  • I love Loretta Lynn. I have enjoyed her music over the years. She is the Best, We may not have a lot of money but we have memories and closeness of family. There were 3 boys and 3 girls and we took care of each other. Would love to see her at the Grand Ole Oprey. Maybe one day.

  • Absolutely class love This song x

  • This reminds me of my mum .... she was a coalminers daughter and the words are 99% related to the welsh mine area in south wales Britain . I t even sings about her gran doing the same stuff.

She never heard this song ,but I just know it would have bought a tear to her eye .

  • @behappy3373 the queen

  • i was there she sung this she was great live and Opry house is huge

  • Too cool !

  • She is still in top form after all these years...! My grandmother won a radio contest and received free tickets to a concert featuring Loretta, Conway Twitty, and Moe Bandy. My brother and I held out for as long as we could, but eventually had to go to the bathroom, and on our way back we saw that they had called our grandmother up on stage to meet all three singers. We tried to join her up on stage, but without her right by us to claim us as her grandkids, we couldn't get past security. :-(

  • How can anyone listen to this and not be smiling from ear to ear by the time it's done.

Such a great lady, and such a great entertainer - The Real Thing - God bless Loretta Lynn.

  • i saw this performance at the Grand ole Orpy it was great concert

  • Let's do the Math all over again!

982 people liked this video, while 14 said they "Did not Like this Video"

It does take a moron to disrecpect the opinion of the Minority!

Life on Earth would be very boring if every human being felt the same way all the time!

  • Loretta and Patsy Cline are the two legendary country music ladies that will always be remembered as "TRUE COUNTRY"......I love them both.....and Loretta reminds me of my country (hillbilly) roots growing up without any of the modern conveniences and my daddy was a coal miner and farmer who raised 12 kids.

  • Loretta will always be right up there with Patsy Cline....two of the "True" country music lady singers....their music is legendary...love all of it!!!!!!!!!!

  • this song gets to me, reminds me of me great ganddad who worked in the mines iswel, rip granddad williams

  • @tookey2s Sorry Patsy Cline is.

  • I remember watching her sing this song live on TV

  • She aged well.

  • Too bad that her kidds are such leaches or otherwise she could retire and enjoy her life.

  • @Puterdad Wow. Is that true?

  • @Puterdad why do you say her kids are leaches?? She may not want to retire, look how long she has been performing. She is not used to just sitting around.

  • 2 words National Treasure. I love you Mrs. Lynn

  • 1st female inducted into Songwriters Hall of Fame!!!!!!!!!

  • I would definitely not considering myself a country fan, but this was a beautiful performance. How could anyone dislike this song? Maybe you should read a quick bio on her, and just maybe you could understand her music a little more.

  • i grew up listening to loretta lynn and george jones...i remember watching grand ole opery with my dad...here im only 24 and know that this is real country music!!!

  • Loretta is one of our legends!

  • Loretta looks so Beautiful!!

  • when was this filmed?........iremember hearing this when i was a boy

  • @SANHEDRIN666 This was recorded pretty recently. The song itself was released in the 70's i think..

  • Thumbs up if you have been to her motocross track

  • She is just awesome, I love this video!

  • My mother (83) grew up in an Appalachian coal mining town with 7 brothers and sisters. I told her and my aunt to go see Coal Miners Daughter. They said it was exactly like that. No electricity, no indoor plumbing. They got shoes and maybe an orange for Xmas. They only had 2 bedrooms, and at times rented the parlor for extra money. Funny, the road they grew up on just got paved & a name! God bless Loretta for showing what real hard life was like...and surviving!

  • @verbaud my mother was raised in a coal mining town until she was 9 yrs old and she told us about it many times. she lost her father there to black lung. that is when my grandmother took them from west va. to ky to live.

  • @58teenybop who cares

  • Butcher holler <3. Her homeplace is beautifull.

  • Love this,, i may be from a different time,, but still brings a tear to this rockin dudes heart and soul (and eye)

  • you are an ass. as simple as that...

  • One of the best story-telling singer I have experienced.

  • I don't know why when I was younger I always thought Loretta Lynn sucked, but now I have really come to appreciate her music & I have heard from a friend of mine who met loretta & she said the she was the nicest woman you could ever meet, if it wasn't for women like Loretta Lynn where would country music be.

  • I have always loved Loretta Lynn!! I would give anything to meet her!!

  • I really love this song and the Movie Coal Miners Daughter. I met her Twins Patsy and Peggy before the show. I wish I could've asked if their momma would've signed the Biography of her life. I saw the movie at least 16 or more times. I hope to see Loretta Lynn again. I did manage to get close enough to the stage and get a photo. I clapped my lightup shoes to her, her Keyboard player smiled at me. Best Wishes LittleCountryDJ Happy 2011 New Year to you all too.

  • Love to Loretta. She seems a little uncomfortable here at times, that just makes me want to send her more support. She is an American Idol, a great groundbreaking talent and a sweet person who should be uplifted.

  • Sissy sang this wonderfully in the movie, but no one but Miss Loretta could really do it justice.

  • Loretta you are such an inspiration to so many people. You remind me of the way i was raised, us kids didn't have much but we appreciated what we had. Our daddy made sure our tummys were fed every day and we were warm at night.Unlike some kids today we were so happy to get just a little something.Your daddy raised a girl who showed a country what can come from a family with true values, love and dedication.More of what we need today. God Bless you darlin.

  • What a looker! I'm in the middle of reading "Tammy Wynette - Tragic Country Queen" and loving it. She was so ladylike and classy.

  • I know this is America and everybody has a right to their opinion so in my opinion 12 people need a good boot in the ass.

  • @krammit69 Why don't you like Loretta. If you don't get off of her music and listen to stuff you like.

  • @MrRickycurry huh?

  • Classic song. Classic singer. Its great.

  • I am 36 years old. I LOVE country music. I have been singing myself since I was a little boy. I know music. BUT I DON'T THINK LORETTA CAN SING. HER VOICE IS JUST ORDINARY.

  • @haslakse you wanna know something.......since this is america you can give your opinion.... well in my opinion ur STUPID...... loretta can sing and is one of the best singers i have ever listened to.... she is a legand and ur NOT so get over your self.... and for someone who doesnt like her listens to it.... well dont listen to it again and just to let u know ur opinion is dumb.

  • @haslakse You are FUCKING STUPID Loretta Lynn is the Greatest Singer Country Music has and will ever have. That why Loretta is the MOST AWARDED LADY in the HISTORY OF COUNTRY MUSIC. And if you tried the key word tried to make it in the Music World I have to say where you are Fucking Stupid and can't tell who The Best Singer Is You Would Fail Bad and I would love that because I official hope you burn in HELL for saying Loretta can't sing. Little Fucker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Gorgeous dress she has, Tim is a master Tailor!

  • I'm not much of a country music fan. I only listen occasionally. But I'm here to tell you that this lady can flat-out sing. And this song is a true classic.

  • There ain't a word that can describe how amazin she is

  • why do 12 PEOPLE not like this.

  • @f250Di Let's do the math: 698 people liked this, but 12 did not. Now, if we divide 12 people (idiots) by (x) 698 people (not idiots), we come up with a figure of .017, or 1.7%. If you do some simple research, you will discover that 1.7 percent of all human beings are TOTAL FUCKING MORONS.

I hope this answers your question.

  • @TheOldGunslinger hahaha....good post but I think the percent of total morons is much higher!!!! The election 2 years ago is proof of that!

  • @adga140 Lol. Sounded a little low to me, too :)

  • @TheOldGunslinger I think it's nice that you're willing to stick up for Loretta Lynn, but the 12 you claim are idiots could be people with Phd's in subjects you or I couldn't come close to or have IQ's that are over the top genius for alll you know. To like or dislike something is a rightful opinion and not an idiotic decision. To get all smug with your math figures and calling people TOTAL FUCKING MORONS, suggests that you're one yourself and you need to grow up and express yourself properly.

  • @TheOldGunslinger now its up to 14

  • @TheOldGunslinger Wow........that's a really smart way of saying that! LOL!!!!! Now we can say 14 of those people are morons!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TheOldGunslinger Love it! so true.

  • @TheOldGunslinger lmao... This is probably one of my most favorite posts of all. Thank you. lol

  • @zephyrd2007 You're welcome! :)

  • @TheOldGunslinger It takes a moron to make such a declaration about his peers!

  • @TheOldGunslinger Can i be a little more subtle, she is absolutley gorgeous. america needs another Rushmore for her Cash and Parton to name just a few.

  • @TheOldGunslinger Except your math is wrong. As of this minute (956 likes, 14 dislikes) = 970 votes. Now the ratio is 14/970, or 1.4%. So 1.4% of YouTube listeners disagree with you. That doesn't make them morons, although I would question whether they listened with open ears and mind.

  • @turtlens Hey, man, I'm cool! Always appreciate an update!

  • @TheOldGunslinger Any body who thinks this song is not good must be damn jackasses this may not be yours and mine story but it is someone and when we look at our lives it may not be all that far from being our story. Loretta has never done nothing I don't like

  • @TheOldGunslinger math genius share some of it lmao

  • @TheOldGunslinger I love Loretta...but she sang this kinda fast. I like it when she sang it slower. Back in the days when I listened to her so much.. I'm just old fashioned I guess. :(

  • @SaraSmileAZ she might have sang it a little faster because i think they are only given so much time on stage at the opry

  • i think the Queen of Country should write and sing a song for the Wva Coal Miners 29 that was killed in the mines she had 3rd cousins from Cabin Creek where mines have run for years.U r Great

  • WOW! A LEGEND. THANK GOD WE HAVE LORETTA! She had such a great country voice!

  • What an amazing career - an absolute legend

  • She's the best no doubt!

  • Why is this video so great and heavily watched? GREAT camera work, awesome musicians, Loretta relaxed and happy, and perfect gestures - the smiles, the hand out in front ("to wear" - hand), and the sweet nostalgiac upward hand chop and wistful look on "Aaaah and it's so good" - just the best live performance in years.

  • i am German, but fan of Loretta for a lot of years.......

  • doesn't she look like this song just brought back alot of memories for her when she sing this song. when she first heard her sing this she sang with alot of expression can you see the differencce? but she sings very good i love everthing she sings.

  • she has gotten older through the years just like anybody, and i have seen her in concert once, it was recent so she was older and couldnt remember and sing as much, but she is still so lovely in concert and her daughters are great as well. very lovely.

XOXOXOXOXO

  • I think she was great but the tempo was off and the band was rushing her thru the song as if they wanted her performance over. Whats up with that anyway. I hate when bands try to lead me as i sing. You would think she would give the tempo slow sign and tell them something and i think she did but they didn't adjust. that sucks.. I love you Loretta.

I just think the band was terrible in doing that you can hear it from the get go..

  • I think she was great but the tempo was off and the band was rushing her thru the song as if they wanted her performance over. Whats up with that anyway. • Every time, with out a doubt , I get tears when i listen to this song.

  • Absolutely love Loretta. She sound and looks beautiful. I wish they would have slowed down the pace and toned down the band too. Anyway, this woman is the best.
