I heard of how Jesus changed other people's lives and I wanted it too.I was a lying stealing cheating arrogant sexually immoral drug-addicted jerk.I knew I was bad and wanted to be good.I asked Jesus to take control of my life because I had made a mess of it.He came into my heart and purified my thought-life and heart.I believed He died for my sins, though innocent, and rose again. Understanding His love I trusted Him and let Him transform my life.I have peace now i didnt know was possible.
We only can imagine what Angels sing like but these singers sound so beautifal maybe Angels sound that way. These men are singing without MUSIC which is the amazing thing. Their voices are incredibly blessed. Thank you for posting this.
Every show on Christian radio today begins and ends with some watery acoustic Christian soft rock, which, to paraphrase Hank Hill, "doesn't make Jesus cool, it just makes rock and roll lame". This strong, beautifully sung hymn is fitting accompaniment to Dr McGee's simple, humble, yet earth-shakingly powerful presentation of the Word. May God rest his soul.
@trilobright Wonderfully put. What put me off is when they started doing the contemporary Christian pop in place of the hymns at this church I started to attend. I was like, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I'm no old square either, but it's like you said, it doesn't make Jesus cool, it just makes rock and roll lame. LOL. I'm going to have that printed, hung and framed, I think.
I love this version so much. No instuments here just voices deep within lifting up the LORD and encouraging the church to worship HIM. To hear the brothers in Christ Jesus sing like this it gives me courage and may these same young men sing it exactly this way when HE is come. For some reason when I hear this song it instantly becomes Sunday for me. I listen to J Vernon McGee's Bible studies on the radio and they somehow make me feel a little better each day when I read the Bible along with him and it helps me to understand this crazy world we live in.
