You mean the freeze setting in sample mode? It's cool but kinda useless if you're working with a seq since it won't keep in sync (most likely anyway)

Not useless you just shouldn't expect to use it for steady loops, noisy stuff works well especially if you're running it through a vca that's being hit with an envelope you can add in rhythm to a "non-synced" sample.
