Josh Groban better? When I listen to any version of Anthem by Tommy Körberg, I get goosebumps... Every single time. Josh Groban - no goosebumps. Tommy owns this song, plain and simple. Josh isn't bad, but he doesn't come close to Tommy.
I agree that Josh might have done better to stay away from this song cause it seems to go up to the particular note he has trouble sing in his current range. And it's sort of a key note! Tommy just belts it out :) But I do love Josh for the record. Tommy also just seems to get inside the song like no-one else - even brilliant singers. It just sounds like he alone knows what it's all about.
@ajd626 I have only heard one version of Josh singing this song ... and he hits the the high G perfectly in that version (D-major). But Körberg still sings the rest of the song better than Groban. =) Thumbs up to your comment!
Great version, was in the audience for this wonderful concert...all of his versions of this song are amazing.
