  • i dont like anyone today much as tom he was so real and personal in his style. felt like i really knew him

  • I watched every show he did. That`s why i love Craig Ferguson because he reminds me of him, i wish Craig would ditch the desk and go for this format and go to the 2 chair format because he does get all he can from a guest and does talk to them. Also i love the fact you learn more about the people not just the stupid movie. Snyder was a marvel at talk and is missed dearly. I have my colortini and all the best to Mom...Miss ya TS

  • I always liked him, and I never knew why. I was so young, and hadnt any ideas what he was talking about half of the time. I remember him mentioning his mom a lot! R.I.P.

  • Was a 17 year old working on a ranch in the Dakota's when I used to watch him, brings back bold memories

  • Used to watch him as a teen stuck on a 12 hour a day cattle ranch job in the Dakota's, sure brings memories back...lots of aqua has gone under bridge since then

  • I remember he played "Once before I go" by Peter Allen after this. I miss him so much. Thanks for uploading.

  • R.I.P TOM WILL BE MISSED AMD ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED AS A GREAT TALK SHOW HOST AND EVEN MORE REMEMBERED FOR YOUR LOVE FOR LIONEL TRAINS I FAVORTE DVD YOU DID WAS CALLED A CENTURY OF LIONEL TRAINS MADE IN 2001 COVERING TRAINS LIONEL MADE FROM 1901 TO THE YEAR 2000 ANY LIONEL OR TOM SNYDER FAN SHOULD HAVE A COPY

  • Quite simply.....the BEST!

  • Craig is so much better, but I do respect Tom and only hope he is resting in peace. But Craig brings something new to the late night genre and that is much needed.

  • @OriginalBetaGaming which Craig? Ferguson or Kilborn? Ferguson is great, Kilborn was better on The Daily Show, but not better than Jon Stewart. Tom Snyder always did a really good show.

  • @lossano Well I said "is" , so I meant Ferguson. He is just so good at what he does.

  • his mom outlived him.

  • Watching just this and the Howard Stern interview (along with old memories of briefly flipping through the channeL to see tom) Snyder seems to be a guy that inside was like the new wave of attitude.. nbc.. jay leno, hollywood, mtv.. INSIDE but on the outside wanted to maintain that olfashioned sensibility ; I think this interview typifies his struggle.

  • Thanks SO much for posting this clip of Tom Snyder on his last show at CBS! He as the best -- and is greatly missed. What a terrific TV personality! I can remember innumerable late nights at college watching his show when I should've been asleep. But, oh -- what wonderful memories I have of Tom and his guests!

  • too bad this guy was about as funny as someone telling a chicken crossing the road joke.

no one clapped by the camera man, one guy even walked off the set.

  • I remember hearing you on my dad's radio at jobsites in Las Vegas while the rest of the guys blared Rush. When I was 15, I started watching you on CBS, because a History teacher said, "This man knows more about the 'Human Condition' than you could ever grasp'. I'm 26 now, Tom. You're not here, but I am - and if you're off on the Eternal Bowling Lane firing up the "colortinis", know that some of us still remember that we remember you, and that's not a writing error. Thanks, Tom. Take it easy.

  • many people loved Tom Green. Doesn't mean he was worth a shit as an interviewer. Snyder blew one. And then talked about doing so for 45 minutes...

  • @orchote Screw off, buddy. Tom Snyder was a newsman and a fantastic one! He is missed greatly. His time at NBC and CBS was very professional and we will ALWAYS be grateful for the Tom Brokaw of Late Night.

  • What a class act. Amazing human being. RIP Tom...

  • NOBODY compares to the late great Tom Synder..Nobody..the best..Maybe it's me, but all the new hosts of late night TV just don't compare.letterman is still pretty cool to me, but I don't get the younger folks at all..RIP Tom..you are sorely missed..

  • Ferguson has said that when he was offered the 11:30/12:30 slot, which is literal ratings poison, he claimed "Only if Tom's okay with it."

  • @orchote No He was doing this on TV in the 70s on the Tomorrow Show Tom was involved intelligent and informed //If you don't like him that is your preogative But Tom did many of the best interviews ever many people loved him as well as his style .

  • T.S. was the best. He was very kind to welcome me to CBS during his final season. Good man and Mark Kennedy and the guys on the crew were absolutely terrific and I miss the earlier incarnation of "Late Late Show."

  • The most classic Tom Snyder clip of all time is from the NBC TOMORROW SHOW when Wendy O Williams of The Plasmatics exploded a car during the show in a music set in the NBC studios with explosives and the entire studio was filled with smoke and Tom just went on with the show even though you could barely see him on TV. CLASSIC TV THAT YOU'LL NEVER SEE HAPPEN AGAIN!

    LOL

  • his hair is epic

  • Always loved Tom...While I didn't catch too many "Late Late Shows", I, sitting in an NBC affiliate Master Control, loved "Tomorrow", both the interviews and style of production.

TV without real people ain't worth spit...

  • 7:14 to 7:16 shows San Francisco, California. Tom died there in 2006

  • i loved the san francisco episode i remember watching that as a kid

  • 2007

  • Nice, thanks for sharing. TSShow has a some shows from the mid 90s.

  • The Late Late Show has not been the same since Tom Snyder (RIP) left.
