  • He is at rest. The rest we all enjoyed before birth.

  • he isnt `resting` anywhere!! He would laugh at peoples `Rest in peace` comments.

  • Its really sad to die without a savior. I hope he accepted Jesus before his death. praying for his family

  • @pianoman010990

If you were to say that to his face, he would reply 'dont speak to me in that tone of voice,' meaning (among other things) he refuses to accept your pompous assertion that you know something, and you don't.

    you're an ass.

  • @flithern I will pray for you too. I never asserted anything. He claimed himself he had no need for a God. I do not claim to know something, but Jesus Christ knows everything. The bible spoke of ones like Dr. Hitch years before they existed: " The fool say in his heart, "there is no God" Ps. 14:1. I do not claim to know anything I just accept the one who does know and claims to know everything.

    Ever heard of 'circular reasoning?'

You're a human with a brain, supposedly. Use it.

And don't pray for me. It's condescending and insulting.

Go out and actually DO something. Prayer does nothing but make the prayerful FEEL useful. Your prayers are wasted breath.

  • @flithern I would take Hitchen's stance; if it makes them feel better, go ahead. One person feeling better does affect the people they interact with day-to-day. As for wasting your time, it will take less time out of the day than people waste watching television.

  • Rest in peace

  • @Iopipimps no resting, he is dead and he wouldn't appreciate your comment. More like a great man who will be missed.

  • @freqeist oh yes there is. its called inertia. unless you think he is still moving around like a zombie.

  • i never new hitch was bi

  • lol i bet cnn tried to get him on piers morgan first

  • Do not go gentle into that good night, mr hitchens, rage, rage! against the dying of the light.

  • @1empathy I love that poem... made me really sad to read it now when he has passed and after watching this.

  • @stunhabterm I knew he appreciated dylan thomas (among many) and it seemed apt, let's remember him by emulating his love of knowledge, freethought and human solidarity.

  • @1empathy Well said!

  • @stunhabterm it is apt, but all credit goes to dylan thomas who i believe was a poet hitchens admired ;o)
