these are all good chases - but I'd like to add that the 10 1/2 min chase from the movie "Seven-Ups" and the multiple chases in "Blues Brothers" really kicks their butts IMO.
@fierfly25 First, THANK YOU for directing me to Rendevous! I hope you checked out The Seven Ups chase. It's very similar to the format of the Bullitt chase, but it's unquestionably superior. Have you seen The Hidden (1987)? Here's my list: 1. Ronin 2. The Blues Brothers 3. Rendevous 4. The Hidden 5. The Seven Ups 6. The French Connection 7. To Live & Die in L.A. 8. Terminator 2 9. Bullitt 10. Short Time
Wheels of Terror (1990) 1974 Dodge Charger. Very hard made for TV movie to find. VHS only.on ebay for around $30. A Cult Classic to add to your collection.
others have said bond movies and i'd agree but the very best ones in cinema are undoubtedly here though personally id have put bullitt as #1 but to each his own anyways great vid
I agree! Awesome video, come and check out my 5 best fight scenes form a movie. I am going to upload my 5 best car chases from a movie. I am going to try to put a 5 best...from a movie every sunday.
Tomorrow Never Dies (BMW Car Park chase), The Rock (Ferrari 355 vs Hummer), The Driver (Police Chase), Race With The Devil (Motorhome vs a bunch of cars/trucks) and Bad Boys 2 (Ferrari Maranello vs Car transporter)
Only 5? I got a few more for you to check out: Short time, Chrysler vs Pontiac; Man from Hong Kong, some weird australian cars; Blues Brothers, Mopars; Gone in 60 seconds, Mustang MKII vs everything on wheels; the junkman, Cadillac and later a corvette vs everything on wheels... and an airplane; The bourne identity, Mini vs things; Le Casse, Lada/Fiat vs Opel.
You might also want to check out Alarm fur cobra 11.
@fierfly25 - That one was technically well made, but the shaky cam and overall wonky art direction in it ruined it too much. Most Bond films have fine chases - "Her majesty's secret service": the best part of the movie.
There are many neat chase scenes out there, those are all good... but best? After the main formalities have been met (for *me* awesome stunts, entertainment value, amount of destruction, bonus points for uniqueness), then I run out of things to quantify this empirically.
bullet number one

@fierfly25 The Seven Ups as a decent Chase scene so far from what I saw. If I had to make a top 5 list, it would be
5-Smokey & the Bandit/Gone in 60 Sec.(These movies are just one big Chase lmao)
4-The French Connection (Unique how a car is chasing a Train)
3-The Seven Ups
2-Bullit/Die Hard 3 (Taxi scene)
1-Basic Instinct (This is just one damn good movie)
