lived in Elizabeth City for less then a year.....that was all I could take of it. Some parts were nice, but most of the city was trash. Most of the town was very run down and there were A LOT of vacant buildings around. Besides the Coast Guard and proximity to the OBX, I dont see why anyone would want to be there. I have now moved to Charlotte and dont regret leaving. It is cuh a better quality of life here now! They should rename themselves "Elizabeth Shitty"

@slayerisgod6661983 ...we can do this all day! how about the officer who was arrested by US Marshals in the lobby of the police department for selling extacy, or the last chief who was fired from florida for getting caught having sex on duty with a woman by his wife, and how she ran her car into a city vehicle, or Rich Olson, who had three wrecks in city vehicles and never had a thing happen, but an officer gets in a wreck during a chase and gets suspended.

@scooby27909 you have no clue what you are talking about, Chief Anderson, the guy from Florida...He was fired for what i said he was. I actually talked with a few Officers from Deland Police department. They confirmed what the rumors were. He was cheating on his wife, during working hours, she caught him, and she rammed her personal car into his patrol carwhich was at the hotel they were fucking at. Rich Olsen did have three wrecks in his city vehicle, the last one he hit an elderly couple.

He came out and said that "His" department will reflect the community by race. Any events that were to be catered by an outside company....his wife got the contract on.....never even went up for bid through the city. I was a city employee. @slayerisgod6661983 ...your higher than giraffe nuts!....I worked there in Law Enforcement, I know what goes on there....They can't keep a Police Chief, cause he comes with some drama from another department, you never know which cop is going to be in the paper next for doing something stupid. The Deputy's are for the most part ok guys, hell they know to stay out of the city limits. Lets talk about the officer who was fired for having sex with a retarded woman in his community watch group.

i live in Elizabeth City, and me and my friends mess around and tick off that dude on the golf cart. cuz we bmx and we ride on the boardwalk thing and he gets mad n chases us.... its really fun

I missed the part in the video where it reports the drive by shootings, child sex crimes, insane drug problem. Also, where is Herrington road and Sawyertown, and the drug dealers dealing drugs on Dyer street and the prostitutes on Broad street. Oh yeah, the drug delaers on Walkers ave. It also doesnt mention the highest electric rates on Northeast North Carolina. How about the 30% of the population that makes up the project housing. Let the truth be told please.

@play27boy camden is nice......even in pasquotank county is nice......I know both sheriff's, they are good people. They are fair, the deputies aren't stopping people for stupid shit. Edenton is a crime waiting to happen

Sometimes, though not much in recent years. Last year we got one dusting that was gone by late morning. Not that it can't snow heavily. The record is 21 inches in February 1989. But even a 3-5 inch storm is pretty unusual most years.
