-righteous hypocrite.

Lanthiriel 4 years ago
HA! Yeah, I didn't get where tif was coming from with the quack remark. It didn't make sense but then I shouldn't find that surprising considering the source. Nor do I understand muddie's defense of him. Lanthiriel I replied to your message. Happy Firecracker Day to you too!
mipian 4 years ago
Hi Mipian,
He is referring to his belief that those of us who like Allison are quacks, ie nutcases. It's the wrong usage of the word, mind you, but that is what he meant. (I am a nutcase, by the way, just don't tell anyone! Shhhh.)
Lanthiriel 4 years ago
Lanthiriel, maybe tjfnee doesn't believe Allison is honest because he is psychotic. You know, able to do medium stuff, but what he does doesn't work very well. So he picks on her. He really should research the Bible to find peace.
muddiebabiez 4 years ago
Hello Muddie!
Lol! Umm, did you mean pyschic instead of psychotic? Freudian slip? It's okay! I can't help but find the humor in it!! Thanks for answering my question---it sounds like you have a good heart. :)
Lanthiriel 4 years ago
Lanthiriel - I was also wondering if Muddie committed a Freudian slip. Either way, what she said is hysterical. Muddie, sorry if that offends you, I honestly don't mean it that way. It's just that "Tiffany88" deserves to be tagged a psychotic (nut-case).
sillyfurby 4 years ago
tjfnee you are a foul mouthed, ignorant fool. You base everything you say on conjecture. You have no clue what logic is and your lame comments prove it. You seem to think you are of high intelligence but the only person you are fooling with that assumption is yourself. Based on your comments I would have to say you have serious issues with women. You're creeping me out.
mipian 4 years ago
And I'll say it again, one more time, if you don't start acting like a civilized human being I will delete your garbage and block you from posting on here. So how do you like them apples?
mipian 4 years ago
Do what you like, I don't give two shits. I won't change the fact that dubious is a fraud and you're an idiot for believing in her. Your gullability will continue.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
"tiffany88" - Allison was under close study at the University of Arizona for many years. It was proved there that she is what she claims. You, on the other hand, could be proved to be an idiot in mere seconds.
sillyfurby 4 years ago
I don't know about logic huh? Yet you have nothing to refute what I say. Funny you should mention conjection because that is all you have ever offered. I have serious issues with fraud, which is the bread and butter of dubious and people like her. I also have zero respect for silly housewives who fantasize about being police detectives because their own failed, unfulfilling lives make them wish for so much more.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
tjfnee you are one to talk about unfulfilled lives. You have enormous issues. I don't know what ever happened in your life to make you have such disdain for women but you seriously need to get a handle on it. You not only have zero respect of housewives you have zero respect for women in general. Why do you hate women?
mipian 4 years ago
Yep, more assumptions from mipian. I have no hatred for women. What I cannot stand is women (or men like John Edwards) who are frauds. I also don't like preachy, do nothing housewives who get onto our schoolboards and start insisting on preaching in public schools, teaching creationism as science, and advocating "mediums" to understand the truth of the universe. Mysticsm and supersition is the lazy person's way out; try actually attending college and making something of yourself.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
tjfnee what do you have against John Edwards? I think he would make a fine president.
mipian 4 years ago
Hhaha, very funny. As if you don't know the John Edwards I'm talking about; the famed fraud act John Edwards who talks to the dead (crossing over). Go ahead, deny you knew what I was talking about. Anyway, you housewives have fun. Dream about all the things you wanted to do with your lives before ending up sitting at home all day strapped down with a bunch of brat kids. Continue believing in fraud. It is useless to continue any form of discussion with you quacks.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
Ohhhh, you mean John Edward, no "s" on the end.
mipian 4 years ago
tjfnee poor lost little man. You are so off base about me and my life. But that's no surprise since you are off base about everything else as well.
mipian 4 years ago
tjfnee as far as having kids goes, I certainly hope you don't reproduce. The gene pool doesn't need anything in it that you have to offer. And I'm sure the only way a woman would become impregnated with your child would be through a violent act on your part.
mipian 4 years ago
"tiffany88" - Coward!
sillyfurby 4 years ago
tjfnee, I've read where that sillyfurby person called you a coward. Do not listen to that nonsense. No one should judge you. Only God has the right to judge. I am sure if you pray hard enough, the answer about Allison will be revealed to you.

Despite this she then offered no explanation as to where the body was or what they had done with it, nor has she ever.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
In May 2006, Guido Wever was arrested and indicted for the murder and disappearance of Natalee Holloway. He is, as of today, the only person under indictment for the alleged crime. He was not in the picture to which allison dubious referred, nor was he a suspect at the time of the MSNBC interview. He was released on bail but remains under indictment and investigation. Dutch authorities expect an update in the case before Dec. So much for "head taping".
tjfnee88 4 years ago
tjf it would be helpful if you would let us know who you are replying to since the replies don't come in under the comments. I think the one about having proven Allison is a liar is for me. And no, you have proven nothing of the sort. We have been over this. Just because the agencies hedge on it doesn't mean she hasn't helped them. Saying they do not recall is not a definitive answer.
mipian 4 years ago
tjf does Rocker have a point? Is there some kind of history between you and Allison? Unrequited love perhaps? Stranger things have happened. For somebody who doesn't believe in what she does you sure do seem to be obsessed with her.
mipian 4 years ago
"Tiffany88" You are so dead set against Allison, that I have to wonder if you are afraid of her? What have you got to hide, that you are so determined to discredit her? As for the Police not admitting to having Allison's help, how do you know that? Do you really expect them to broadcast everything? Sheesh, what a dummy!!!
sillyfurby 4 years ago
Are you out of your mind? You think because I call into question the veracity of her claims that I am "obsessed" or have some romantic inclination? I could care less about Dubois and have no desire to ever meet her or correspond with her in any way. What I am interested in is whether she can do what she claims; because if she can, it would the single most important scientific discovery to date. When you dig into her however, you find that most of her claims don't hold water.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
tjf you have no more proof that she is a liar than I have that she isn't. Just because police agencies hedged on their answers doesn't mean she didn't work with them. They do have to be careful because some people, like you, would rake them over the coals simply because it is not your belief that psychic powers exist. Unless we get some new information about her we are at a stalemate.
mipian 4 years ago
However, not all agencies give a rat's ass what people like you think about using a psychic. I suggested we look into the Psychic Detective program or YT clips to see if it shows them working together, naming agencies, or showing police officers. I have not had the time yet myself to look at the YT clips but I spoke with somebody who watches the program and they do show psychics and police agencies working together.
mipian 4 years ago
Well you're wrong. I have provided you proof that she did not work for the police agencies she claimed; here more proof quoted: Lisa Block, spokesperson for the Texas Department of Public Safety, says that "The Texas Rangers have not worked with Allison DuBois or any other psychics." (02/05) Read it here: prweb(dot)com/releases/2005/2/prweb202967(dot)htm. No "hedging" there but a definitive statement.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
Yes, of course they said that. Like Mipian has been saying/typing so often I'm surprised she hasn't resorted to cut and paste, if the agencies involved ever said otherwise, they'd be rip to shreds.
Lanthiriel 4 years ago
I should metion, however, that in fairness you have yet to offer any evidence, proof, or otherwise that Dubois has ever worked on these cases as she claims. You now don't seem even to want to acknowledge that she has claimed to work on these cases for any specific agency. I have offered my proof, where is yours?
tjfnee88 4 years ago
And the Glendale statement was a complete hedge.
mipian 4 years ago
Uhh, yeah it is proof. You think the spokeperson would say something without checking the facts first; it's only her job. You are really stretching the outer edges of belief at this point. Her alleged involvement was much publicized by the TV series; the first episode that aired was specifically about the Tx Ranger case. In your opinion, however, the Tx Ranger spokesperson doesn't have a clue what's going on though; that's why they made her the spokesperson I guess.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
They also say their statements are opinion.
mipian 4 years ago
Your argument becomes even sillier when you try to use the TV drama as some kind of evidence that you are correct. For goodness sakes, it's a TV drama! It isn't a documentary. It's fiction. Do you believe that every TV drama is passed off as fact? You have no proof, no credibility, and no game.
mipian 4 years ago
Did you know that Paula Zahn of CNN interviewed Allison? And that a Tarrant County sheriff's office employee confirmed that Allison did assist the TX Rangers. Sergeant Bobby Adabere told CNN that he met with Allison and it was the Texas Rangers that put him in contact with her.
mipian 4 years ago
Zahn also said they spoke with a well-placed law enforcement official in Phx who said Allison's info had helped on at least 6 cases. She told Zahn "DuBois has been specific enough in details that it seems impossible that she would know this information any other way." That well-placed law enforcement official was not allowed by her employer to reveal her identity. Gee, imagine that. A police agency not allowing an employee to reveal her name. And it's because of people like you!
mipian 4 years ago
mipian - Don't you get it? "Tiffany88" most certainly does believe what he sees on the boob tube. As proof, he is treating the real life of Allison D., as a soap opera. Is he determined to dream up his own script?
sillyfurby 4 years ago
Of course you're assuming this woman is good at her job!!
Lanthiriel 4 years ago
And I specifically told you that I ALSO have no proof that Allison worked with those agencies. Like I said before, it's a he said, she said situation. And where did you ever get the idea that I don't acknowledge that she claimed she worked with those agencies? Especially since I have been saying all along it's a he said, she said deal. And as for your "proof"...it sucks. You have proven nothing except that you don't pay attention to what people say.
mipian 4 years ago
It's not a question of he said she said. It's a question of two public agencies issuing official denials to interested news media and her then shutting up. That is more like, "she said, they denied, she stopped using their names." Whether you choose to agree, to a logical mind the below is proof offered and tends to count against her credibility. The Tx Rangers do not suffer from a lack of credibility and an official statement can be relied upon.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
tjfnee88 Dubois merely stopped using their names because she was following their lead. It is stupid to broadcast every detail of a case. It compares to issuing statements of military tactics to the enemy. I have a gut feeling you believe what the public was told concerning the terrorist attack on 911. You see what you want to see, and you hear what you want to hear.
muddiebabiez 4 years ago
"Tiffany88" - The Tx Rangers are supposed to be big tough men. Perhaps their credibility slips a mite when it comes to admitting that a woman had to help them solve cases? Sheesh, I hope you aren't backing off here for similar reasons.
sillyfurby 4 years ago
You seem stuck on only seeing one reason and one reason alone why Allison would remove the agency's names. There are other possibilites, such as Allison not wanting to cause any trouble for the agencies she assisted.
Lanthiriel 4 years ago
mipian - It appears as if "Tiffany88" has backed down and will no longer be participating in this discussion. Is tiffy researching? Or did he just realize he couldn't prove his point?
sillyfurby 4 years ago
He probably researched only to find it proved our point.
mipian 4 years ago
Hi Mipian. You know, I really respect the fact that you put up with all the abuse and annoyances, when you could just as easily hit the old delete button. Shows strength and integrity. I don't think I would have been as patient. :)
Lanthiriel 4 years ago
Hi Lanthiriel, thank you for your kind words. I must admit I was very tempted to hit the delete button on several occasions but only resorted to it once when tjfnee went well over the line of decency. I figured if I gave him enough rope he would hang himself. :) I think he showed his true colors with his childish vocabulary and lack of logic.
mipian 4 years ago
Your idea certainly worked!! :)
You know the older I get, the more I am aware of the fact that there are many things in our reality that we just do not know about or do not understand yet. Scientists are continuely making new discoveries that negate former conclusions thay have made about the nature of reality. "hard evidence" is in the eye of the beholder, . . .
Lanthiriel 4 years ago
. . .and there are things that exist that do not, by their nature, produce measureable hard evidence, at least not measurable by the equipment we have available to us in this present day.
Lanthiriel 4 years ago
Lanthiriel We sure seem to be on the same page when it comes to this topic. I so agree with you that there is far more out there than what meets the eye. It wasn't that long ago that people believed the world was flat. They had no way to prove it otherwise. But they were wrong. I hope one day in the near future there will be the technology to prove the existence of spirits or other dimensions or whatever secrets the universe holds.
mipian 4 years ago
Well it looks like tjfnee crawled back out from under his rock. I will be deleting his last vulgar comment but I wanted you to see it in case you wanted to reply to it. After I know you have read it, it will be history. I'm tired of warning this pervert about his language. Obviously he has nothing intelligent to say and that's why he resorts to vulgarities. I find it ironic that he accuses somebody of being a liar while using dubious baseless drivel as "proof".
mipian 4 years ago
Funny you should talk about logic; a discipline of which you have zero knowledge. Guess it's hard for you to get a proper education living in the trailer. How's you job at the supermarket checkout counter going? Little good all your belief in dubious has done you.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
Hey moron, do you support capital punishment?
tjfnee88 4 years ago
tjfnee if you want somebody to answer your question about capital punishment I suggest you address them by their name since you appear to be the only moron on here and I don't think even you were that stupid as to ask yourself a question. But then again...
mipian 4 years ago
do you or do you not support capital punishment? Why avoid the question? If you can insult me, I can insult you, it's that simple. Besides, moron should not be taken as an insult against you; it is an accurate description, like calling you an overfed housewife, which is also true.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
tjfnee you have to address the person to whom you are asking the question. There are several people who comment on here.
mipian 4 years ago
Uhh, duhh, you're the one I've responded to several times; and the question I also asked to both you and the other nutter by responding to your individual posts specifically. Don't play games, just answer. Do you or do you not support capital punishment? Or are you afraid to answer for some reason? I'll tell you flat out that I oppose capital punishment. Your turn, answer.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
First of all I'm not afraid to answer your question. Why would I be? That's just silly. I have a lot of problems with capital punishment. One problem is that it's not always the right person who gets executed. If just one innocent person is executed, and there have been many, then it isn't worth doing. Also, it is very barbaric. It's also very expensive. That being said, if one of my loved ones was murdered I wouldn't want the offender to take one more breath.
mipian 4 years ago
So you're against one of the main principles that Dubious stand for. She is a proponent of capital punishment. Also, for you, yesterday doesn't even register on your timeline; either that, or what you really mean in your earlier posts by "wasn't that long ago" was the Renaissance or Reformation eras. You felt unsure of yourself and then started talking about BC. By the way, you should study history; people in BC knew well enough that the world was round.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
Not all cultures believed the world was round.
And what difference does it make if Allison believes in capital punishment and I have my doubts about it? There is no logic in your argument. She may have a different opinion on whether or not we should have invaded Iraq. Or what flavor of ice cream is best. So what? What does that have to do with whether or not she has psychic ability?
mipian 4 years ago
The universe is loaded with things that we have no knowledge of as yet. That doesn't mean they don't exist.
mipian 4 years ago
Hmm, if there are things "we have no knowledge of as yet", then that means no one has experienced them. Logically, that means we cannot identify any of these things. It further means that your statement lacks any sort of logical cohesion and is complete nonesense. You cannot claim something exists that has yet to be shown to exist through proof. If you do, you are backwards or, more appropriately put, retarded.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
tijfnee are you saying that everything has already been discovered? That there is nothing that mankind does not know of yet? You are so very arrogant and so very ignorant. You have a right to your own opinions and beliefs but not your own facts.
mipian 4 years ago
Well, once again, 6th grade education comes shinning through. You cannot even identify a classical point of contention between competing philosophical positions; for instance materialism versus quantum string theory. Are you a new age quantum adherant? I'm sure you're into "the secret" etc as dubious and her idiot followers are; do you believe in the new age quantum approach or some other? Depending upon your belief, that will answer the question. What is it?
tjfnee88 4 years ago
I'm not "into" any of those boxes you're trying to paint me into. A theory is just that, a theory. You're so busy trying to tell me what I'm thinking and what I'm about that you're whole concept of a point of contention is flawed.
mipian 4 years ago
Let's go back to your words: "The universe is loaded with things that we have no knowledge of as yet." Do you know what the existential fallacy is in logic? Look it up. Even though you did not present a syllogism, it still commits the existential fallacy because it assumes many "things" in existance that cannot be or have not been proven. The universal quality of your statement rules it out of logical validity. If you studied logic even once in your life, you would understand this.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
We already know what you're about. You're about superstition and mysticism. That is apparent in your belief in Dubious. You also believe in an afterlife; if you didn't, how could you believe in Dubious? You also have firm belief in unquantifiable "unknowns" that exist but have yet to be discovered. Nowhere, however, did I tell you what your philosophy was other than saying I'm sure you're into "the secret". I asked you what your philosophy was, and that is quite clearly represented below.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
tjfnee I don't even know what secret you're talking about but then that's probably part of your little game. I think you have a thing for Allison as a previous poster had said before. You do seem like an obsessed 'fan' or something very strange. The more you say the creepier you get.
mipian 4 years ago
You don't know the book "The Secret to Everything". You've never heard of that book? Search it on youtube. I have a thing for outing fakery and fraud; anything that is BS but presented to us as real. This is particularly the case when claiming to have "sent people to death row" and "helped" police catch real killers. I care nothing for her otherwise. What you really want is a world where no one disagrees with you.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
I think a world in which everybody agreed on everything would be a very boring world. I have told you before that I welcome opposing opinions. I don't welcome vulgarities. There are just as many vile words and names for men but I don't use them. I respect men in general and I respect myself too much to lower myself to your level.
mipian 4 years ago
That's why you continuously deleted my posts regarding your misunderstanding of a simple hypothetical? You remember, the one in which I pointed out to you that the word "if" must mean an assumption within the context of the sentence? You were completely wrong as usual and, out of great embarrassment to yourself, had to delete.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
You know damn well that isn't why I deleted that post.
mipian 4 years ago
Makes all the difference in the world. Cap punishment is qualitatively different from flavor of ice cream. How would you feel if someone you knew was sent to the gas chamber on the basis of evidence from a psychic, specifically allison dubious? You would have a real conflict then; you believe dubious can do the things she claims, yet to so believe, you must admit your friend committed the crime and suffer the consquences; consequences that you oppose philosophically.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
tijfnee that is the most ridiculous argument you have come up with in a long time. When has anybody in recent history been convicted of a crime based solely on evidence from a psychic? OMG! You are really reaching tonight. And you accuse me of being uneducated?! Sheesh!
mipian 4 years ago
Per Allison Dubious, a direct quote from a "meduim" who you believe can identify killers; "I've sent people to the electric chair." In any case, it is what is called a hypothetical question; an intellectual exercise. I wasn't suggesting a real case dummy, it's a hypothetical point of logic. That is why the word "if" is right there. In any case, if she does have this ability, why would you object to only her affirmative identification of the killer as the only proof needed?
tjfnee88 4 years ago
I like the way you back peddle. One minute you are taking everything literally but as soon as you're called on it you change it to a "hypothetical question". Nice hedge. Not worth commenting on because you just change everything around. It's the old technique of "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit". I don't feel like playing your game.
mipian 4 years ago
"Tiffany88" I wonder how long it has been since you last looked in a mirror? Or was the last time such a horrifying experience that you are too cowardly to take another peek? In other words, you do not like who you are, and have become determined to cut other people to ribbons. Yeah, I've got your number!!!
sillyfurby 4 years ago
Once again, silly strikes; she makes herself look foolish as always. You cannot present coherent arugments of any kind, so you make feeble attempts at insult. When you wake up tomorrow you'll still be a fat, bored housewife. Continue your belief in dubious, it will net you ZERO. Dubious is a scum sucking villian who proposers off the misery of others.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
"Tiffany88" I'm by no means a moron, but "yes" I am for capital punishment. Which cell on DR are you in?
sillyfurby 4 years ago
Lanthiriel I also think Sylvia Browne is a fake. I have heard her contradict herself on the radio. It had to do with that mining accident that happened awhile back. If she were on the up and up she would have just said she was wrong. It reminds me of tjfnee. They lie when the truth sounds better. They are the opposite sides of the same coin.
mipian 4 years ago
Hey Mipian,
Okay, I've read it. I'll have to admit, I couldn't help but laugh when I read it! I know it is vulgar and all, but just the sheer outrageousness was really a riot! Go ahead and delete it if you want to, I'm fine either way. :)
Lanthiriel 4 years ago
I appreciate you wanting to give everyone a fair shake, but I am concerned about how you and Sillyfurby are devoting so much time and precious energy to this conversations that seem to be so pointless. I also was stunned when I discovered the age he posted for himself, I had thought that you were dealing with a youngster.
Lanthiriel 4 years ago
Exactly when did people believe the world to be flat? And exactly how could they not prove it otherwise? Is it any wonder that those who clung to the absurd belief that the world was flat were exactly the type one would suspect; blind believing idiots. The same ones who believed in astrology, witchcraft, demons, bible bullshit, predictions, etc. I'm curious to hear from you exactly how "not" long ago was, in your infantile mind, not long ago. What century?
tjfnee88 4 years ago
There have been many cultures throughout the ages who believed the earth was flat. Not only BC but even today there is the group calling themselves The Flat Earth Society who believe the earth is flat. Then when you take into account the age of the earth even BC is not that long ago. I would suspect there were all different religious beliefs among the people who believed the earth was flat.
mipian 4 years ago
Your words, "It wasn't that long ago that people believed the world was flat. They had no way to prove it otherwise." So, you're now saying that "BC" wasn't that long ago? What people believed this and how long ago? Is it your position that this was the scientific or learned position of the people of the day at whatever time you're discussing?
tjfnee88 4 years ago
It wasn't that long ago. A couple of thousand years is nothing when you take into account how old the earth and universe are. And there are still people today who believe the earth is flat. Is that recent enough for you? It's irrelevant whether they based their belief on what they considered to be science or whether it was a learned position passed down. They didn't know any better.
mipian 4 years ago
Ok, so when you said this, "It wasn't that long ago that people believed the world was flat. They had no way to prove it otherwise,", you meant people living in "BC". What era BC? The flat earth society people today are just as nutty as you are. I'm talking about your specific allegation that recently people believe the earth to be flat and had no means to prove otherwise. When was that?
tjfnee88 4 years ago
Tijfnee I would have to venture to say that since the dawn of man and from that time forward, there have been people who believed the world was flat. So what's your point? There was also a time when people didn't know that animals were made up of living cells. I'm not going to get into a big argument over semantics.
mipian 4 years ago
My point is that belief in a flat world was not as widespread as it seems; the position that is was so widespread comes from 6th grade history books, which demonstrates the extent of your education. Finally, those who advocated for a flat earth theory prior to the 18th cent were the same people who believe in demons, witches, psychics, astrologers, predictions, etc. That should tell you something if you can grasp it.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
tijfnee the whole point is that at one time there were people who didn't know the earth was round. They didn't even know there was a North American continent. They had no way of knowing or proving such things. As humankind evolved in different areas these things became apparent. The invention of the microscope opened up a whole new world. There are still things that have yet to be discovered on the land and below the seas.
mipian 4 years ago
Wrong again. There were many ways to prove the Earth was round; these ways were specifically noted in ancient texts (mathematicians/philosophers from Greece, Persia, China, India, etc). Also, the fact that the Earth was round was well known to saliors and those involved with nautical matters also in BC. You don't know of these things because, again, you have at best a 6th grade level of education.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
"tiffany88" - You inquire as to the education of others, and yet are in ignorance of grade school history? It is in school books that there were those who believed the world was flat. They were fearful of sailing the oceans blue lest they sail right off. What'd you do, snooze through class?
sillyfurby 4 years ago
Hello again on this beautiful day!
Lanthiriel 4 years ago
Hi Lanthiriel, it is a beautiful day! On one hand I want to delete what tjfnee replied to you because it was so vulgar but on the other hand I want to leave it because it speaks volumes about his character while having nothing to do with you. I too was amazed to see what he claims his age to be. Whatever his real age is, he sure has issues with women. Somehow I'm not surprised.
mipian 4 years ago
Lanthiriel when I go back to try and find comments on here they are all scrambled, kind of like tjfnee's thought process. :D Are they out of order for you? Thanks for the tips about "dark energy". I will certainly do some searching on that subject. I have been interested in parallel dimensions. Are you familiar with EVP, Electronic Voice Phenomenon?
mipian 4 years ago
Yes, the comments are out of order for me too. And yes I am familier with EVP, though I am leery of most of it, regarding whether the samples are a sham and whether doing EVP is very wise to begin with. I feel quite a lot of it is similar to looking at clouds and seeing all sorts of forms. . . .
Lanthiriel 4 years ago
Lanthiriel I had first heard about EVP a few years ago on Coast to Coast. They played some incredible EVP and said that anybody can get them. So on a lark, my daughter and I decided to give it a try. We had no expectations. When we came home and played back our tape we were amazed that we had actually gotten something on it that we had no explanation for. I was skeptical because like you, nobody I knew personally had done it and I don't just trust things I hear on the radio.
mipian 4 years ago
When we actually were able to capture something that we could not explain on tape we were very surprised. I would like you to hear it and see what you think. We have gone out since the first time and were successful on only a couple more occasions. I'm glad we got something on our first try or we probably wouldn't have bothered with it again. Patience is the key. But if you would like to hear this, it's only a few seconds long, let me know and I will PM you with the address.
mipian 4 years ago
Hi Mipian,
Oh sure---go ahead and e-me the address, I can't resist!! :)
By the way, I still can't get over how many posts are on here since I first visited.
Lanthiriel 4 years ago
Lanthiriel I sent you the link. I hope it works. Let me know what you think. ;)
mipian 4 years ago
Now I believe the universe is unlimited, yet as far as EVP goes, I would have to listen to a sample made by someone I personally know and trust. I must admit though, the fellas in Ghost Hunters have collected a few compelling samples. Hmmm, upon reflection I realise I'm still on the fence.
Lanthiriel 4 years ago
Oh, and speaking of mistakened beliefs, ie. the earth is flat, it wasn't too long ago scientists believed in something they called "The Ether", a substance they felt filled outer space. It was while conducting experiments to measure ether, that the data, to their surprise, ended up proving ether didn't even exist! I always got a kick out of that story!
Lanthiriel 4 years ago
Lanthiriel I would also like to say that my mother died unexpectedly within 6 hours of the book signing. So this subject is very sensitive to me. I was really glad I had attended the signing because being able to reflect back on the things Allison said gave me a lot of comfort and helped me cope with my loss.
mipian 4 years ago
Oh Mipian, I am *so* sorry you had to deal with such a loss so unexpectedly. It is amazing timing that you were able to attend the signing, sounds like the universe was trying its best to take care of your needs.
Lanthiriel 4 years ago
I feel Allison is unique compared to others in her field who are in the spotlight. She is so down to earth, unlike folks like Sylvia Browne who leave a bad taste in my mouth. I have nothing good to say about her and many others who I sincerely believe *are* fakes.
Lanthiriel 4 years ago
Oh look, another uneducated, white trash trailer park cunny slob makes a series of uninformed, ridiculous statements. Looks like you're a "wiccan" too; a member of a religion created in the 20th cent by lesbo nut jobs. Too bad for you Allison Dubious refers to god as a "he" and claims to be a devout christian. Oh, by the way, do you support capital punishment weirdo?
tjfnee88 4 years ago
"tiffany88" - Gee, I wonder how much barbed wire it would take to embroider your big mouth shut?
sillyfurby 4 years ago
tiff, I'm about sick and tired of your foul comments. I told you a long time ago I won't put up with it. This website can be viewed by all ages and because I have too much respect for myself as well as those who might read this, I'm not going to tolerate that kind of language from you anymore. If you can carry on an adult conversation I will leave your comments up. I feel sorry for you but your own personal problems are not my problems.
mipian 4 years ago
So, you're not required to worry about being offensive, only I am? Just answer the core question and forget everything else. Why did Alison Dubois lie about solving cases for both the US Border Patrol and the Glendale Police Department? Can you answer that please or will you avoid it again?
tjfnee88 4 years ago
tif first of all if I felt the disdain for somebody that you apparently feel for me, I just wouldn't bother talking to them. I certainly wouldn't lower myself to the use of inappropriate language on the level you used towards me. Life is too short. If you hate me that much do your blood pressure a favor and don't even get involved in this conversation. That being said, had somebody else used the same language on you as you used towards me, I would have deleted their message as well.
mipian 4 years ago
tif I have not seen any proof that Allison lied about the BP or the Glendale PD. That wouldn't hold up in court.
mipian 4 years ago
So you're saying that the US Border Patrol and the Glendale Police Department lied when they said Dubois never once solved any case for them? According to you, these agencies have a policy of knowingly lying to the public? Try this for starters idiot: abc(dot)net(dot)au/science/ks/moments/s1883787(dot)htm
article by Karl S. Kruszelnicki.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
tif I'm not saying they lied exactly, the term hedged would be more appropriate. It's a way to cover one's ass.
mipian 4 years ago
"Does not recall" doesn't sound anything like a hedge to me. It's not a vague denial either. The real telling fact here is that these claims (US Border Patrol, Texas Rangers, Glendale PD) used to be listed prominently on her website. She has since removed them and replaced them with "assistance to law enforcement"; unnamed. Why is that I wonder? Because she got caught in a lie.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
police and law enforcement cannot claim to ahve used a psychic or else nothing will hold up in court-they deny it for legal issues. but yup she really is used.
SailingDream 4 years ago
Hi SailingDream you have a very interesting bio. I don't have the "gift" myself and I'm not sure I would want it. It must be difficult for you at times. I agree that it's sad that some people are so mean and that they don't even realize it. Don't let them discourage you.
mipian 4 years ago
Yes, it is difficult to havethis sight-but it is also wonderful-I hope to get some of my personal stories on youtube in the next few days or so.
SailingDream 4 years ago
Yes, I can see where it would have many benefits as well. I will be watching for you personal stories. Have you ever tried to get any EVP?
mipian 4 years ago
naw, i don't do evp stuff, or anything like "ghost hunting"
but I get spirits in my photos a lot. :)
SailingDream 4 years ago
Spirits in photos...wow...i just seem them sitting next to me...walking around...i hate cemeteries they like mob ya...the good thing is i never feel lonely or alone because there is always someone there for me whether it be my guides or just some person wanting to reach me (i'm new to this whole thing...i supressed this for 10yrs believing that my parents telling me it was a dream were right..but they werent)
halliwellgirlatheart 3 years ago
halliwell my daughter and I sometimes go to cemeteries to do a little "ghost hunting". We have gotten a few EVP but lately we haven't gotten a thing. I wish you could come with us, maybe you could stir something up that we could capture on tape. Do you have any advice for us that might help the next time we go?
mipian 3 years ago
Like i've said im new to the whole thing...and im only 17 but like Allison says...they're there even if we cant see them...just talk to them....maybe even ask them to stand by that tree and pose...they tend to like being wanted...your braver than me...i dont like cemeteries...not because of it being "Spooky" it just gets hard to tell who is alive and whose not...I feel no need for going to a cemetery as our loved ones are always with us...or watching over us.
halliwellgirlatheart 3 years ago
halliwell if I had the experiences that you do I wouldn't feel the need to go ghost hunting in cemeteries. As it is, I am trying to prove their existence to myself by capturing EVP or readings on an EMF meter.
mipian 3 years ago
tif it's easy to find websites to back up claims. But then, Fox viewers don't really care about the truth.
mipian 4 years ago
Your position is then that these agencies are liars? That Dubois did, in fact, work for them and solved cases for them, but out of embarrassment they lied and covered up the truth? I could give two shits about faux news or any other news service for that matter. Just answer the question, do you believe she lied when she said she solved missing persons cases for those specific agencies?
tjfnee88 4 years ago
tif first of all I said I would not say the agencies lied.
To be continued...
mipian 4 years ago
I would have to see, in context, where she states that she has solved missing persons cases in order to give you my opinion as to whether or not I feel she is being truthful. I'm not trying to hedge! I just don't want to base my opinion on hearsay. And I stress the words "my opinion" because neither of us has had proven facts provided to us. We all have a right to our own opinions but not our own facts. I'm sure that's something we can agree on.
mipian 4 years ago
Now about her web page, I just looked at it and apparently it has been changed again because I didn't see anything like what you said was on it. It is very common for websites to be changed and updated. It's done all the time. That does not mean that if something doesn't appear on the updated version that it was a lie. Goodness sakes, the sites would continue to grow and grow to the point of being silly.
By the way, it's nice to have a discussion without the name calling.
mipian 4 years ago
Well, if it wasn't a lie, don't you think that a resume including consulting as a psychic for those specific agencies would lend her credibility? It doesn't strike you in the least bit suspicious that these things were claimed on her website at the start of the show "Medium" but were later taken down? She still claims to consult for police forces and DA's, but she's not willing to tell us which ones. That doesn't strike you as odd?
tjfnee88 4 years ago
Absolutely I think a resume including consulting for police agencies would lend her credibility. I don't see how anybody could disagree with you on that score. I don't know how suspicious it is that her website has changed though. If they don't change it every now and then, who would bother to go back to it? She may have made an agreement with the agencies she is with now that she wouldn't divulge their identities. Or perhaps she is reticent to name them due to past experience.
mipian 4 years ago
Finally, one very, very important point. Her involvement in any criminal case as a psychic is nothing more than cannon fodder for the defense. A defense lawyer is going to find this out and have a field day with it. To deny that she was so consulted could have serious legal consequences for police departments; particularly in cases where she claimed to have "put people on death row". Missing persons cases would also require the police to divulge this if asked.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
Bingo to the cannon fodder statement you made. And a defense attorney would make a laughing stock out of the whole psychic medium thing because many people don't buy into it or are afraid to admit in public that they do for fear of ridicule. There are a lot of charlatans out there. Especially when it comes to something that can't be scientifically proven, at least not at this time. I am skeptical. I feel the same way about religion. I would love nothing more than scientific proof.
mipian 4 years ago
As to whether or not her help with the police agencies would have to be divulged goes, I think it would depend on how it was handled and just what form of help she is giving. For instance if somebody calls into Silent Witness with tips, they never have to be named. The police just take the tips and use them in whatever way they can to solve a crime. A perfectly good case can be made without divulging every witness. Probably just depends on the circumstances of each individual case.
mipian 4 years ago

This indicates a problem with her credibility, integrity, and propensity for truthfulness if her claims are untrue.

tif whether or not you believe in the psychic powers of others, do you acquiesce to the fact that many police agencies do indeed use psychic mediums to help solve crimes and find missing persons?
mipian 4 years ago

Here goes nothing...
mipian 4 years ago
Well that went, let me try my other comment again. Nope! I'll try changing some wording.
I haven't seen the program I mentioned before. We don't have cable but I see you can find clips on this website. I'm going to watch some when I get the chance. I'm hoping there will be names of police agencies that use psychics on it. That might give us some answers.
mipian 4 years ago
The core question remains to be answered. Did Dubois lie about her alleged involvement with the US Border Police, the Tx Rangers, and the Glendale Police Dept. None of these agencies have verified her claim. She removed the names of these and all other police agencies for whom she has "consulted" from her website. She has never once, ever, given the name of a case or missing persons case she has "solved" for the police. There is a serious, serious credibility problem here.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
Your core question does remain unanswered. I don't have the answer. But that doesn't mean she is a liar. There could be many legitimate reasons why she hasn't named the cases or people. I admit it would be a lot more believable if she could name names that could be checked out for validity.
mipian 4 years ago
I'm sure, however, that these psychic con men want you to believe they consult for law enforcement. In fact, the likes of Dubois, Browne, and Altea claim quite regularly that they do so. Despite the fact that it just isn't true, believers latch onto this as proof of the individual psychics powers. A show like "Medium" is the result of this type of con. It helps to reinforce the law enforcement consultant myth.
tjfnee88 4 years ago

She never will because it's all bullshit.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
I still haven't finished replying to your other comments and you're already back hitting me with more!
I have watched that clip about the head-tapping. I've done that myself a few times only I bang my head against the wall. ; ) Once again, I can't prove she can actually do something like that. So far I think we're at a stalemate. You can't prove she is lying and I can't prove she's telling the truth. But I think it's an interesting discussion nonetheless.
mipian 4 years ago
Except that I have shown you proof that she is a liar. We went over that; no law enforcement agencies have backed her claims, ever. So examine her abilities in light of that.

"Tiffany88" - Allison predicted the passing of my mother, less than 12 hours before that greatest loss of my life. Put that in your pipe and sit on it!

YOU GO SILLYFURBY!!

I intend to, and hope you do the same. "Tiffany88" is narrowminded. He needs help in finding the truth.

tjfnee88 After playing catch-up and reading this lively debate, a question comes to mind. Do you always attempt to sway poeple to your way of thinking no matter the subject? For instance, would you enter a church of a denomination other than your own, and attempt to convince everyone to swing to your beliefs?
muddiebabiez 4 years ago
muddiebabiez - Good question. But I'd be willing to bet that "tiffany88" will ignore you. She, he, whatever, is very tunnel-visioned and sticks to his campaign against Allison. Keep trying though:O)
sillyfurby 4 years ago
The sad thing sillyfurby (a name which describes you accurately) is that you are, in fact, the subject of your own accusations. You are so deluded into blindly believing that you cannot and will not consider Dubois from the position of her overall credibility. You are not willing to entertain the notion that Dubois' claims may not stack up as she represents them. If anyone is credulous and myopic, it is you.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
"Tiffany88" - Gee, you might actually know what a Furby is! Chalk yourself up a brownie point, if that guess is correct. If Allison is not what she claims, how did she know my mother was on the verge of passing? She had never, ever met my mother! Allison does not know me. I had not said one word to her, and yet she knew what was in the immediate future. Myopic? What are you, an eye doctor?
sillyfurby 4 years ago
I'm not raising a question of belief, I'm raising a question of fact. The question is simple: for which agencies exactly did Dubois "solve" murders and missing persons cases as Dubois herself has claimed and for which an entire (crummy) TV series was developed? The only evidence I have uncovered so far are agencies she claimed to have done this for saying that she was not involved with them in any capacity as a psychic.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
She's out to make a buck, and because she has zero talent of any kind, she defaults to fraud and cashing in on good looks. Sad but true.
tjfnee88 4 years ago
She is a pretty lady but I don't know if that factors into her success as a medium. I would have to venture to guess that most people who would consult a medium are women. Speaking as a woman myself, I really wouldn't care what she looked like if I were seeking a reading with a medium. As long as she wasn't dirty and didn't smell it wouldn't matter what her physical attributes were.
mipian 4 years ago
Now if I were going to a guy medium then, based on looks, I would prefer John Edward to James Van Praagh. However, if I felt one had more psychic ability than the other I would make my decision based on that ability.
mipian 4 years ago
I think we actually have several "core" questions in this discussion. The first being, does psychic ability even exist? Then if so, do police agencies use psychic mediums and with what success? And thirdly, if psychic ability does exist, does Allison possess that ability?
