I haven't played GoW3 yet, but I did try 1 and 2, was good, but never beat them because... somehow I don't like Kratos the character, I mean, big mean spartan with deep voice killing everybody in sight, too much male stereotypes there. Dante had more emotions to him (Kratos mainly had anger). DI had more of a story than just "revenge, kill everyone". Plus, I prefer the scythe weapon controls to the dual-chains. I even like the new splatterhouse over GoW and they're similar too.

Yes it is third person but there were plenty of third person games before that i.e. mechwarrior. Dante's inferno is a game based on a literary poem of genius similar to Beowulf. the divine comedy is the basis of its creation and that existed eons before God of War. Look man theres no point being a redneck about A GAME. GOW was great, i know it was, but its like comparing Battlefield with MW2, - its not the same game, there are wayyy too many differences. you might aswell argue that a missle is better than an orange, theres just no comparasion. GOW is good in its own way and Dante's INferno has nailed the level design concept. Each level is its own game. Try the game :D

i finished the game 2 days ago and i just have to disagree with you . the game feels so much like gow2 : control mechanism , camera , the way the story was introduce/ told . i mean , even the way you get stuff is the same : hammer button ! it's no way as difference as battlefield vs CoD . both games are told in a fantasy world filled with incredible stuff ( im sorry but im atheist ) . they're both really interesting , but DI out shine gow2 by just 1 bit and it's years later than gow 2 .

This is so the 360 get a little sample of how epic God of War 3 is. This game is alright; but only because it's "paying homage" or "copying" God of War.

Funny that the PS3 version has a special edition. It's like; dude...360 finally gets something that is getting close to God of War 2; but they still don't get the special edition? if anything 360 should've gotten the special edition; since those 360 doesn't even seem to have a mascot for action; hack n slash genre.
