This is Funny. It takes place in america and yet it is a honda. Not to mention it has California License plates and it is a RHD. That's what reaaly makes it funny. IT'S A JAPANESE GOOF.
Nice observation! MJF was probably preoccupied with another film at the time, and so thus couldn't fly down to Japan for it. (Plus, why take the time to fly to another country just to shoot a commercial?)
Honda America is headquartered in Torrance, CA... I used to work at Lexus/Toyota NA which is in the same area, and you'd see RHD JDM test vehicles from Toyota, Honda, and Nissan (who was based there at the time, now they're in Nashville) cruising around every few days or so with CA manufacturer plates on them. In the 80's to early 90's, the Japanese loved seeing their products in the US, so they probably decided to go ahead and get some shots of a JDM Honda Integra tooling around Torrance, lol.
