great vid of a great performance of an excellent phish song. I was lucky enough to get it at augusta last tour! awesome show. this sounds like an AKG source I downloaded.
@SamuelAging. Exactly. Even though there are a lot of douche bags now a days. but so what. Take into consideration this was the horde tour too. I think, right?
@5321jerry : No, Horde tour was Summer of 1992. - Phish's Summer '93 tour was a blast of high energy shows - 34 of them from July 15 through August 28. They swung by me for the 3 shows before the last one @ The Greek in Berkeley. The band was hotter than ever and about to turn up the heat...
I disagree, I was there and frat boys were not into Phish..it was true heads who liked good music. maybe there were a few frat boys, but not many to mention. this was a time when real people seeked out real music!
I hear that emjayscafe.....phish played my once lil town of Bellingham Wa in 93 or 94 @ the Mt Baker Theater which only holds maybe 2000 pheeps? Take nuthin from today....but a Different time for sure.
@Ducatiboy73 : Hey I was at the Mt. Baker show in B'ham! My crew from Seattle trekked up for that one, the next night in Vancouver (even smaller place - a Vancouver Discotheque with maybe 400 people) then back to Seattle for the show at UW. Good lord so many of us were dosed at the Mt. Baker show....
Can snyone,..lol. please send me this song, the best versions that u have or know about. please.. I love it and the studio verson!!mmm so good!!!looking for cool chicks and friends toooo!!
@TrueColors311 hey dude, if you want a classic fefy solo, check out may 7, 1994, bomb factory dallas tx. i get goosebumps every single time i listen to that solo
Hey, This is a great song... and it is nice to hear a different performance... but this is not the best musically, as Trey has done on this song... does anyone want to post another video performance or simply dub the audio of a superior FEFY to some funky slide show?
so many people wearing white because this was from a different time in history. A time before followers put their best tie-dye on for the Phish Show....the scene was so much different back then...people were at these shows to see a great band play REALLY well almost exclusively, not to go to see Phish because it was hip to see Phish....Not being elitist...just saying that the scene used to be secondary,,,and that changed in the late 90's....
I have to disagree. When I started seeing Phish in 1989, the audience was almost exclusively hippies and heads....tye-dyes, batiks, drug rugs....the whole nine yards.About the time of this video, Phish really started to get big with the college kids....and the frat crowd with their white t-shirts and baseball caps. After 1995 when Jerry Garcia died came a whole new crew...the tour-rat deadheads with no place left to go. But i don't care...Phish should be enjoyed by everyone no matter the shirt.
I started seeing them in 93, and I also noticed the downward spiral of the scene in 95 after Jerry died. You must admit though that it used to be more about the music than the scene. I completely agree with you though, these guys are for everyone....
@SamuelAging you might be right about that, although I found out about Phish in 1991 from some friends who were "turned on" - although we were all much more a bunch of geeks on acid and dope than "heads" (except for me, I loved the Dead, the rest of my crew liked Rush and King Crimson and Zappa). funny thing about the girl who introduced the Junta tape to my friends - she was a straightedge nerd from Bryn Mawr college. so.... my experience doesn't entirely gel with you.

My first show was 5 days earlier in Miami. This brings back so many great memories. I wish Phish would release some early 90's videos.

Yes, the whole Phish phenom was more about the music pre 1995, for the freaks and fratboys alike.
Come to think of it, it was more about the music for the band as well. I think when they really started getting big it took quite a toll on them.
I am hoping they will show me they are back to being the best live ROCK band on earth at Fenway and Great Woods....
