  • @Hobbymaster1000 Actually, according to the patent this uses an LED and a light source that act as a solid state switch which rapidly turns the horn on and off in the same way as older mechanical horns. The trade-off is there's one less moving part and so the horn will last a lot longer. Many Simplex 4903 mechanical horns are still installed and functional.
