I mean this in a very nice way Please take this as constructive criticism.. The kid is getting bat on ball - FANTASTIC! But, there are things that are fundamentally wrong about his technique, and he must 'un'learn them. a) the backlift.- nope. if he wants to make it to grade cricket, he msut change his backlift. b) why do his feet keep coming across all the time. If he learns the wrong things early on in, it will be very difficult to unlearn and learn the right thing. all the best

I would like to say somthing to his parents. Definitly A professional coaching at this age might eleminate his natural shorts and foot works. pls avoid it. But Obviously Holding of bat has been changed recently for which an immediate rectification is needed. So pls consult with someone who having an approach of Observation,understanding and treatment rather than imposing their style. Pls keep him away from the exegrated praises. It has spoiled many cricketers at their blooming period.

I agree when you say Gray Nicholls, but reebok and nike??? u do realise they r rubbish and worse than mongoose, and the professioals you see do not use reebok or nike, they are sponsored by them and they get their own custom personal bat made for themselves in which they stick reebok and nike stickers on cos they get paid to. Besides im sponsored by mongoose, and you can get a normal sized mongoose as well, that is suitable for all formats. which you can see this kid is using as well

To this boy's father: I think that you should let him get used to a cricket ball and he reminds me of a mixture of Tendulkar and Gambhir or even dada. Get him to change his bat to a proper bat suited to a wide range of formats like a reebok, nike or gray nicolls.
