The new Hockenheim is a boring circuit with slow corners, for a driver there is more to due but for the viewer its boring to watch. To watch a car on the edge of control and speed is what fascinates a viewer, not how well a driver can take a corner (at least to a far lesser extent it matters). The days of latest technology and pushing the boundaries of physics to achieve the highest speed around a circuit has been replaced by a sport known for its limitating rules instead. Very sad... :(

I was just watching this years 2010's Hockenheim race build up on the BBC and they showed how the old layout was briefly and it's amazing all the foliage has taken over the track. They must have had to destroy the grave to let grass and greenery a chance to grow but I would have liked it if they kept it as is.  They said it was converted to some conversation area so it's not all lost. Still though... :D

The last seasons have been closer than ever!!!!!!...but I got the feeling thats not what you meant!

It's not perfect (and never was!), but it has been very exiting recently, and now we have 3 new teams...

In 07/08 3 and 2 drivers within ONE point from the WC!!! Extremely exciting!!!

But as I said it's not perfect:

We could use some better looking cars (like the early 90's), some larger engines with better sound, and yes we need some "odd" circuits like this old Hockemheim!

So im not saying its perfect, BUT neither were the 90's or the early 00's!

It's as good as it gets right now, so please enjoy it instead of getting too lost in nostalgia!

NOW are the "glory days" in 20 years!

Yes it's hard to say, but the sport lost his glamour, the feeling, the fascination and the speed (especially on the new hockenheim circuit ^).

i loved to watch the long back straights.

back in days there wasnt even a track like that.

now theres none,. and "new" hockenheim is gonna be out.
