This kind of game is the reason why I thank god for Turn-based RPGs!! Like I mentioned, I do like certain types of Action-RPGs, just not this type! You'd would even do better with Star Ocean or Kingdom Hearts! Man, sorry for ranting so much! But I'm just really pissed that I threw away money on this game! I got store credit atleast but still, I rather would of had a game that I could truyly enjoy! I hope this helps anyone else who is thinking of buying this game! DON'T BUY IT!

I mean yeah, Turn based is awesome and all, but its sort of slow. And now, you're missing out on one of the most epicly obscure game series ever...

@hypersonic64 What burned me up about Ys7 were the shallow party commands! And spending retail price on it! It's not the worst game ever, I just felt mislead by the thin description of the party command AI system. They should have gone into more detail. I did rant on a bit much. lol. But paying retail to be let down hurts! Not a terrible game, just party AI controls annoyed me a lot. Maybe a bit more than "a lot". lol

@hypersonic64 Well, what I mean is that there isn't enough option to have the party NOT attack all the time or to just let Adol attack solo. I wish they would of made it more specific in command options. That's all I meant.

Rogue Galaxy, Devil Summoner 2, Tales, Dungeon Siege(heck,even Crisis Core)are good to decent Action Rpgs! But this is the kind of Action rpg I can NOT stand! AAH!! Waste of money!There really isn't that much strategy like I was told! And it wasjust a visual, blurry mess during combat! I hope future Y's game drop this annoyingparty systemthat makes the action hard to view and with hardly any control of party!Stick to any of the above mention Action-RPGs and you'll will do better than this game!

I bought this game today and let me tell you. If you're like me, NOT a big fan of hack n slash games DO NOT buy this game! I got burned BAD by an X-Play (I love x-play, btw) review of this game! They gave it a 4/5 which is ok. BUT they said it wasn't a hack n slash type.Not true. It so is.I didn't know wtf I was doing half the time!! It was a mess!The party AI setting options sux bad(you have only 2 or 3 settings)! I liked Arc of Napishtim(except for load tmes)Too bad it wasn't more like it.

the psp needs more games like this! and just an idea.. sony should take the idea from older ps1 games like having multi discs and apply that shit to the psp. i wouldn't even care if i had to have 3-4 umds for one game as long as it wasn't half assed. seems like every game is always lacking something because of how much space a umd disc can carry.... i know this isn't a forum lol just saying cuz this game looks sickky sicky gnar gnarr! =)

@pspvampire all games are like final fantasy except its 4 pple in a party and its all free roaming so theres no taking turns in battle. and yest theres sum for oso but the graphics arent all that good. i think the games are tales of destiny 1 and 2 and tales of phantasia. OOo there is some for psp its called tales of world. theres part 1 and 2 but part 1 is in english but part 2 is in japanease

there's about 4-6 Tales games on PSP...one of them is different from the others,Tales of VS (only in Jap so far), is basically Super Smash Bros. for PSP...up to 4 ppl fight, move left and right, unlock characters and levels, special moves, power hits, regular attacks...ect...besically the same thing but controls are a bit weird at first

Yeah the only one that I've tried is the VS one because the fight scenes looked like you got more control over your actions, and you do, only thing is that I couldn't get used to the attacks and controls and got my ass handed to me by a CPU on the lowest lvl...but that didnt stop me from playin multiplayer and kickin everyones asses...to bad I had no clue how I was pullin off some moves XD
