is THIS THE EXACT SAME AS THE snes VERSION? Or do they have different lvls? Which one is better, I would assume the snes would be the better version but never played the snes version before..
@duhmez The Snes game is the sequel to this. In many ways the Snes is superior but I this one is still my favourite in the series because you can shoot up and down.
@pUnKrOcKnINjAgAmEr Me too, the other versions were either too long or too hard plus having the ability to shoot in four directions in this version really helps.
I've played only Super Ghouls'n Ghosts (or something like that). There is no guillotine but I did enjoy playing the game, twice in fact to see the real ending.
i always loved this game but was hopeless at it. used to play ghouls and goblins on the atari ST too

@LUNAPOLICE I seen the Atari ST version before and it doesn't look too bad.

The TG16 and the SNES ones are insanely difficult.

@bigolebadassbob ohya, sadly I don't know any GnG games that are not brutal as hell.

This is the only capcom ghouls/ghosts etc game I can complete. I have it on the virtual console now. Pretty fun game.

@sethkowns Really, the NES version is good but it looks so choppy at times.

Sega did a pretty good job.

Yeah, I surprised too since a lot of Sega's own games like Space Harrier II and Super Thunder Blade look like crap.

@JasonRelaxation Surprisingly no dude, there is review by AVGN Hack guy that doesn't like Ghosts N Goblins because it's too hard.

@newcoleco I always thought that was mean how these games sent you back to the beginning again, eh?
starsoldier1 2 years ago
Well, the game is so tough, I don't want to try again to beat it. Once was enough for me.
But, nice reviews with nostalgia!
