Saw these guys back in June along with Seasons After and a couple of local bands here in Seattle... They're amazing live! Also a very nice group of people. Jim & Andre were right in front of us the whole time and gave my friend and myself many a photo op during their set and I met & shook Cristina's hand after the show. She carries herself with such class, it's nice to see a female musician that isn't a bitch or trying to prove anything. She is who she is and that's all she'll ever need.

@patrickdan02 In what way? *shrug* they're EXTREMELY comparable in terms of vocal ability...I mean, neither one is "the best" (anyone who says they are simply haven't heard the likes of Lisa Gerard or Annie Haslam, both of who blow these chicks out of the water...or they just don't know basic vocal theory)...but between Amy and Cristina, they're both very similar in terms of sheer skill, neither one is honestly "better" than the other, they're just different.

err, LoVeeLyos - that's exactly the same thing. And I don't think they sound that much alike. They just have a similar genre.

Amy sings in a much higher tone and her vocals have a very haunting and sometimes echoing tone sound. Their songs are about different things and their songs generally are piano based or have piano in them.

Chistina sings in a lower voice and her songs are faster than Evanescence's I think.

But either way they both are great vocalists and make great music.

My new theory on why they get compared so much is more that they are both simply such amazing singers. They're two of the best female vocalists in Rock/Alternative I know anyways.

I woulnd't say that they're voice rane is that different but i do think that amy can go both higher and lower than Christina's. Tehy have two totally different styles though.

and i couldn't fit it all into one comment, but anyways, Amy definitely has a more haunting voice, and slightly fuzzy sound, which really adds to the haunting effect, but goes pretty sharp into the higher notes.
