  • Lived a MOD, will die a MOD.

Being a MOD isnt such a bad thing when you consider the alternative !

  • i've been a Mod since the late 70's and still love the scene, music, dress code and Scootering, i'm 45 now and still be goin at 75 ;-)

  • @andygrahamme you are a complete fud!! You actually no nothing about a culture you claim to be a part of! I was born in the 1990s and I am a mod and have several mod mates so why don't you get a fucking grip and learn about your culture before you pollute 'YouTube' you wanker!

  • what memories, thanks for posting.

  • I think that the mods are fucking brilliant. Loads young people are mods as well cause they have been learning. I'm 14 and I'm a mod. got all the music and clothes, my dad and brother helped me as well, been to see weller, going carnaby street on saturday and it shows mods will never die out.

  • Born a MOD ,STILL a MOD , DIE A MOD !

  • MY WORLD TODAY................mod got engaged (finally) to modette at the prestatyn soul weekender.............phew

  • i agree with moddave78 ive been a mod for 30years ive spent a small fortune in that time on scooters clothes music, the mod movement has moved on and will keep moving on like has done since 1958

andygraham knows shit and probably reads books on the subject and wears an anorak and has never experienced life like i have ,being a mod changed my life, like thousands like me

  • Must admit this so called mod revival stuff is shit.

    An embarrasment, saxophone yeah right.

    60's mod any day.......

  • All very bland. Paul Weller has got nothing to do with Mods. The original and only Mod movement had gone by the end of 65, and was in its prime in the years from 1960. THe Small Faces were Mods but the Who weren't and its no good thinking you can be a Mod today cos you can't. You want a real Mod Scooter? Find the shop in Edgware Road not far from Marble Arch or Church Street, only thing is you can't buy them but at least you can look!!! Now then where's my hush puppies and my Perry?

  • @andygrahamme so, if you weren't a mod back in '63 then you weren't a mod eh? you haven't got a clue what mod is. mod is ever evolving. Weller has everything to do with mod. he flies the flag for it and it's still something he believes in and holds dear. why can't you be a mod today? you can be anything you like, punk, skinhead, hippy whatever! it's a very snobish outlook that you have! as for you Fred Perry shirt try looking under your Tina Arena and Corrs records!!! yeah, I saw your channel!

  • Paul Weller knows nothing about Mods, he wasn't there!!!! Get a life mate, Mods evolved after young men in the the very early 60's rebelled against what there fathers had been, ie always wearing suits and having no individuality. It was part of the soho culture of italian fashion and coffee bars that had been become popular. Young men then wanted something different so became stylish with their hair as well as their clothes. Modernists to be precise.

  • you know nothing!! it actually started with American jazz musicians playing in soho clubs in the mid 50's!! it had nothing to do with "young men rebelling against their fathers". it was post war working class kids who started earning their own money and had a common interest, music and clothes! yes they wore italian fashions but they also wore sharp suits from carnaby street! they were the 1st mods but doesn't mean anyone after '63 can't be a mod!! stick to the Corrs and leave Mod to the Mods!

  • Total crap mate, you'll be telling me nerxt that Mods didn't go to the Flamingo!!! Go listen to Weller, total Charlatan, just like you.

  • take your blinkers off grandad!! calling Weller a charlatan when you're listening to the corrs and tina arena!!! you're a disgrace man!!! you haven't got a clue!! Your opinion counts for nothing due to your shite taste in music!!! IDIOT!!!

  • WTF

  • I'm 17 but am a MOD through and through and the only one in my home town! I don't think theres any bands from the 2000's on my ipod! MOD for life

  • @Niftee It does'nt matter if you are 17 or 70 . Once a Mod allways a Mod.. I love it and nice to see there are younger ones as well. It's a way of life. Enjoy it as we only have one life :0)

  • Well done m8! that was good. Keep the faith! Andy-Glasgow

  • FUCK ME DEAD thats my old mate Terry Whitby on the right jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuusssssssssssssss thank you so much for the time tunnel lol thanks evertonio

  • proper cardiff city songs

  • That was the problem, any band associated with the mod scene died with it!I was in a band that picked up on the tail end of the mod revival, we never set ourselfs up as a mod band but the mods liked us and gave us enough clout to play gigs all over the country and in europe too. But we never got signed, Heck bands like The Chords were getting released from their contracts due to their links, what chance had anyone got! But as you say listen to these bands today and they are damn good!

  • Many Mod revival bands were underated and as good as many Bripop Bands good to see someone flying the flag for them there was too many small minded people on the Mod scene that slagged off some bands because of some hidden agenda. What chance the rest of the non World giving respect to them.

Luckily today people can hear many bands on myspace and be judged on the music and not some one sided write up or word of mouth prejidice. Keep up the good work.

  • Just great Badgeman Fhchaps.

  • Eleanor Rigby? Eleanor feckin' Rigby!? Elea-feckin'-nor Rigby!!!? I was just recovering from the trauma, when up pops a Mark Johnson wrestling Rusell Brennan sized slap in the face with the Merton feckin' Parkas! What did I ever do to yer? Huh!?!

    Flat 19 is a classic though.... ; )
