oh the humanity! reminds me of when my friends and i would make mockups of horrendous rail accidents with our HO layouts, we'd use cotton for plumes of smoke and everything...we were very twisted you men.

If you step through the clip, you will see that the last car of the train had derailed prior to reaching the trestle. The operator was evidentially busy with other trains on the system, and did not see the actual point of derailment. Hope there was not any damage to the right-of-way from the dragging trucks. Great catch to the photographer -- right time, right place!
