  • Why is it the best setting?

  • All I can say is WOW! Nice!

  • Oh silly me,thanks dave

  • As a matter of interest,.......what were the best settings?

  • @MrWopwink its on the video dude, at the beginning..

  • i have this amp, can you suggest some setting for stairway to heaven solo?

  • JO !!!! Awesome playing and sound dude !!

  • I just got a epi les paul-100 today not an amp though = [ have to wait till next month, but would you reccommend this over the vox VT 20w? they are the same price so idk what to do help plz thanks.

  • Can you hear this over a drummer?

  • @razormusik it will get over a modist drummer but not over big heavy hitters.

  • @davet247 Cool azz Satriani and great playing buddy.

  • @razormusik see my live in scunthorpe videos for the volume at almost max.

  • hey dude, i live in Scunthorpe, and trying to learn guitar, do u have msn, skype or facebook, so we can chat. if u have facebook look for Richard Devine in Scunthorpe

  • can it do slayer and arch enemy?

  • @givemeajackson i play thrash on it so

  • Wonder how one learns to play like this boring all day long.

  • @2004wjc lol

  • badasss i got 4 vox amps loooove em alll

  • How did u learn that? guitar school or internet?

    U REALLY good :D

  • ITS FOCKING DAVE GROHL

  • you play pretty hip, man, for real. Shredmaster disaster.I play the Blues, for the last 50 years - I stopped to watch the amp demo, ( I have a VT-100), and you totally made me smile, dude. Blue Stu Herman

  • hey U know how to combine effects or create sounds in this VOX model¿?¿? im trying to make a kind of whammy but i don't understand how can i do that

  • @maskedleyend You can only use the inbuilt effects that are on the dial so only the listed combination's are available like Chorus and delay, Comp and Chorus, Octave and chorus. For Whammy effect you just need pitch and then use the edit dial and the tap and bypass buttons to determine how much and rate of the effect.

  • @davet247 Oh Yeah nice Joe Satriani guitar and you play like him.

  • @davet247 I need to know if you can use a Chorus effect.. maybe save that? then add a phaser effect on top? please help

  • 0:30-0:34 - Thats just showing off :D lol

  • Damn bro...you look like Tom Greene,s twin brother...but you play like Jimmy Hendrixs man!!! or..are you Tom Green??

  • marshall mg series have fuck-all compared to this :D

  • is the marshall mg 30 fx good please tell me i play hard rock

  • @ecgedsel I have never tried the MG Marshalls but they have a lot of bad press. The old Valvestates were good for the money but you can't beat an all valve amp, these Vox VT's are the closest thing though, great quality.

  • holy fkn hell,im sold on this amp just from youre playing.jesus christ man!! how long have you been playing...

  • holy fkn hell,im sold on this amp just from youre playing.jesus christ man!! how long have you been playing...

  • @iWASbeingModest lol, thanks man. I guess I've been playing a while now, since I was 14

  • You make a little 150 dollar amp sound amazing.

  • I still don't get it.

Do you need to change the one tube or not?

I heard it was just for show or for simulating the tubes.

  • @llJK17ll No pedals, just the amp. Good init :-)

  • how and what did u practice to become like this

  • @GEOFFguitarhero eating spinach like Popeye before recording! lol.

  • @davet247 lol ill give that a try lol :p

  • wuts that called wut u do at 0:30?

  • @Peruviandude96 You do a trill over 2 notes while lightly sliding your finger down the string, not sure what the technique is called, some kind of harmonics.

  • @Peruviandude96 It's called Autoflange.

  • I need the amp set to sound like an ordinary amp so I can hear my Digitech Death Metal the way it should sound. Any ideas?

  • @race1717 set to AC15TB with virtually no gain, still not as good as a true clean valve amp for pedals but best you will get from the Vox VT I think.

  • @davet247 Great, now I have problems adjusting the EQs to get it right. I need the tone to sound thin so it sounds like if the treble knob is all the way up or something but still rough so I still hear the "chunk" and it wouldn't sound like a bass amp.

  • you are a fucking great guitarist! you should be famous instead of malmsteen, he's good but a complete ass!:D

  • You have just connected the guitar at the ampli?

You have not a effect pedal or other connected?

Amazing skill!! And thanks for your reply.

  • @Percolator042 Thanks, no pedals, just guitar into Vox VT15 :-)

  • hey ty for the vid...not tryin to steal ur custom settings or watever, but it could help with getting better sounds outta my vox

  • Tonight MAthew I wanna be Joe Satriani - Cool Demo :-)

  • Anyone ever tell you that you look like Tim Curry? Nice demo BTW.

  • could you explain the numbers since their are none on the amp itself?

  • @hollowmusic121 I estimated the numbers from 0-12, 6 being in the middle.

  • @hollowmusic121 Much like the Classic 50 controls that go to 12.

  • Dude, you show us your template and then never change models for your demo...?

  • @chris2002Rocklin Please see my other video for the demo, this vid is for my fav setting thus no change!

  • I love that amp, I wish I had it

  • Can you switch off all the simulations so it will use its "own" sound ?

  • @max887 it calls manual mode

  • how can I get a copy of that label you made?

  • @bhugeford I'll make a link soon and put it in the side bar

  • I play a diverse type of music.. from country/blues stuff to shred. Does the amp hold up well? Does it need pedals? Im trying to simplify my setup.. Im getting hooked on these amps quick.. plus Im a big Satch fan...

  • I just bought this amp and man is freaking sweet! such huge warm sounds...you fucking shred btw mang! that wouldn't happen to be a WEEN hat you're wearing is it?

  • Thanks, it's actually a Superman hat!

  • i need a very very clean sound no distortion what are the best settings?

  • @DiscoFork bypass :D

  • I thought that, this amp was very HUGE sounding for a 15 watt amp in the shop...

  • Fuckin' nice man!

  • start playing small ''gigs'' at school and church + band practise. is 15 watt good or should i get the 30. if you got any other good vox amp please recommend it. Peder

  • @peder0204 Depends on how big the venue is. If it's like a 200 seat venue and you're playing with a full band you might want to go with the 50. If it's only about 50-100 person and a three piece band at not too loud a volume you could get by with the 15-30. You can always mic it through the P.A as well if you have to.

  • I'd say the 30 for small gigs and church plus it will sound bigger if you mic it up for bigger gigs. If this were the only amp I personally owned then the 50 would be my choice but anything above 30w then I go with all valve.

  • @peder0204 "15 watt good or should i get the 30"

You don't need the 30 for its extra power (15 watts will be plenty...BUT), you will have much better tone from a 30 or more because of the speakers. 8" is too small to gig with. The 8" speaker is nice for low volume, but you lose bottom-end at gig volumes.

The only Vox 15-watt amp with a 10" is the Valvetronix VT15XL

  • Nice sound. Goota love these little modelers. I have the vt30 and love it x10 bears.

  • Awesome job. You rock

  • are your pickups dimarzio fred bridge and paf pro neck?also what's the factor that easily gives feedback?

  • Yes, Fred & Paf Pro.

The factor for feedback is volume! Have your amp on quite loud then position your guitar in front of the speaker to create a feedback loop into your pickups.

To get different tone feedback, position your guitar at various angles near the speaker.

  • thanks! that's a big help..keep rockin' !!

  • by Gain: 12, do you mean at all teh way up?

or do you mean the number in reference to a clock?

  • All the way dude.

  • ur awesome.

  • = )

  • thnx dude :)

  • so if i have to change the effect and i cant with my hand y have to buy the footswitch? cuz i have the 1500 n i want to use it. What can i do?

  • If you get one of the these VT's then yeah, you can get a footswitch for the built in effects but I'd get a clean valve amp and use your Korg for the best results.

  • can i use a korg 1500 or another pedal with this amp?

  • You could but I'd recommend a clean valve amp for that kind of thing, think of this amp as a series of pedals going through a vale then out to a speaker OR pre amp if you use the output jack.

  • BLUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRR!!!

  • It depends on how loud your band plays, if your bassist is using a 100w amp and the drummer has a huge kit and hits it hard then a 15w solid state amp would have to be on max to cover it, but if you only have a basic kit and play light then it will be plenty loud enough. That's why I recommend 30w for all situations.

  • thnx, and dude ur fuken good

  • is that amp loud enough for a bandpractice with drums and bass??

  • At max volume yes, but I'd recommend the 30w version for band jamming.

  • this is a really great amp!

  • Just bought one of these

And by the way, How long have you been playing for?

    =)

  • Thanks, 15 years now.

  • Hey, Davet... Can you recommend any form of sick metal setting for this Amp? Can't really work one out myself.. XD

  • For sick metal I'd go with UK Modern or Metal Bull or US 90's amp setting with the gain on max, treble at 10, mids on zero and bass on 11. Set the power level low and crank the master up high.

  • Okay, thank you! ;D

  • I m thinkin about getting the VOX VT 30 or the Peavey Vypyr 30 , I ve just sold my crappy Marshall MG 15

    any suggestions?

  • I tried both and both are very good but the Vypyr tends to sound a little more processed than the Vox. There's more options and effects on the Peavey but for pure sound quality the Vox wins out in my opinion.

  • @liammunky

I bought the vypryr 30 first and returned it for the vox. i hated the peavey. lots of problems with the firmware. i've been really happy with the vox. the clean channels are much better

  • am getting peavey vypyr 30 ;D

  • @liammunky get the vox it has a tube, sounds way better, and is louder

  • Comment removed

  • You rock bro! Im thinking of buying the vt100 or just a tonelabst because it does alittle more and just saving up for a voxac15.cant make up my mind, lol what do u think?

  • VT100! the tone is king on these amps, the sound quality is THE best and in the end that is what counts. Also a lot cheaper then an all valve 100w or even 30watt!

  • i have a peavey valveking 100 watt (all valve) and a vox ad 15' and seriously to my ears the vox sounds better than the peavey' fact is the peavey is all valve but i think the warmth on the vox amps are amazingly real

  • @Riot911 thinking of getting it for crimbo woth it?

  • very cool playing bro, this amp is great, i have it and i will try these settings now! peace

  • I really wish I was more familiar with VOX when I was picking out my practice amp a few years back, 'cause the VT15 is amazing for the price. It's like $100 less than my Marshall MG Micro Stack and has such better tone and versatility.

  • I agree the marshall mg series is complete garbage.

  • Yeah. My friend has the MGHDFX halfstack. It has an alright distortion, but not nearly as good as this vox. I have the MG micro stack for a practice amp. It works for what I need it for but it doesn't sound great.

  • haha i try to buy amp but they didn't have so i just waiting right now yeah~~

i'm learnnig 0:50-0:57 that thing my finger keep pres hard ....;(

  • Keep looking, in the UK Vox amp are everywhere. The bigger versions of these amps are real bad boys, very cool looking and sound awesome with the bigger speakers.

  • I got the VT-100. My ears goes to to heaven everytime i play... /,,/_

  • heeey.....so would u say this is a good practice amp for metal, hard rock, and some blues?

  • Great for almost any style.

  • cool!

    thanks!

  • YEAh....i try to buy Vox VT15 15 Watt

    so it's good right??

  • It's very good for a second amp, ie. practicing and bedroom use. If you wanted to gig it I'd say go for the 30watt or an all valve amp with pedals.

  • do you hear that just listen closley yeah that noise its me screaming stricken from a very large distance. i will not die in peace intill you make the cover

  • lol, one day mate :-D

  • hopefully anyways have a good day god bless

  • Awesome guitar play man ! You're skills of course knows no boundaries.

    Cool vid !

  • The Newest Rock Guitar God!
