  • The fine-tuned argument may or may not be a good one, but these points aren't valid.

    1. Whether or not Allah could create an alternate universe, if the universe does in fact appear fine-tuned, and Allah is a feasible option, it is evidence against the alternative, because it doesn't fit with that theory.

    2. There is plenty of evidence that alternate universes with different universal constants wouldn't be stable. Google it. What may be true is that we don't know if they COULD be different.

  • We are in danger on our own planet. There are lot of thing that want to kill us and we wouldn't live long with science and technology. It's safe to say the universe was fined tuned to kill us. Theists always compare odds with one sample and say if you remove X from the equation, life would be impossible. One, they can't prove it and two, astronauts seem to be fine without gravity. The universe isn't even fine tuned for life anyway, wouldn't last a second without technology.

  • @HybridD91 Cont. It's no accident or chance life formed on a planet that can support life.

  • Dude, hopefully you're not implying that the earth or the sum of potential human-life-supporting environments is as big as 0.01% of the universe. The portion of the universe that could sustain human life is so way far less than that.

Apart from that, cool video, bro.

  • If the argument is, that the universe has to be fine tuned, because otherwise we couldn't exist, then the same can be used to say: "The universe is fine tuned for me", because if it would bee only a tiny little bit different, I wouldn't exist.

It also was fine tuned for Stalin, it was fine tuned so the dinosaurs would go extinct, it was fine tuned for the crusades to happen and so on.

It's really one of more stupid arguments.

  • I wish the guys torturing the goat in the background would hurry up and just kill the poor creature.

  • The universe is obviously not fine tuned for life... that's like saying a dog is fine tuned to fit his collar, or my I am fine tuned to fit my clothing. It's a mistaken cause-effect fallacy of thinking.

Life is fine tuned for the environment we live in... not the other way around.

  • @eagleeye1975 Fantastic analogy!!!

Said another way, if a 6-story concrete parking structure is built and at some point in the distant future a single weed takes root & sprouts on one of the floors for a brief time before it dies, then a theist would argue that the parking structure's design was specfically fine-tuned to support the growth of weeds.

This type of logic is ass backwards & absurd, yet it persists & even prospers throughout our human society. So sad.

  • @LetReasonPrevail1 This computer was fine tuned for YouTube XD. My ears was fine tuned for ear plugs LOL. Do theists realize life now wouldn't exist in a much older Earth?

  • Christian creationists have also made similar claims, the same arguement could be applied to them

    Axcellent video :)

  • I wonder if evolution is in turn, "fine tuning of life for the universe"...

Life adapts to it's environment (at least from what we observed here on our planet), so in a way it "fine tunes" itself, and so far "life" as an idea, at it's most basic state, survived all catastrophes (statistically always some individuals survived. On the other hand "fine tuning" implies that there's a desired goal at which life need to arrive, so I'm not sure the phrase applies.

  • The music sounds nice =p

  • excellent points you make...kudos bro...peace be with

  • @MasterOhSo:

Like most videos on my channel, this video is a mirror and not originally mine, but I'm glad you like it, and hope you find its points useful ;-)

  • Jihadis know that Allah is not omnipotent. They know Allah is a pathetic weakling who needs an army of retarded Jihadis to fight for Him. YouTube Jihadis apparently think Allah is an illiterate who needs idiots to type for Him. If Allah existed would He let me talk shit about Him?

  • tune is catchy though

  • As Carl Sagan said, "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence"; there is no evidence of "fine tuning" whatsoever. This is another of the alleged 'scientific miracles' in the Koran which is easily debunked with some basic knowledge.

  • @ChoofMonster These people who try to argue for the existence of God via reason are simply desperate to pit their religion against science to prove that their religion is objectively true. Soren Kierkegaard noted that believing in God isn't obvious, that faith requires real effort - one wonders therefore whether these so-called 'believers' just don't want to put any effort into believing in God so instead look for a short cut to suit their demands for the proof of the impossible.
